An interesting take on a different kind of fairy tale creature. The cover and blurb grabbed my attention, and I was excited to dive in.
Unfortunately, when I did get to read, it was a lukewarm feeling at best. I don’t know what exactly I was looking for, but this wasn’t it. Most of the story seemed to drag, and it really weighed down the experience.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad read, but it really wasn’t for me.

While reading this I found myself falling in love with a bogeyman and damn they're words I never thought I'd say. I also loved that the book opened with the Fairy Godmother and Prince Charming getting it on in a wardrobe haha.

Although this was a fun read, I found that it just started to drag on and I found myself losing interest in what was happening. I kept looking at other books that I had and was wishing I was reading them. The cast of characters were all likable enough but I wanted Mira to be stronger.

I can definitely see how this book would appeal to a lot of people but unfortunately it just wasn't one for me. Thank you so much to NetGalley and REUTS Publications for the opportunity to read this one.

After messing around with Prince Charming, fairy godmother, Mira, is left distraught, angry, and broken hearted. Working through a 100 year sentence of being a tooth fairy, on the 99th year, the bogey man shows up, Aden. After being robbed by Aden, her careless and strict boss shows no sympathy, thus making Mira take matters into her own hands.

A for effort for this book. While the story line and concept of the book was brilliant, the execution lacked heavily. While Mira carried a heart full of compassion and love, the way the author portrayed so much within this book was heart breaking. The author showed no real knowledge of low class and different races lived. Her lack of sympathy towards those stereotypes was a game changer for me. Basically, a large amount of the book was just *cringe*. The book have used another round of editorial work as most of the book could have been cut out. It should not have been so lengthy with all of the repeating nonsense. The short enemies to lovers feel lasted for all of about two pages(?), and even then, the characters did not mesh well.

I enjoyed this well enough, pacing was good but I did feel it was similar to so many other Fae books out there, only its a tooth fairy instead...

Mira is a fairy godmother whose indiscretions with Prince Charming get her in trouble. She’s heartbroken, mad, and demoted to a tooth fairy. Fast forward 99 years and she’s working through her last year as a tooth fairy before she can return to the Fairy Realm and start her life fresh as a fairy godmother once again. During one of her nightly shifts gathering teeth she meets a shadow man. A demon. A bogeyman. After running in fear from this shadow man, Mira realizes that he stole something important from her. After this encounter, this bogeyman haunts Mira’s dreams.

I feel like Mira stated how she was disgraced in the Fairy Realm a bit too much. She mentioned it a dozen times in the first couple of chapters. The world building and magic system was wonderful and unique. The story itself was a great concept, but the execution fell flat. It had a lot of potential. The way the author portrayed the ‘poor’ family living in a trailer was classist and honestly one of the worst parts of this book. She stereotyped people living in trailers poorly, no pun intended. The family had a bunch of children all crammed into two small bedrooms and lice ridden. I get that Mira was supposed to be this kind tooth fairy, coming to the rescue of poor, impoverished children, but honestly, that characteristic and story line only took away from the book. And then her portrayal of the ‘immigrant housing’, Y I K E S. To add to those, the way the author wrote accents was appalling. At least a third of this book felt like filler. The timeline doesn’t seem to add up either. The love story aspect also had a ton of potential, but felt very forced. This bogeyman literally stalked this fairy and then what, she fell for him? He manipulated her. And there was very little love story to follow. The characters did not feel relatable.

this story was a creative play on this fairytale and i really enjoyed how everything tied nicely together. i was not entirely satisfied with the ending, and i didn't really like the romance all that much, which impacted the plot and it took me out of the story a little bit. overall an enjoyable read, just some things that didn't work well with me.
thanks to netgalley and the publisher for providing me with the digital arc in exchange for an honest review.

This is a fantastical version of the struggle to overcome one's own fears in order to stand up to inequality and corruption in the corporate world. The fairy tale-esque setting was unique and refreshing for this type of plot, and I loved that the author gave the fairies the same first world problems many humans have and added some comic relief here and there. This book started out slow for me though, and I have to admit I thought about giving up a few times during the first half. The main character went through the same daily routine a few too many times without enough new information being added, and there were just so many things that didn't add up and I wasn't sure I was hooked enough to find out if everything would be reconciled in the end. But the plot really picked up after the first half when everything started to be explained and all my questions were eventually answered.

