I loved this book so much, I finished it in about 6 hours. This book was so well written and interesting the whole way through. I felt very connected to the characters and although I am not in the same situation as Jane, I could relate to her. I loved the story, the title is so fitting because Jane literally snaps, and let us face it, she deserved to snap. I will be recommending this to my friends and my mom. I am interested in more books from this author as I enjoyed this so much. Thank you to the publisher and net galley for the arc of this book.

A book club, beach, vacation read. Fiction at its best. This tale has your rooting for the characters you’ve come to care about amongst the pages.

This was a cute little story. Jane's meltdown was hilarious. I was in love with Officer Chavez and his sense of humor. Dan is a self-serving asshole.

At first, I wasn't sure if I'd like this book. Jane frustrated me by shutting down, shutting everyone out, and holding onto her secrets. By the second part (especially when her and Iris go to Burty's rescue), I started to warm up to her.

The ending made it all worth it. This was a heart-warming story about family, secrets, friends, strength, and starting over. There were some laugh out loud moments (I chuckled when Chavez gave Jane his phone number), which rarely happens for me.

This book was funny, sad and hopeful all at the same time. It’s not your typical failed marriage book. It adds a few different elements to the story. Easy to read and very entertaining.

Jane seems like she has the perfect life, holding various chair-ship roles and hustling to support a new wing at the hospital where her husband works, but something is going wrong right from the start of the book. Light, cleverly written and with interesting secondary characters, this will be a good beach-read for someone familiar with the genre who isn't after anything too meaty or demanding at the moment. Gorgeous cover, which the book doesn't quite live up to.

A typical story in this genre, it was engaging and a good, quick palate cleansing book. Jane is a mother who is, as the title suggests, in the process of snapping. Everything around her just seems to be falling apart, and she’s gritting her teeth and clenching her fists to get through it all.

The instigating incident, with a subtle nod depicted on the cover of the book, was rather funny. I do feel like there were a dozen mini storylines in here that stayed very surface level and could’ve either been fleshed out or scrapped.

I’m iffy on the storyline with Jane’s husband - he’s having an affair (with a man - which seemed to be made a big deal of, unnecessarily), but he’s also just an awful person. It’s like.. an affair AND he’s a terrible person? Pick a struggle!

The book was enjoyable enough, but nothing groundbreaking. I like having these types of books available to me, as - like I said earlier - they’re good palate cleansers and really light and quick to help get out of a reading slump.

If you were to see Jane Osbourne, you'd think her life was perfect. She's the PTA chair, the envy of the other mothers at her daughters prestigious private school. She's got a charmed and stable marriage to Dan, a very attractive and successful surgeon who is perfect.

That's what you'd see anyway, but it's far from the truth. She's stressed out, her daughter is constantly in trouble and worst of all, Dan has been living a double life for the last eighteen yers with his secret boyfriend and Jane is trying to keep up their perfect appearances for the sake of his career and the life they've created together. But pretending to live a lie isn't easy and soon, she has to figure out if her false stability is really worth her happiness - or she's going to snap.

I'll be honest - I always feel awkward when a storyline like this pops up - the 'my husband is Gay' trope has been done countless times before and it usually is done in a really disrespectful and somewhat homophobic manner. This almost teetered into an uncomfortable place but Jane made it very clear that it was the betrayal itself that was the reason for her rage - not who the betrayal was with. Whether or not Dan was confused or not, these things definitely happen and can cause total chaos in the fallout.

I really like how Jane was so upfront and brutally honest with her emotions (to the reader, anyway). And when she starts to break she has to start looking inwards for a journey of self-discovery and learn to rebuild with the new her she's learning to know. She's a mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife - but she has no idea who Jane is without all the labels.

The final resolution to this story was strangely sweet - I felt like without me realising these characters had grown from vapid, two-dimensional beings into real humans right in front of me.

This was my first Bethany Crandell book and I enjoyed it. In this age of social media, I think everyone can relate to the premise that some people try hard to show a perfect life to the outside world. This is usually not the full story. The author did a great job to inject some humor into the story which was much appreciated.

