Honor, Quinn, Syd, Emmett, and the rest of the PMC crew are back in this latest Radclyffe novel. Zoey has always been on to make others happy, never stopping to worry about herself and what she wants. That is until Dr. Declan Black returns to PMC after an accident has pushed her to re-think and change her career. On her first day back she works closely with Zoey. Both Zoey and Declan are carrying emotional baggage that isn't immediately clear to the reader but draws you in and will have you flipping pages until the end. For a short book, this packs quite a punch!

4.25 stars. I always enjoy books by Radclyffe and I was happy to see a new release in the PMC series and just had to move this to the top of my arc list. Radclyffe’s excellent medical knowledge makes medical romances shine and this is again a winner. I love all the jargon that was thrown my way and while I do not understand the exact meaning of everything I think it adds authenticity to a medical novel. Then there is the high pace, high adrenaline opening of the book, starting with a huge multiple car accident that’s flooding the ER with patients and you know you’re hooked.

This is the fifth installment in the series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. In fact, I haven’t read all books in the series myself yet and had no problems. However, I think you will enjoy this best if you have read the first book in the series “Fated Love” as the main couple, Honor and Quinn, has a quite prominent role in this book as well, the couples from the other books not so much but they do make an appearance.

The mains in this book are Declan and Zoey, and in true Radclyffe style Declan is tall, dark and handsome and has brooding down to perfection. She’s a new ER attending transferring from Dallas, but clearly familiar with the PMC and with Honor, so what’s her story? Zoey is a senior resident at the PMC and has a carefree player status that she carefully tries to maintain. However, after just losing the benefits part of her friend with benefits she is secretly longing for something more, she’s getting tired of pretending.

Immediately you know there is more to the two mains, but their backstories are kept a secret for a while, which is something I like, this slow discovery. The attraction and chemistry between Declan and Zoey is immediate and the first moves are also pretty fast as this is not the longest book. I enjoyed the romance, but they understand and read each other almost naturally from the start and for two people that are used to wearing masks I think it would take a bit more time to get to know each other that well and develop these skills, so I wouldn’t have minded some extra time for them to get to know each other. That said, their emotions are raw, their stories heartbreaking and all you want is to see them together.

In short, a book full of medical action, we get to see some of our beloved characters from previous books and there is a passionate and emotional romance. Recommend!

We first meet senior resident Dr.Zoey and Dr. Dec when there a rush of patients from car pile up comes into PMC hospital and they both leapt into actions. Dr. Dec use to train at the hospital which mold her into neurosurgeon and have comeback after a tragic loss.

As they worked together their obvious attraction between them that leapt off the pages and romance is form. I enjoy both characters they both are devoted to their jobs and you can feel the emotions they both have. I also love that it was a reunion of characters from previous books that you got a glimpses into their lives. I would love to read more about theses characters I didn’t know I miss so much.

Radclyffe is back and better than ever! I was excited to see another installment in one of my favorite series ever.

Unrivaled takes us back to PMC where senior resident Dr. Zoey Cohen meets Dr. Declan Black on Dec’s first day back at the hospital where she trained years ago, the hospital that moulded her into a superstar neurosurgeon. Following a personal tragedy, Dec is not there as a neurosurgeon but as an ER doc instead. The attraction and connection between Zoey and Dec are instant and I found myself rooting for this couple only a few minutes in. After what happened to Zoey in the previous PMC book (no spoilers) I really wanted her to be adored, appreciated and be somebody’s number one. It’s wonderful to see some of our old friends from other PMC novels return. Honor and Quinn are still two of my favorite fictional characters ever.

The book is well-paced, and the characters are well-formed and relatable. It did (for a change) not bother me that the characters got together relatively fast because, by the time they did, they have shared so many deep, intense and emotional moments already. The medical scenes are often fast-paced and feel realistic. I really appreciated some of the more emotional medical processes depicted in this book. So many books that form part of a series can become formulaic and unoriginal but, in this book, Radclyffe managed to make the story fresh and intriguing. I hope to see many more PMC romances in the future. That hospital really is choc-full of gorgeous lesbians that need to have happy endings! Not that any of us are complaining!

