Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the chance to read this book.

For the first time I have to confess like another reviewer that I didnt finish this book - and believe you me I never give up on a book.
I do wonder if I had read it before under a previous title - its easy to forget what books one has read even when reading the blurb when you read books of a similar genre.

I found the number of characters hard to follow and the style of writing difficult going from the first person to the third even when about the same person - often the main character Ruth Owen.

So sorry this isn't more positive

I confess I didn’t finish this book because I realised I’d read it before under a different title. I was just glad I hadn’t purchased it as new.
The character names were familiar first especially when Drago was mentioned.

Unfortunately I found this book too slow for me and was unable to finish it.
There are a lot of characters and interaction but the story does not move along and was unable to keep my interest.

What a delightful read this was, I so found it very enjoyable from this author.

Loved this book and was gripped from the start wanting to find out exactly what Drago had done to Ruth Owen, full of twists and jaw dropping when all is revealed
Well written that you feel as if you are among the characters and actually on the canal with them
Loved it
