A different take on fairytales. Such a fun concept. I love the story and the main character was so cheeky and fun! Fairy godmothers need happy endings too!

Oh my days 🤗
Corruption in the fairy tale works, so much fun trying to solve the reasons for her demotion. You will not be disappointed I laughed out loud during this book excellent read.

The ideas behind this had so much potential, but I wasn't impressed with the execution. The book dragged on and on with just enough mystery to keep me reading, but the end resolution wasn't as satisfying as I wanted it to be. If there had been more "show" and a less "tell" when it came to the character's emotions, I think I would've connected with them better.

Wrath of a Tooth Fairy by Sarina Dorie follows the misadventures of Mira, a former Fairy Godmother. Mira managed to fall from grace in the most disgusting way possible. And from there she becomes a Tooth Fairy where she is trying to work her way back to becoming a Godmother.

While reading this I kept comparing it to Helen Harper's How to Be the Best Damn Faery Godmother in the World (or Die Trying). There was similarities in the world where Godmothers are high ranking and fairies fight to get the coveted roll. I found the story fun and fast paced. I found the main character a little bland but she did grow. I read this book 3+ months ago so I am trying to recall opinions and really I remember wanting to read the next book because it was fun. The world structure stuck out and the ending of who was the bad guy was satisfying. The love interest was intriguing as plot device but overall I find the characters all forgettable. I have no real characteristics to describe them.

Three stars for being enjoyable, and I do want to read the next book. The characters need some work to be more definitive. I really can only describe their jobs/ what creature they are and that was for the main character and the big bad this book. Thank you to NetGalley, Sarina Dorie and REUTS Publications for the free copy. This is an honest review.

I enjoyed this book so much and loved that we had a deeper understanding of Bogeymen, Tooth Fairies, The Charming's and more. This was such a fun read and I didn't want to put it down when I started. The romance aspect was lovely to see and the investigation into their boss was fun to watch unravel.

This is the first book I have read from Sarina but definitely want to check out more now.

What happens when a Fairy Godmother falls from grace? She's doomed to work as a Tooth Fairy. The story opens with the scandalous flashback to when she was caught in the closet with Prince Charming - only to learn that he was married to someone else. She went on to receive the blame for the affair, being called awful names and suffering under the implication that she seduced him. After that moment with the prince, she lost everything: her good name, reputation, friends, job, and was even kicked out of the realm. The opening is a necessary moment that Sarina Dorie uses as a catalyst to show the worst moment in Mira's life while also giving the underlying reason for her desperation to get her status back. The story then jumps to 2014 where her job as a Tooth Fairy is set up like a regular office building where she deals with common situations from the delicate line of making friends with co-workers, dealing with sexual harassment, sexism, embezzling, and classism. These elements lead her to uncover the truth behind what's really going on in her office (and her boss's actions) and inspire her to form an alliance with the other Tooth Fairies.

Mira has an attitude that has given her an edge and kept her going through re-establishing her life after her banishment. But while she has a strong brazen side, she also has a compassionate and big heart. She cares about the children (as any Fairy Godmother would) and tends to lag behind in her work (collecting teeth) because she tends to help children with their various problems. She genuinely cares about the children despite being on the clock and its the one way she's held onto her previous life. As the story unfolds she uncovers several shocking secrets - like the rich kids get cold coins while the poor kids get regular ones - and even uncovers the truth behind her banishment. As if she didn't have enough problems, she's haunted by a Bogeyman who speaks in cryptic messages and with the determination to help her. Despite the fact that she may be heartbroken and has spent the last several years avoiding any and all connections, she meets Aden who shakes up her world with a passionate connection that has her head over heels. The story explores a world of darkness and light through a fairy drawn to creatures of darkness who may help her finally understand the light. Wrath of the Tooth Fairy is quirky, funny, emotional, and weaves a story that uncovers betrayal, manipulation, and second chances. Dorie delivers a story that explores defining moments in our lives through a magical world with demons and fairies.

Unfortunately, I could not finish this book. I couldn't figure out if it was an urban fantasy or a paranormal romance. The relationship between Mira the tooth fairy and the bogeyman felt borderline abusive.

I was pleasantly surprised by Wrath of the tooth fairy, yeah it’s my favourite; a fantasy - romance..
Mira gets demoted from fairy godmother to tooth fairy after being caught with Prince Charming by his wife. I wasn’t sure by the premise but thought I’d give it a go, but it was funny, engaging and so addictive to read, yeah I was a bit confused sometimes trying to keep up certain characters but overall it’s a great escapist read, full of fun, friendships and a bit of mystery

Mira, as a fairy godmother, made an illicit mistake. She was caught in the coat room with a Charming. Banished down to tooth fairy, all she wants is to regain her position as a fairy godmother.
When it is time for her to try to be a fairy godmother again, things start getting weird. First she has a Boogeyman following her. Then she has a dark prince, who looks like a Charming, who is trying to woo her. Not to mention there is a whole lot of weirdness going on at work. That leaves Mira confused and looking for answers.
Opinion
This book is absolutely fabulous. By taking something meant for children such as the tooth fairy or a fairy godmother and turning it into an adult book, Sarina Dorie has hit gold. This was such a fun read that I thought about it as I went through my day and was forced to do something other than consume the book. This book will NOT leave you wanting for more. It was a fun read from start to finish.
Many thanks to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this book.

