Twins, Sam and Luke discover a tunnel in the city park while on holiday. This takes them back to the wild west. Each time they go back they learn more about the past, including bank robberies and stage coach robberies. The boys manage to help to combat the outlaws and make friends along the way.
This book will appeal to those interested in adventure in the wild west. Easy to read with plenty of action.

Wow... This was quite the ride.

City Park follows two boys who have a wild and terrifying adventure over the course of many days. This book is full of suspense, craziness, and banter.

I have some mixed feelings in this book. I thought it was a fun and quick read, but it definitely read as more of a young middle-grade novel than YA. This wasn’t a bad thing, it just was a surprise that I wasn’t expecting. The characters were cute and had their own distinct personalities, and the whole mysterious adventure/journey will be entertaining to young readers. Even though I couldn’t connect with this very well, I do think it’s a perfect read for grades 4-6!