Jane caught her husband in a sticky situation a few months ago that she has kept to herself, and it has been eating at her and her stress levels. One night Jane, as the title states, snaps. This night leads to an arrest and joining a police led therapy group in order to get the charges erased. During this time, Jane becomes friends with the ladies in her group and the office her arrested her. This was a fun read following Jane during her ups and downs.

See Jane Snap by Bethany Crandell is about Jane, a stay-at-home mom in her late-thirties who finds out that her husband has been cheating on her for most of their 18-years-marriage with another man. The news effectively shatters the idea of the pristine life that she believed she was living as stellar mom, president of the PTA, and team mom for her daughter's soccer team. However, Jane can't just get a divorce. She has a sister who can't hold down a job, a twelve-year-old acting out, and a mother with Alzheimer's living in an assisted living facility, On top of all that, the financially struggling hospital where Jane's husband Dan works as the head of surgery is courting a large-dollar conservative donor who they think would withdraw his donation if he knew that Dan was gay. As the stresses of Jane's new less-than-perfect life build, Jane has a breakdown and is arrested in a grocery store parking lot after she assaults a woman with oranges and then has an accidental trip on ecstasy. In order to avoid accruing a record, Jane is enrolled in a therapy group for low-level female offenders, which starts her journey of healing, exposure to lives different than her own, self-discovery, and potentially love. With so much packed into this book, some story and character development is not fully explored. The result is a book more focused on moving the plot forward than on fleshing out some of the details. Overall, however, the book was an enjoyable, quick, and entertaining read.

Jane snapped. Right off the bat. I was expecting more of a subtle build up to Jane’s ultimate breakdown but it’s pretty evident from the get go that things are just not going her way. Part suburban housewives, part romance and part redemption story See Jane Snap has a little of everything! I even laughed out loud several times! Will be looking for more from this author! WoW this was an emotional journey for Jane! This book was extremely hard for me stop reading! I devoured this beauty in one sitting and I love that about a good book!

It was a toss up for a 3.5 or 4 star book so I went with 3.5

I enjoyed the “family drama” in this book- it wasn’t so completely over the top that it didn’t seem real which I loved.

I loved how relatable Jane was. I have been in those moments when I about snap or just need a break or some sort of stress reliever. With everything Jane had going on in her life it’s no wonder she snapped.

I definitely felt there were moments throughout the book that they could’ve spoken more about like: exactly what happened in Denver, Jane’s family/sister, more about her friendship with Iris and Burty after the class was done. I feel like some of those we heard about and then it just stopped or fell short.

Overall a pretty good book- very easy read and I did enjoy Bethany Crandell’s writing style.

As I first started reading, I thought I would find the book engaging, as it was so refreshing that the main character appeared to be so honest about her emotions. However, I am really sorry to say that I was hugely disappointed and did not enjoy the book on any level. I finished the story as I wanted to leave an honest review, and I hate leaving a book before giving it the opportunity to "grab me". A relatable character who appears to have everything, but her life is a sham, struggling to be a parent, a wife, a friend, a daughter and a sister. Jane falls apart, has the opportunity to rebuild and find justification for her existence...blah, blah, blah... No depth in any of the relationships, just froth that can not hold its' shape... I am so sorry, this just did not appeal to me at all.

Oh what a book. Had no idea how it was going to end. In fact, it wasn't how I envisaged it... It was better! An interesting topic. The stay at home mum scenario was very relatable. Excellent read!

I very much enjoyed and related to Jane. This book also had some great laugh out loud moments.

I read this book as a palette cleanser. I was side tracked by a bit character that purely was in the story to make an unnecessary joke. That I found borderline offence. So that soured my reading experience. I finished the book so I could review it fairly. The main plot was what to be expected from a book within this genre.

Author Crandell has a wonderful gift for dialogue. When characters have conversations, they flow easily.
Jane is a very likeable character (for the most part) and it's somewhat easy to predict the outcome, however, the story is well written. You become a cheer leader for Jane, the main character. She is pushed out of her element and like any good story, learning and growth come out of it. A fun read. Thank you to the publishers and Net Galley for this opportunity.