Overall I thought this was extremely creative and appreciate that nothing was left unexplained. However, I was not entirely satisfied with the ending. After everything the protagonist went through to get there it still felt like she was judged by her past. I found the romantic relationship was lacking as well, which further took away from the ending. The romance was somewhat significant to the plot, but I also felt weird (for lack of a better word) about it. Not only did Mira's boyfriend start by regularly stalking and harassing her - no matter how noble his true intentions were - most of the relationship building happened off-page and when the couple was together things were (although understandable given the circumstances) often rocky at best which left me unable to feel the love when it was supposed to be there. This was still a great book and I would recommend it to anyone who likes strong female characters, fairy tale-style fantasy, and happy endings.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

After reading the blurb, I felt that this concept was amazing especially since it incorporated supernatural creatures from our childhood and twisted them to develop a new and unique story.

However, the reason why this book was not my cup of tea was because of the surplus of vivid sexual activity being portrayed. That was the last thing I was expecting from this book and it really made me uncomfortable. It really ruined everything for me.

I also wish there was more humor in the book. There were moments where I felt like there was supposed to be a corny joke but i never laughed.

The author did a good job at keeping the mystery going but to be honest I think it was kind of obvious who the bogeyman ended up being.

I forgot the protagonist’s name but I wish she was more relatable. I felt so distanced from her. Maybe because I don’t have the same shared experiences as her but she wasn’t really a memorable character despite how righteous she seemed to be.

My rating: 3.25

I don't know what I was expecting when I requested this ARC but I certainly wasn't expecting what I found in it. Books with “Tooth Fairy” in the title are usually meant for children but NetGalley made it very clear that this was a romance-fantasy. I guess I was intrigued to read for myself what the author had attempted. The end result is what I should have anticipated – mixed feelings.

Mira is demoted from her job of being the fairy godmother to Prince Charming after she is found in a compromising position with him. Her new profile has her as the designated tooth fairy for the poorer regions of America for a penalty period of a hundred years. Now, in the very last year of her punishment, she finds herself suddenly haunted by the bogeyman, and facing sexual harassment through her reporting head. If she wishes to be reinstated as a fairy godmother, she needs to start taking action.

The blurb promised a more fun story but I found the book quite dramatic. It was quite heavy on romance, no doubt. But the fantasy part of it is very weak, only restricted to the various fantastical creatures who are the main and secondary characters in the book. I wanted more of a legitimate fantasy and a fairy godmother standing up for herself, but this turned out to be a romantic drama with fairies & other creatures instead of humans. The plot had an interesting but weird amalgamation of urban human life and fairy fiction, what with the fairies using Google to find information.

If I had felt at least some attraction to the characters, I might have enjoyed the book more. But I simply couldn’t connect with Mira or the other fairies (Harmony was the only one I liked for the way her character was etched out). I didn’t get the romantic association between Aden and Mira. I also feel that the title of the book is quite unsuitable to the story. The wrath part doesn’t reveal itself till about 90%, so there flies your main emotion out the window. The Tooth Fairy part too gives the incorrect idea, as I mentioned earlier, that the book will suit a younger audience. Also, the cover contains one really big spoiler about one of the characters of the story. I didn't understand why that plot point was kept under "cover" for such a big part of the story when the cover depicts that character clearly.

I was completely disappointed by the first half of the book, not just because the story was completely other than what I had anticipated, but also because it meandered too much without making sure that the plot was supported by the twists and turns. The pacing was quite slow, the chemistry between the characters was almost zero. Another big disappointment was that the big reveal about Aden (Mira’s love interest) and the bogeyman is quite guessable. Only after the 70% mark did I regain some interest in the direction finally taken by the narrative and the ending was more or less a good conclusion to the story. But it was a case of too little too late.

The ending almost tempted me to give a high rating to the book but that would be an unfair representation of the overall book. So a 2.5 stars for the first half and a 4 for the second half makes it a 3.25.

