Absolutely loved this read!! I had no idea what I was getting myself into and it had me experience all kinds of emotions! The second half of the book I read a lot quicker due to the events that happen.
I will definitely recommend this to everyone!

This book will make an excellent movie!! Eight people accept the challenge to live on a remote island for the next year with no contact with the outside world. At the end of the year........
the story begins with a woman making her way to a village where she tells a fantastic story of being on an island for the last 18 months with seven other people. The story is almost beyond belief. This is a WOW book. You'll not be able to take a break once the story starts. Plan your binge now!

A superbly suspenseful thriller. A group of 12 strangers are stranded together on an island for a year. The trouble begins when the year rolls around and no one arrives to collect them. The tension ramps up quickly and the numbers dramatically decrease. A simply thrilling read. #stranded #sarahgoodwin #netgalley

A thrilling suspenseful read. It starts off slowly and then the tension builds up. It is full of action and is a complete page turner. A great book

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Thank you for the ARC of this title. Incredibly suspenseful, love the 'locked room' claustrophobic feeling and could not put it down. Excellently read that kept me guessing.

The first few chapter was interesting, getting them character to a remote island for a tv show , up until to the chapter when the main character was left in there and half of the story mainly focus on her . It gotten boring , I thought there is a twisted/ bang story at the end but no.
Still flat writing and not liking the wordings just to make it more longer .

I love the show Survivor and I really wanted to love this book. I loved the active parts of it, but I felt like the daily living and thoughts of the main character got repetitive. Overall a good read but not my favorite. I received a free copy of this book from netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

This was a really interesting take on the 'stranded on an island' story.
I've got a feeling if you enjoyed Castaways or even Lord Of The Flies, you'll want to pick this book up. It also gives serious Survivor vibes.
It being a Scottish island, instead of a more tropical one, was a nice twist on the idea too.
This had me on the edge of my seat and wondering what could possibly happen next. It's a serious page turner.
I also liked the way that the current day interviews were woven within too.
The ending didn't exactly feel the most realistic but overall, I definitely liked this book and will definitely be looking out for more books from Sarah Goodwin in the future.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Gripping, edge of your seat story in this Survivor meets Lord of the Flies thriller! Maddy, along with 3 other women and 4 men are dropped at a remote island off the coast of Scotland to spend one year living off the land while being filmed for a reality show. The premise of the show is that the world has ended and this group of survivors need to build a new future using their limited resources and their individual skill sets. They were looking for adventure. They hoped to meet the challenge. They knew it wasn’t real. What could possibly go wrong? Thank you Netgalley, Avon Books UK, and the author for this eARC in exchange for my honest review. Available now

After spending years working on cruise ships, visiting many remote islands, this book was enticing.
The premise of living alone on a remote island is so intriguing. .However, all is not idyllic. Reality TV survival shows are very popular, and this book will fit right in.

Do you enjoy survival shows? Survivor, Naked & Afraid, Alone. What if on extraction day, no one showed up? What then?

I really, really enjoyed this book. I felt the start was slow and to be quite honest, I didn't like any of these people. But then the tension picked up and I could not put this one down. Excellent read!

I received an ARC on NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

This book had me turning the pages so fast and I flew through it! A very well plotted thriller with unexpected twists and turns throughout

This was a superb, fast-paced, exciting and well written thriller of a book. Whilst it had hints of Lord of the Flies, Castaways and other island-based stories, it was utterly unique. I loved the mix of characters, the bushcraft/survival aspects and the clever plot twists. Really good.

I loved the idea of this book, I have never read anything like this before. Such a good idea of a book! I don't normally enjoy books about being stranded on an island but i really enjoyed this.

A great plot, so many twists and turns and it had a very Lord of the Flies feel as the story progressed. Really enjoyed it.

Wow, well that was more addictive and compelling than I was perhaps expecting

It got under my skin early one and I read it in two sittings, barely pausing for breathe,

It's claustrophobic in places, utterly terrifying in others, and it's amazing how fast a group fo people can turn on each other and make someone fear for their life.

This is arguably when a reality TV show goes very wrong, and when civilised people collapse into mob rule, the world becomes a very scary place.

At least it is when on a remote Scottish Island trying to survive on the land for a year with 7 strangers,

I know I can't do this book justice, but I urge you to give it a go if the blurb has remotely caught your eye. You won't regret it.

Thank you to Avon and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
