I was so excited to get my hands on this copy after reading the first instalment on NetGalley previously! I flew through this book as I couldn’t put it down. I became quite attached to Nadine Finch and her story in the first book in this series and I couldn’t wait to find out more about her and how her various relationships develop, I’m so glad I got to read this!
It was exactly what I needed; a good twisty turny thriller with lots of plot variation, good character development and a good crime knowledge as well! really enjoyed it!

My thanks to Jenna Kernan, Bookoutre and Netgalley.
This was a fantabulous read! I loved the concept of a core group of people, whose own mothers are murderers and/or serial killers working for law enforcement to find serial killers.
A profiler, homicide detective, medical examiner and one efficient aide. They've all had some messed up families! Nadine comes from a long family tree of killers. That tends to make her an excellent profiler. Also, even though I hate romance...I'll confess that I loved Nadine's beau. That's Clint. He's the detective. He's kinda Wowser!
This series is now on my list. It will be a series that I'm going to continue to read.
As for the Hunter? That's one seriously messed up individual. Which makes for great reading!

Nadine’s life is definitely not what you would expect from an FBI profiler. Her Mom is a serial killer and currently serving prison time, her uncle was a serial killer, and her grandfather was a serial killer. She’s brought back to her Mom’s old stomping grounds in Ocala, FL to help with the disappearance and murder of two women. Soon the body count is piling up and Nadine is hunting for a new serial killer.

There were so many twists and turns in this thriller. I had no clue who the killer was going to be and stayed up all night to find out! Jenna Kernan’s characters were very likable and I felt as though I was right there with them trying to solve the murders. This was the first book I’ve read by Jenna Kernan and loved it!

Agent Nadine Finch is sent to Ocala National Forest in Florida to investigate a murder. She swears she would never step foot here again after the case that tore her life apart when she was a child. However, she sees the murder victim and knows that she has what it takes to complete the case and figure out who did it. After examining the body, they realize that the suspect is hunting down the victims and it is merely a game for him. The serial killer starts hurting people close to Nadine and Nadine tries to figure it out before anyone else around her that she has come to love is hurt or even worse, killed.

I have never read a book by this author but I am very glad that I read this book. It was a page turner from the very first page. You are immediately drawn into the book and trying to figure out who the killer is during every single turn in the book. I was kept on my toes the entire book and I continued to guess but wasn't right until the ending. The book was very engaging and I couldn't put it down. The book does go into very great detail about the killings so that may turn off some people to the book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes thrillers that keep you guessing the entire book.

4.0 stars.

i really want to thank netgalley and bookouture for providing me a arc in exchange of an honest review. if you like addicting mystery books that focus in special agents and detectives, plus, also have a female FBI profiler agent as main character, this book is for you.
“as agent nadine finch rushes to investigate the murders in ocala national forest, in florida, fear floods her body. she swore she’d never set foot here again, not since the case fifteen years ago which tore her life apart from her.”
i did had some issues with this book, but mainly i just expected more, plot wise. and also the chemistry between the main couple was lacking a little bit, but overall, it was a good and addictive read.

Wow this one is not for the faint hearted. Extremely graphic but ultimately an absolutely compelling read.

Our main character, Nadine Finch is an FBI serial killer profiler. Having had a very traumatic childhood with her father leaving her in her early years, her mother in prison for multiple murders and her brother in prison as well on sexual assault charges Nadine fears that she herself may have the newly discovered and somewhat controversial "violent gene". She can think like a serial killer, that is why she is so good at catching them.

In The Hunted Girls she is called to her hometown in Florida where she grew up as young womens bodies begin to turn up in public places. Brutally murdered, they are hunted like prey. Is it coincidence that the murders are taking place in the small town where Nadine grew up or does the killer know her and has coaxed her back home?

I absolutely loved this one. It can be read as a stand alone(as I did) but there is a huge back story that is so compelling I really need to read the first in the series.

Some really clever writing and plot outlining make this a real page turner. I slowed down on this towards the end as I was enjoying it so much I didnt want it to end.

One of the best books I have read this year. Highly recommended.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

Nadine, Nadine, Nadine! She blows my mind. Her tormented past. Her diabolical family and the job she chooses to do! If you have not read book 1 you can still read book 2, but I think reading book 1 really lays the ground work, enhances the depth of your understanding of Nadine and her team. Each member on her team, including her Detective boyfriend Clint Dempko has a relative who is a killer. Such a unique concept, but then who better to help catch killers. Nadine has a more gumption in book 2. She still questions herself and her family. There are twists, turns, and its not for the faint of heart. This is a true thriller, a psychological thriller that is like being on a tilt a whirl, fast paced, turning around, slamming you one side than another. There are moments of light, love and smiles. All needed in this dark and creepy book, I will say (no spoilers) pls pls pls if book 3 has a certain family member, let there be hope. Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture and Jeanna Kernan for the arc. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

WOW. This book is fast paced with action all the way. You won’t want to put it down.
When two women to turn up dead, tortured and shot with arrows the FBI are called in to find would be the serial killer.
New Agent Nadine Finch rushes to Florida to profile the killer and hunt him down, but maybe that’s what he wants. Women Nadine has come into contact with start to disappear
Will the Hunter become the hunted?

