A solid exploration of astrology and the meaning in various celestial bodies and events. While I didn't feel this provided much in the way of new or different information than what's available elsewhere, it did provide that information in an accessible and interesting way. This would be a fantastic addition to any astrology beginner's bookshelf.

A very basic read that added nothing new to my knowledge on astrology. I had higher expectations for it!

This book made for a really interesting read. I have always had an interest in astrology but I have never looked into it properly. I also tend to shy away from non-fiction books, but curiosity definitely got the better of me with this one.
This book helped me, as a beginner to understand the fundamentals.
Was it accurate? Time will tell.
Has is piqued my interest and curiosity even further? Yes it definitely has.

An interesting take on Astrology and the lessons and guidance that can be taken away from it. Not exactly groundbreaking for me, because I was aware of a lot of the information but that's just my Capricorn Sun and Rising speaking. Despite that, the contents are presented wonderfully and was definitely an enjoyable read.

This is like any other basic into to Astrology book in your collection. This book is good for those who are begining in their astrological journey but its not a book that just screams pick me. The information is vauge at best and you will have to consult other books.

Really useful guide to Astrology, different star signs, their traits, compatibilities and so on. I thought the author had taken a lot of care to prepare the texts and the illustrations to ensure it was really clear. This is definitely a book I would get for friends of mine who love astrology, younger family members who are looking to get into astrology or any aunts who read the weekly horoscope religiously.

This was an interesting book.. It's great for a beginner or anyone with a passing interest. My PDF had several pages turned, and one upside down. I wasn't a fan of how much flipping around needs to be done to read everything about a Sign. I did like that this book also look at the childhood stage for the Signs. The Star Facts were also interesting..

The Astrology Directory is a great starting book for someone who is just getting into astrology and learn more about the signs and their compatibility and how they are in different situations. Because this book has a description for each sign with both genders as well as how children can be like. And in addition it describes each sign and their type of holidays, foods, home-life etc.

For someone who is a little above this level and deals more in birth-charts and such, it came a little short for me. I would have loved more on birth charts and what they mean, as well as some more information about the planets and their significance!

All in all a nice book on astrology!

So lovely, a nice compact guide on the signs, the houses and how our astrological profiles can influence our lives and own personalities.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. This book talked about the different zodiac signs and what personality traits we may have. It was insightful and gave both the good and bad about each sign.

Great astrology guide! Not a ton of new information but I think it’s great for folks with an interest in learning more about the signs, their kids, coworkers etc. It is easy to read and beautifully compiled. Thank you for the advance copy!

This is a really basic intro to astrology; one of the parts I like most was the introduction which was very well-explained. I found the book lacking in organisation; it had one chapter for each of the sun signs initially but in the second half of the book, a different grouping system was adopted which had chapters divided into home/career/lifestyle, etc with all sun signs described in the chapter. For people who are only interested in their own sun sign, it will be annoying to have to navigate between chapters instead of getting all the info from one chapter devoted to their sun sign,

This astrology book is a great resource for a beginner that just wants to explore their interest in star signs. If you're interested in a comprehensive approach to a natal chart, this is not the resource for you. I do appreciate how concise the book is.

Yet another book for the starseeds. I love that this book walks you through your sign and life. There is also a section for each sign in the zodiac, so even newbies can join in on the fun. I found all of the information I read to be accurate and informative. If you enjoy astrology, you'll enjoy this!

Full of tons of stock photos that are obviously stock photos. They're extremely distracting and do not make for an attractive presentation. On top of that the book enforces the outdated gender binary and includes sexist phrasing ("Ms. Aries"? really?). The book alternates between condescending and derivative of vintage astrology books. I wasn't a fan, obviously.

It could be greatly improved by removing the stock photos and replacing them with original illustrations and getting rid of the female/male binary enforcing sections.

As it is now, it barely deserves one star.

I have real mixed feelings about this book. At first, I felt it looked really cheap and nasty based on the stock images and the boring, unoriginal text on the star signs. However, I did like how it looked closely at things such as holidays, money, relationships etc - this did feel original.
However, the layout just felt cheap. It looked more like a brochure or magazine than a book I would pay decent money for.

The content in the main part wasn't anything new, but i did like how in depth in got with other parts of the signs - I am two mind whether I liked this or not.

It contains very basic facts and information about astrology, the natal chart, the signs, etc.; making it very accessible to beginners. However, it really is pretty basic and added nothing new to astrologers who are at the intermediate or advanced level of practice already. The descriptions of the signs also felt too superficial for my liking, I wished the author dive deeper and explore the manifestations of other parts of the natal chart like the houses, the other planets, and the rising sign.

I received an advanced copy of, The Astrology Directory, by Jane Struthers. This is a very good book on the history of the star signs. It tells you about the 12 star signs, vital statics, the star child, how to spot the sign/ famous celebrities with each particular sign, and much more.
