It was fine. It kept me reading but I didn’t really engage with it or find myself loving the story or the characters. I wouldn’t recommend it to friends but I’m sure some people would like it.

Magical realism, suspense, drama, likable characters...This was my first book by Kerry Anne King, but it will certainly not be my last!

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

This book was not what I expected. She was just a thief moving peoples items from one house to another. I don't know what was magical about that? It just was not my taste and I ended up dnfing this one.

This book gave me less than I was expecting, but was still good. The “magical” element causing Nicole to relocate items from one house to where they send her was fascinating, but quickly led to her getting into some serious issues. To me, this felt like her believing something that others just can’t see realistically and getting labeled a thief. It did take a little while to pick up and I honestly almost DNF’d it since I’m not a fan of slower paced books. It could be that I just didn’t connect with the characters or story for a while so I still encourage others to give this book a shot.

Nicole is a thief but she considers herself as a person who moves items to their rightful place. When Nicole comes across a book, her stealing habit, changes her life and get her in touch with many interesting people. Other People's Things is a book for mystery lovers.

Quirky and cure, sure, but not to my taste. It didn't grab me so this was sadly a DNF for me. The writing was good, and I enjoyed the tone.

Kerry Anne King’s characters are distinctive and she develops the characters as the story unfolds. Each book has been different, but her writing style is similar and it draws you in from the very beginning. She’s compassionate with what could otherwise be unlikeable characters and the story wraps up neatly.

A unique story that will grab the readers about half way through. A fun cast of characters filled with twists in their relationships. As you learn more about Nickle, you will start to love and root for her. The touch of magical realism is just right in the book. Keep reading and you will be rewarded with the last half of the book.

This book was so different than anything I've read. It's rare that I find a story that I just can't compare to another book, but this story is one of a kind. A girl who feels the need to move objects where they belong. She's a bit of an unreliable narrator in a subtle way. I couldn't get enough of this book. Do yourself a favor and give it a read.

A quirky enjoyable story with a little romance and magic thrown in to keep things interesting. Good character development with likeable characters and a plot that kept the pace quick and kept me up at night to finish.

I would describe this as a modern with an element of romance and some magic.  You will be taken on a crazy ride full of turns and twists by this book's storyline. In this book, the characters were so lifelike, and I was completely enamored with them. There was a lot going on in this book, and while I usually dislike books with a lot of side plots, the side tales and drama in this novel were done so beautifully that I enjoyed them. NetGalley gave me with an e-copy of this book for review purposes, so I can offer an honest assessment of how I feel about this book.

I really wanted to like this one, but I just had trouble connecting to the story or the characters. It probably doesn't help that I'm not a huge fan of insta-love and this very much felt like that. I'm sure plenty of people will like this book, it just isn't for me.

Thank you NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for this eARC!

This was a great, original story! There were definitely some heavy topics, but I think the author did well with including them in the book. I enjoyed the characters as well. This book of magic and second chances is worth the read!

A very witty and original story about a misfit character who is either a compulsive kleptomaniac or a highly intuitive individual whose sense of where things belong in the universe compels her to “relocate” them elsewhere. This inevitably leads to a series of misadventures which somehow connect in a very clever and inventive way. Very different and a main character with loads of potential for more quirky adventures.

With thanks to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book.

This was a feel-good book that I could finish in a couple of sittings. The story picked up pace at around 25%, and became pretty interesting then on. The sheer number of coincidences in the book, whose reason is explained later makes it a little unbelievable - takes it into the "magic" world without being a book about magic. The best part about the book was the premise - which was very fresh and uncommon :)

I enjoyed this quirky story, wondering whether Nicole was a kleptomaniac or suffering from a life changing trauma. Nicole has been accused repeatedly of stealing, but she claims that she does t steal, but relocates items to where they let her know they belong. She doesn’t really understand it herself, but she knows she never lies and doesn’t keep anything for herself. Her soon to be ex husband is on her case, as he is a manipulative man, but when he hires Hawk, a PI to follow Nicole, the story breaks open when Hawk realizes who is telling the truth. There are appealing secondary characters, with their own stories, and I did not want to finish and lose these characters. Highly recommend and thank NetGalley for the opportunity.

Jailbird. Klepto. Spectacular failure to launch. Nicole Wood’s sticky fingers have earned her many names, but it’s not that she’s stealing—some objects just need to be moved elsewhere, and the universe has chosen her to do it. Still, being a relocator of objects isn’t easy. With her marriage on the rocks, no real-world skills, and the threat of prison hanging over her head, Nicole is determined to change her ways.

Things seem to be looking up, thanks to a godsent job with her sister’s housecleaning business—until she encounters a seemingly harmless paperback that insists on moving from one client’s home to another’s. Nicole hopes no one will notice, but the action stirs up long-hidden secrets and triggers a series of fateful events that threatens to destroy the life she’s creating and hurt those closest to her. She’ll need to embrace her unwieldy gift and take a chance on love in order to unravel the mystery and fix what’s gone wrong.

HOLY MOLY!!! What an amazing book!! Has all the major componants of a fabulous story!! Betrayal, a little mysticism, romance, family drama, marital distress and a psycho - what more can you ask for!?? I would love to see this be the first volume in a series of Nicole's adventures. This is the second book that I've read of Ms King's and it's cemented her place on my auto pre-order list . Thank you to netgalley for a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
