Eye-catching front cover and excellently illustrated book about a wolf who keeps being late and disrupting the other fairytales. I read this with by 5 and 7 year olds. My 5 year old was a bit perplexed by the story; I guess as it didn't follow the narrative she's used to! My 7 year old who loves drawing, was very inspired by the illustrations and this was the highlight for her. It didn't blow us away but it's fun story to read with young children.

A sweet story where the big bad wolf is running late, so Little red and the three little pigs get cross about not being able to tell their stories.
This was a fun story, especially for younger children who are familiar with the traditional tales. I would certainly share this with children in school.

An interesting, funny take on the fairy tales containing the big bad wolf - it turns out that the big bad wolf has a problem with punctuality and when everyone gets cross with him for being late decides to give up huffing and puffing and scaring. Soon the three little pigs and little red riding hood realise that they really do need the big bad wolf in their lives. A funny tale with lots of fab illustrations!

My daughter has just laughed so much as I read her this story. She said she gives it five stars and is currently reading it again for the third time!
This is the story of Mr Wolf who is finding it very hard to be 'so bad!' All the huffing and puffing is wearing him out and he's finding it too much work to be in more than one story. Mr Wolf goes fishing instead but the other characters realise they can't manage without him and have to persuade him to come back.
This is such a funny story and would be a brilliant addition to an Early Years classroom. I would definitely use this book in school as part of a traditional tales topic. It's great to see all the familiar characters but with a twist on the original stories. The illustrations are great and also very funny. A brilliant picture book. I will be purchasing this when it comes out in July. Thank you to NetGalley and Bloomsbury Publishing for this eARC.