Thank you, NetGalley and REUTS Publications, for the Advanced Review Copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Fairytales meet modern days in this delightful fantasy romance.

I haven't read anything by Ms. Dorie before, but the book description sounded interesting. While there were a lot of characters to meet, I didn't feel lost at any point in the story. It flowed well and kept me entertained from beginning to end.

Mira has had a rough time of it since she was caught with Prince Charming. Demoted to Tooth Fairy, she works tirelessly to regain her Fairy Godmother status. It's too big a part of who she is to give up. Mira has a big heart, always looking out for those in need, and even if it will get her in trouble and possibly cost her the future she desperately wants, she can't help but make sure the children are taken care of. I loved her character!

The Bogeyman wasn't at all who he seemed to be. Creepy, stalker-ish, and evil are the ways we typically view the Bogeyman, but Ms. Dorie put a different spin on this story. I won't spoil the surprise, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you discover who he is and what he's been doing.

The side characters made the story richer -- vampires, fairies, and other creatures help round out the world Ms. Dorie has created. I wouldn't mind reading more about the other Tooth Fairies and hope they'll get a book in the future.

Wrath of the Tooth Fairy was an absolute delight! Mystery, romance, and the age-old tale of good vs. evil made this a page-turning, entertaining read that I couldn't put down.

I didn't know what to expert when I started the book to be honnest. But I am definitely not disappointed.

It is a great retelling of the fairies and the realm around it. It was a easy to read, and hooked me from the beginning.

Some part of the story that in my opinion are unecessary as they are already described previously.

Otherwise I still recommend this book, especially if you like twist in the stories ! You won't be disappointed with this, I always wanted to know what was going to happen next.

Well... I'm not sure how to review this book. I loved it and I loved it because it was so unique and different from other books I've read.

Three and a half
This was very different to previous books I've read by this author and for me an improvement. I liked Mira although she's not exactly perfect but is definitely working hard to not just get her old job back but actually help the children she comes in contact with.
Well who would have thought that the Bogeyman could be written as a character with many facets ? I did find his character to be a little all over the place at times which led to confusion. What was most interesting however was the scheming and corruption back at Tooth Fairy central ! That made huge sense although I do think that this book felt overlong at times.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

I was apprehensive starting this book I initially loved Ms Dorie's Womby's school for wayward witches but I loathed how the series concluded. To the best of my knowledge, this is standalone and I really enjoyed it. Mira was a likeable character and she didn't deserve what happened to her. There were plenty of twists and turns to keep you hooked. I figured out some of the mysteries but even I was supposed at the ending.

A dark fantasy retelling of the beloved tooth fairy story

One which will haunt your dreams and you’ll never want to leave your tooth under your pillow ever again

I love a Fae tale and this will be a firm favourite quick read for a long time

I was not expecting to every be afraid of the Tooth Fairy, but lo and behold here we are.

This was something I was not thinking I would like, but overall I feel like I enjoyed this.

This paints the Tooth Fairy as a "dark fae" sort of creature, and somehow, SOMEHOW that works.

If you like dark fantasy retellings of classic childhood myths, pick this up.

This is a different type of story. Mira is a disgraced fairy godmother who has almost finished her punishment of 100 years as a tooth fairy, after falling for Prince Charming and being discovered in a closet with him.

There are demons, fairies of all types, angels, vampires, elves, Santa, the bogeyman, etc. The writing is fine, written in first person from Mira's POV. This is a long book and I would have liked it better if the plot had been tightened, because I kept putting it down and reading other books as it sometimes zoned me out. It's very easy to read and understand though and quite entertaining in parts, but probably not quite my cup of tea. There are a lot of characters our heroine interacts with at 'work' and I do think the author has a wonderful imagination. My thanks go to NetGalley and the publisher for the e-arc in return for my opinion.

A fun new take on fairytales, I enjoyed this so much. It's the fasted I've read a book in a while, because I simply could not put it down.
Even after losing her job as a fairy godmother, Mira proves she is kind and thoughtful and she's a great main character. I enjoyed going on her adventure to prove herself.
There was the right amount of comedy and romance to make this a fun read. I will definitely read this again.