This reads like a exciting episode of the tv show ER. The first ten chapters (39%) literally covers the first day at the busy hospital. Declan Black is returning to the hospital where she did her residency. She is the new ER attending physician. As she arrives the ER is slammed with patients from an eight car pile up. Zoey Cohen is a fourth year resident. Together they work to triage patients and see to their care. Zoey has an emotional subplot dealing with preparing a family for loss and suggesting organ donation.

Radclyffe has a medical background and lets you see how the hospital departments and teams work in a believable way. I like both Dec and Zoey but the attraction feels too instant. The first kiss is after knowing each other three days. They both can see each other’s emotions in their eyes a bit too much. Both MC’s have some darkness in their past that makes them not want to trust others to see who they are inside. For an action medical drama I rate it a 5, for a romance a 3, averaging to 4 stars.

This is part of the PMC Hospital romance series, but I read easily as a stand alone. Thank you NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books, Inc for an ARC ebook in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoy medical drama storylines that actually deal with realistic cases, especially with Radclyffe as its author. They are always very interesting and engaging.

Declan Black was a young resident on track to become a star neuro microsurgeon. But then she suddenly left PMC to take a position at one of the many hospitals in Dallas controlled by her wife’s billionaire father. Now ten years later she was back at PMC, but as an attending ER doctor. Zoey was a 4th year senior surgery resident. Both worked well together during their initial meeting by helping victims of a multi vehicle accident. One such victim with a severe head injury was a resident at their hospital.

Zoey, as a result of her past, always pretended that nothing ever bothered or hurt her. But she discovered that being with Declan, she didn’t have to or want to pretend anymore. Declan also felt the same way; she was more willing to share a part of her herself that others knew nothing about, especially regarding her wife. Their attraction to each other was immediate. For their own protection, they tried to fight it, until they couldn’t.

Declan and Zoey were very likable characters with their caring heart and supportive ways. This was especially evident every time they met with the parents of the young resident on life support. Those scenes were emotional and heartbreaking but so realistic. I liked how this case, filled with raw emotional moments, was the catalyst that unraveled the characters’ hurtful past and allowed the women to expose those wounds to each other in tender and loving ways. Those were my favorite scenes and were beautifully written and executed.

I enjoyed the many interesting and detailed cases the staff dealt with in trying to save lives or making sure a young child’s laceration was not the result of any type of abuse. The many secondary characters, some from previous PMS books such as Honor, Quinn, Arley, Emmett, and Syd, added to the realism of the setting.

There are only a select few authors that I will read any book they write because they never seem to disappoint their readers. Radclyffe is one of them, and once again, she did not disappoint.

An ARC was given for an honest review.

Radclyffe is a great writer. Unrivaled is a continuation of the series with Honor and Quinn with two additional main characters. Declan and Zoey, both physicians at the hospitals. Declan has a deceased wife and it's not until the end of the series it is reveled what really occurred on that fateful night. The book catches up with Honor and Quinn and it's nice to feel the sweet connection those two continue to share. While I enjoyed Declan and Zoey, I found I was drawn to Quinn and Honor, and there are a lot of those sweet moments between Honor & Quinn in this book. I miss the original characters of the first couple of books in this series, including the anesthesiologist, Tristian, and the helicopter pilot, Jett. Unrivaled is a great book and I highly recommend as a read!

This is another great book by Radclyffe. I have loved every one of the PMC Hospital Romance books ever since Fated Love was released. It is so awesome to read about the couples over the course of several years through these books. That so rarely happens. The new character leads in this book are both engaging and sympathetic, especially Declan. The arc of Tony and his family was devastating and moving. I teared up throughout. It's so well written it causes one to contemplate their own responses to such a situation. I'm mad at Linda because who would do that again knowing what happened last time!!! I will be happy to buy this one and add it to my PMC and larger Radclyffe collection. I absolutely recommend. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I read it in less than a day and felt like I had gone to a world where Grey’s Anatomy had turned gay and it was fantastic. I loved Zoey and Declan and the way they circled around each other, trying to understand each other before finally giving in. If anything I wanted more of them!

