I wasn't too sure when I started reading this book as to whether I would enjoy it , but I really did. What a strange gift to leave anyone but Lucia was the right recipient and used the gift to heal and help everyone. young and old. Great descriptions leave you laughing so much at times, especially the camp sites

I really wanted to enjoy this book after having read 59 Memory Lane, but I struggled with the whole compass element, the campervan adventure was fun and believable with a host of great characters, but the romance ……..yuk
Not quite what I wanted in a book, but hopefully others will enjoy it.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this book.

Lucia and the cast of characters are lovely and this novels is a mix of comedy, mystery and moving moments.

The Secret Gift Of Lucia Lemon, by Celia Anderson

Lucia Lemon is stuck in a rut. When she recieves a lump sum and a mystery item from a distant relative of her husband, she decides it’s time for change.
Along with an eclectic gang of characters and a campervan, Lucia sets off on the adventure of a lifetime.
There are secrets, mysteries, second chances, romance and friendships. This book is jam packed.
I loved the inclusion of autism, which was written with empathy, knowledge and fitted into the story beautifully.

This is a special story, quite unique, funny, emotional and touching.
A wonderful read that deserves five stars.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

Absolutely Loved It.

I’ve read the previous two books by Celia Anderson and was so looking forward to reading this book, which was just as good as her previous books.

Lucia lemon and her husband Des, and their son Isaac are gifted by Tommy a substantial amount of money along with some photo’s and maps and a compass. The letter that comes with these explains why he’s done this. But her husband doesn’t seem keen to go along with her plans.
She and her lodger Polly buy a camper van which doesn’t go down well with Des, who after an argument, the next day writes her a letter and leaves home.
She along with her son Isaac and their lodger Polly, her son Reggie, friend Peter and Tommy plan a trip of places that they want to see and places where Peter and Tommy have visited in the past.
The story takes you on a funny but touching journey, during which their friendship grows and together overcome the feelings that they’ve kept inside them, each having faced difficult circumstances, gain confidence and find that sometimes the answer you’re looking for, is right finding under your nose.

The way autism was covered throughout the story was very beautifully done.

Highly Recommend This Book

What a delight to enjoy another novel from Celia Anderson. With Lucia Lemon she takes us on a rainbow-adorned campervan adventure with a motley crew in tow. It was so nice to see new friendships forming as Lucia and Co. come to terms with their pasts and reshape their futures, all with the help of a compass. 5 lemon-yellow stars for this beauty!

It was really nicely written in quite an old fashioned style. A joy to read. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me to read a preview copy of this book I would totally recommend it if you fancy an escape from the every day sadness for a few hours.