Thank you Netgalley and publishers for a chance to read this.
I read about 25% of the book and really enjoyed what I read.
Unfortunately I got distracted with wedding plans and the likes so I ran out time to complete the book.
The story kept me wanting to know what would happen next, and who would end up where.
I need to be keep an eye out for this to go on my Kindle to finish the book.
Happy reading!

Wrath of the Tooth Fairy is the first book in the Fairy Godmother Mysteries series by Sarina Dorie. Mira has never understood why princesses have all the fun. Fairy godmothers deserve a taste of Prince Charming, too! Too bad that affair costs Mira her job and reputation. Cast out of the fairy realm and reduced to working as a lowly tooth fairy, she’s spent ninety-nine years waiting for her chance at redemption. So why did the bogeyman have to start haunting her life now? Frustrated by the frequent terror of his visits, Mira takes drastic measures to save herself, including a date with a prince of darkness—yeah, she has a thing for princes. But her obsession with all things prince isn’t a coincidence, and when corruption in the fairy community is exposed, Mira comes face to face with the real reason she was demoted. Now, she wonders if she even wants to be a fairy godmother again and if the bogeyman might have been right all along.

Wrath of the Tooth Fairy is an urban fantasy with romantic elements. I liked the set up and thought Mira was a good character. She had flaws and issues, as everyone does, and is just trying to do the best she can. I could completely relate to her doubts and worries about whether people really wanted her around or were just setting her up to fall or for a joke. Saw bullies pull that way too often in the real world- and still see that sort of thing. However, I really did like the way her personal growth was handled. While an engaging story is important it is the characters that really hook me into a story. The Bogeyman, irruption, and romantic elements were very well done. I do need to admit that most of the twists were things I saw coming almost from the beginning. But the ride was highly entertaining and the conclusion was not quite what I expected. I enjoyed the read and expect to explore more from the author.

Wrath of the Tooth Fairy is a good series starter and I am curious where the story will go from here.

What if the fairy tales are wrong, what if the Charming family isn’t full of wonderful prince heroes and angelic princesses? What if beneath the legends and myth really lies a corrupt system meant to elevate nobility and oppress the rest?

Mira is a tooth fairy banished from the fairy realm as a 100 year punishment for a “crime” of passion. She’s demoted from fairy good mother to tooth fairy and subjected to a life in less than ideal conditions. 99 years has passed and Mira is so close to being at the end of this chapter in her immortal life. All she needs to do is keep her head low and pass her exams to be returned to the life she misses and loved. Things however are not destined to be so simple and a chance encounter with a boogeyman while on the job changes everything. Mira is thrust into a spiral of events that will expose the corruption and deceit she’s been living with all along.

I could not put this book down. I found myself wrapped up in all the emotions that were carefully crafted into each page. The magical system is a fresh take on a worn out storyline that I could not get enough of. Even the smutty parts were well…. Satisfactory. I would absolutely recommend this adult fantasy to anyone who enjoys a new grown up spin on the classic disney-esk ideas.

When a fairy godmother is caught being very very bad, what happen to her? Why she is demoted of course. While being a tooth fairy Mira is trying to work her way back into her fairy godmother position. She meets all kinds of obstacles she has to overcome including the bogeyman! This was a fun read! I was surprised at how my enjoyment I got out of reading this big. It will put a smile on your face. Especially when love wins the day!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

A book where the protagonist is the bogeyman!

In fact, this story is very original, it is full of misunderstandings, drama, romance and comedy. All with fantasy characters, especially fairy godmothers and tooth fairies. It sounds very peculiar but its plot is very well structured.

And the plot twist left me speechless. Totally surprised.

'Wrath of The Tooth Fairy' - 3 ⭐

(Unpaid review: thanks to @netgalley, @sarinadorie and the publishers for allowing me to read this eArc copy)

This book is a romantasy for adults. It has some explicit content but definitely worth the read. Mira is demoted from her job title as a fairy godmother to a tooth fairy after being caught having intimate relations with Prince Charming.

I liked this book, but thought the concept could have been better taken care of. I got confused sometimes with the characters but there was a good twist at the end!

I really did try very hard with this book but no, it did not deliver. If it had shown something that blurb and the gorgeous cover promised, I would have been more charitable.
The premise is highly intriguing as it takes the Fairyland operations as departments and our MC, Mira, is a fairy Godmother fallen from grace to a tooth fairy for dallying with one of her charges and I have never met a blander personality than her. From what I can see, the author doesn't really convince me that her fall from grace wasn't really her fault but only reinforces the idea that she is, in fact, sex-addicted.
Maybe, if I had gone in without the expectation for any semblance of a plot, then I wouldn't have had such an experience because truly, I couldn't find it.
There was so much potential but they couldn't care less writing style, subpar characters, and the non-existence of a plot ruined it.

Wrath of the tooth fairy is a fantasy - romance book for adults.
Mira is demoted from her job title of a fairy godmother to one of the tooth fairy after being caught having intimate leasions with Prince Charming by his wife.
Mira gets positioned as tooth fairy to the poorest areas of America and if that isn't bad enough she gets haunted by the 'bogeyman' and then reported for sexual harassment by her superior!
I found myself having mixed feelings about this book. Although I found the concept to be different and unique I found it confusing to keep up with who was who as I read it and found I just couldn't warm to the characters in the story.
The ending had quite a good twist which I did rather enjoy!