I loved this book and was super excited to get it as my first Netgalley! I really liked the development of the characters and plot, and how it kept me engaged- I found myself reading it every free minute I had! The storyline held my interest and Nadine was a likeable and believable character. I thought the inner thoughts she had held true to what was going on in the book at the time, and it helped me to stay focused on the story.
Overall one of the best books I have read in a long time,I read it in just a day!

I feel like I just read an episode of Criminal Minds! The Hunted Girls by Jenna Kernan had it all, FBI agents working to come up with a profile for a serial killer and some looks in the killers POV, and some family and relationship drama in there too! The characters were all complex and have interesting backgrounds! The premise of this was super intriguing and it kept me questioning everything and everyone. I loved that I wasn’t able to guess who the killer was, until they were literally right in front of my face!

Agent Nadine Finch is called in to investigate two murders in a location she knows well. She and her team members have one thing in common - each has a relative who is a murderer. As the investigations continue and more bodies appear, a common factor emerges. While it is a fast paced read, I did find the graphic details disturbing.
The second book in the series - I did not read the first, but enough information is given about what happened in the first book.

Wow Jenna Kernan knows how to write a thriller! From page one on she has you gripped. This horrific killer has done his best work to draw the attention of Dr. Nadine Finch profiler and daughter of a serial killer. Dr. Finch and her team of specialists who just happen to be offspring of killers themselves arrive to hunt down this taunting killer. And that is exactly what the killer wants. Excellently written and definitely keeps you reading - with the light on for sure. This killer seems to be able to get in anywhere! Thank you NetGalley, bookouture and Jenna Kernan for allowing me to read this eARC this is my honest opinion. I also recommend her first book of Dr. Finch, The killer’s Daughter.

Thank you to NetGalley, Jenna Kernan, and the publisher for providing me with a digital copy of "The Hunted Girls" agent Nadine Finch book 2, prior to publication in exchange for my honest review.
I didn't read book 1 of this series, there was enough background throughout not to feel lost.
An unlikely team of FBI agents, a homicide detective, & medical examiner,(improbably most of whom are related to murderers), try to catch a sadistic serial killer before he strikes again. Advance warning to readers, very graphic victim descriptions.
There is a hearty dose of family drama & a sprinkling of romance between agent Finch & detective Damko.
Dr. Finch is a profiler, however; I figured out one of the clues long before she did. The author did a good job leaving clues if you pay attention.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Florida, "not on the beach", setting. Quite fast paced & action packed. The ending leaves perfect setup for the next in series, which I would read.

5 Stars!
I could NOT put this book down! WOW! WOW! WOW!
The writing was fantastic, fast paced, and riveting. Lots of twists and turns. It is very fast pasted thriller about a detective and her hunt for a serial killer. I do wish I would have read the first book. This book is the second book in the series. You CAN read this book without reading the first book. This was the first Jenna Kernan book I have read and definitely won’t be the last.

Profiler Nadine Finch, daughter of serial killer Arleen Howler is called on to investigate a serial killer who is leaving women in the central Florida woods to be tortured and eventually succumb to their injuries. Nadine brings her crew from her last adventure, boyfriend and detective Clint, medical examiner Juliette and assistant Tina to assist the FBI.

I am really glad a stumbled upon this series. Both books have been excellent. They have held my attention throughout and I have been satisfied with the endings. There was quite a bit of suspense near the end of this novel. I am invested in this cast of characters and I look forward to their next investigation.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the second book in the Agent Nadine Finch series, and it's just as great as the first.   You don't have to have read the first book, but it does provide an extra depth to your understanding of Nadine's backstory.  Nadine is a complex character, both incredibly smart and intuitive about those around her, but blindered in her ability to understand herself.  Watching her grow into a person who is both professionally and personally confident was great to watch.  I also loved watching Nadine, Demko, Nicolette & Tina work together as a found family.

The mystery of this book was compelling!  Women are going missing in the Ocala National Forest which is the same area where Nadine's serial killer mom disposed of he bodies.  When Nadine and her team head there to investigate, the killer begins targeting women close to Nadine because there is something he need Nadine to know.
