I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

A nice romance in the typical manner for this trope.
The setting of course, is gorgeous. The Italian lakes are lovely and very picturesque and romantic. And thus fake engagements are easily turned into real .
Nicely written and easy to read.

A fun and charming take on the classic fake-relationship trope. A very enjoyable read with lovable characters and a cute four-legged friend

A lovely romantic story where the couple's slow-burn attraction deepens into an emotional commitment. The fake engagement trope is well-written with plenty of internal conflicts. The family interference which affects the couple is believable and adds additional external conflicts for their happy ever after.

Gianna and Dario are easy to like you empathise with their problems, which are convincingly written. Tito, the dog, is an engaging character who initiates their first encounter and proves to be a redoubtable matchmaker.

This is a gentle romantic story full of emotion and humour.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this novel set around Lake Como’s shores. . A fake engagement to get her sister of her back and he just wants space from his family to finish the book he’s writing. A fake engagement sounds as if it will work for them both. But will it? A fun book!

This is a lovely, relaxing read set in the landscape where I would like to have been reading it! Gianna and Dario are likeable characters and the plot may be simplistic but it is so charmingly written that it was easy to just relax and enjoy the story as it played out alongside Lake Como. A perfect book for reading in time for Summer.

A book that looks at the importance of dreams
Dario and Gianna are both running from their pasts but when they accidentally end up living together it makes them question their long held beliefs
Gianna is a fabulous character, she is a camerawomen and a photographer but also a perfectionist in what she does which allows her work to connect to people. She isn’t interested in lots of money or fame but instead would rather get out in nature and take photos which is her true passion. She is the kind of character who I would love to meet!
Dario is a rich businessman but his passion is writing and he has already written an international best seller but he is stuck on how to make his next book right so the publishers will accept it. I suspect that many of the emotions Dario goes through in terms of his writing would ring true to many authors and this did help him to feel more human for me. He has insecurities and is anxious about his writing, especially as his family wouldn’t approve but seeing him become more confident about what he wants made him a character who I could relate more strongly to and made me love him more and more
Both Gianna and Dario develop and change so much throughout the book but this was needed for them as they realised that some of their priorities may not be the same as they used to be. They needed the support and encouragement from each other to become the characters I knew they could be and that is something which drew me into their world and had me so invested in the outcome of their story
I became so totally addicted to their world and their story that I read this book in one sitting and it’s a book that I would definitely recommend to those who enjoy a romance that looks at the characters hopes and dreams whilst also challenges them, and all in an amazing setting

Gianna has had enough of all men, dumped again she decides to return home to lick her wounds but first she must avoid her cousin who she doesn't want to admit another failed relationship to.
When Gianna returns home she feels at peace and that this is where she truly belongs, but before she can truly relax she is confronted by Dario - the stranger she had rented her house out to whilst she was away. Dario has another month left on his agreement so they must work together to both get what they want.

I really enjoyed the friendship building between Gianna and Dario and even though I knew where the story was going when they were thrown into a fake engagement I still liked reading about their journey. This is a lovely story of two people not only discovering each other but also discovering themselves.

I would like to thank Netgalley, Mills and Boon and Jennifer Faye for an e arc of this book.
We meet Gianna and very accomplished photographer, who travels the world making documentaries. She has just split up with her fiancé and comes back to her home on Lake Como for a rest and to regather.
Whilst she was away, she let her house out and due to a misunderstanding, the agency has re let the house to Dario. Things are further complicated when Dario is taken as her fiancé.
This was a lovely read, with good characters and fun plot. It made me smile and want to visit Italy again.

3 - "As long as we're together..." Stars.

An enjoyable easy-going, what I would term 'beige' read. I love a fake-engagement story, and although there was nothing to dislike about Gianna and Dario or their story, the most colourful character in the book was his dog; Tito.

No struggle to read, it was the perfect palate-cleanser, while I decided what I wanted to sink my teeth into next, and I would happily read more from the author in the future.

This was a very pleasant, entertaining read. It has nice characters, a dog and a good plot. I enjoyed it. It didn't overexcite me - but it was well written and interesting. The fake engagement trope was well executed. 3 stars.

Absolutely loved this story a book I could not put down.
Good strong characters, both very liveable and a lovely dog in the mix.
If you want a nice easy read that leaves you swooning, then this is the book for you

You have to love a romance where a dog plays a staring role! Lovely gentle romance against the back drop of beautiful Italy - the food, the spices and the nature. A fake engagement to cover embarrassment from one side and to get a bit of peace from the other. A meeting of minds and kindness allowing love to blossom and be recognised in each. The inevitable happy ending is beautifully done and there are enough teases to make you want to read on and see what happens to the supporting cast.