This book opens as Dr Declan Black is getting to the hospital that she used to work at for many years for her first day back working there. She arrived in the middle of numerous ambulances arriving from a massive car accident. She immediately starts to work. As she obviously knows what she is doing, the other employees follow her instructions even though they don’t know who she is. Zoey one of the residents spends a large part of the day working beside Dr. Black. She is impressed with her medical performance snd also feels a spark of attraction to her. Zoey has been in a friends with benefits relationship with another resident but now that resident has gotten in a committed relationship with someone else. She keeps secrets about her background from everyone and doesn’t let anyone get close to her. Declan had been married to a woman that was killed in a car accident 2 years ago. She also has scars from that accident including loss of vision which prevents her from doing Neurological surgery. She has gotten the training to switch her specialty to Emergency Medicine. Declan also has secrets that she has told to no one. Declan and Zoey have an immediate connection and have a romantic encounter. The author does a great job of describing the activity in the hospital as well as relationships between the employees. I recommend this book.

This books takes us back to Philadelphia Medical Center with Honor Blake and Quinn Maguire and the gang. New attending Dr Declan Black walks right into a mass casualty incident on her first morning. Everyone is wondering about this new doctor and her calm under storm exterior but there's turmoil under that she is working through.
You'll enjoy the growing romance with Dr Black and Zoey Cohen as they learn about each other as well as the continuing medical cases they work.

I definitely recommend this book and look forward to more from Radclyffe.

Radclyffe brings us back to PMC in Unrivaled. Senior resident Zoey Cohen keeps her personal life fun and carefree. Declan Black is trying to restart after a personal tragedy.

Another home run from Radclyffe. I’ve been reading her stories for over twenty years and she never disappoints. Zoey and Declan are very well fleshed out. You get sucked in by the rich emotions and detailed settings. Many of your favorite characters from previous OMC books also make appearances. There is a great sense of community and coming home that Radclyffe excels at.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the Publisher via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I love medical novels. I love Radclyffe’s novels. Therefore I loved this novel.

I know that some of the medical jargon she uses may be difficult to understand. What do you want me to tell you, that I’m not English-speaking, so I find it even weirder. But that doesn’t make it any less interesting

In this story there are two strong women, focused and dedicated in body and soul to medicine. Dec is a doctor who returns to the hospital where she did the residency and from which she left a little suddenly.

Zoey is a fourth-year resident doctor, who is still deciding which specialty fills her the most.

Dec's return coincides with a multiple accident and from the first moment Dec and Zoey are in direct contact because of the cases they have to attend to.

It is also usual that in the books of this author everything happens very quickly and in a very short time, between them they know each other and the first kiss that already awakens in them a strong feeling not only physical, 24 hours pass perhaps?

But that is irrelevant, if the description of the scenes and encounters is really emotional and detailed, who cares if they have only known each other for two days. To me, certainly not.

Something random but curious, I don't know if it happened in other books but in this one it has become very evident to me, how unhealthy these doctors eat! Pop tart, Peanut butter sandwich, Captain Crunch, Popcorn, Pizza, Spaghettios… breakfast, lunch and dinner

Well-written romance novel. Return to the PMC world. Can be stand-alone but side characters all have focus in other books. Any time I see a new PMC novel by Radclyffe come up, I have to snatch it up. The original - Fated Love - is an all-time favorite of mine, and I adore any check-in on Honor and Quinn (even if I have to put up with others being the main characters).

This book was good. I'd say a traditional Rad medico romance. A whirlwind romance between the new ER attending and a senior resident - no direct oversight or conflict of interest, not boss/employee. Both have events in their past making them reluctant to accept anything more than a fling, but feelings don't always comply with our wishes.

Radclyffe never disappoints. One of her PMC hospital books. Always manages a past traumatic event. be it old lovers reunited or new (soon to be) lovers with a past. Makes it interesting. I like how Honor and Quinn are included in the stories. It's good to follow how they are doing. Would like a bit more included about some of the previous MCs in this series as well. Hollis and Annie were briefly mentioned in this one and Emmett and Syd (but they were roommates of Zoey and Dani) but haven't heard any more about Jett and Tristan. But this did not detract from the story in any way. Still enjoyed it.
