The Guesthouse at Lobster Bay was a shortish but gripping read,
After witnessing a terror attack Emma gives up everything and buys the guesthouse sight unseen. When she arrives she finds there's far more than she bargained for. Will she manage? What other surprises might there be?
I loved this book, it made me laugh out loud plenty of times, and cry my eyes out at others. The characters are all well-written and believable and the pace was fast in all the right places.
Definitely a book I would recommend.

I received an advance copy of, The Guesthouse at Lobster Bay, by Annie Robertson. This is a cool summer read. I really liked Emma, and her new start in life.

I love books like this! Emma buys a ramshackle guesthouse, almost on a whim and when she arrives she finds so much more work than she ever imagined. But she finds so much more of everything else too! An aged dog. A handsome boatbuilder. A community. This book is just delightful! A perfect feel good read

Emma dreams of turning the guesthouse at Lobster Bay into a posh gathering place, but she soon discovers she may have bitten off more than she can chew. There’s more work involved than Emma ever imagined, and with only a month to get the place into shape, she’s beginning to panic. Throw in an elderly, very large dog, a handsome and capable boat builder and Emma is either going to have the best summer of her life or she’s going to lose all her marbles
