This book was so gorgeous, to look at and to help, I’m definitely purchasing a physical copy to complete, I have been going through CBT so this really tied in with everything I’m trying to learn, it’s such a help, it has includes journal therapy help - triggers and things you are working on , goals now and after therapy. My favourite is about self-love and I found this helped me the most. If you are going through therapy or have been through it before I really recommend this, if you are thinking about it then this will help and give an insight into what you may get from it.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

A really lovely journal for self-care. Would recommend for those who perhaps don't like self-help books but instead want something more practical.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I got this book because I wanted to find more ways to put myself first and take care of my mental health. I have been used to putting myself last and taking care of everyone else. Now that I have started saying no and doing things for myself I have noticed that this makes people angry because they are used to getting what they want from me and now that I am doing more for myself. They seem to think I am doing this to hurt them or take something from them and that is not the case. I am doing this to improve myself for a better me. I like the way this is a guided journal with activities to better me. I am going to keep going back to this when I need a reminder not to fall back into old habits that hurt me before.

I enjoyed that this was not the average self help book but more of a guided journal approach with tips and suggestions/prompts. It was very beautifully laid out and easy to follow with some great advice.

This is a great guided journal. Not many people take time for self care and this journal is great for those who have little time.

This book was received as an ARC from Quarto Publishing Group – Chartwell Books in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I loved every page of this journal. I have been researching on the most effective self-help books and journals that exist and they all say the same thing. However, none of them really focused on self-care. Self-care is something we all take for granted because we are so used to caring for others rather than taking care of ourselves. I also appreciate the fact that there are more pages for reflections and notes since some of the guided journals do not provide enough of that especially if you are a person like me who has a lot on their mind and plate. I also love the color schemes and layouts chosen so far for the book to make it easy to follow and presentable.

We will consider adding this title to our Non-Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

Get a few pages of each type of worksheet, some really neat pages (can easily be photocopied for personal use or written in a journal). Get some explanation of the excercise.

What a beautiful guided journal. It’s a nice way to take time for yourself and to focus on you and that is truly self care.

Would highly recommend this self care journal for people who are either going to therapy or went through a sort of therapeutic process already. As a psychologist I can see that most pages and journal entries are based on well known scientifically proven methods for people who are going through something. The reason I wouldn't recommend this journal for people who are just looking for a fun journal is because this specific journal is, in my opinion, not meant for that target audience. To further explain this I will give an example; it contains pages specifically for journal therapy (before, triggers and things you are working on and after therapy). Because of these pages I feel like people who are going to therapy or went already will benefit the most from this journal. It's a great way to reflect on therapy and contains several grounding and thinking exercises. I do, however, believe anyone can benefit from filling in some of these pages because they are for a wider range of people and a wider range of challenges people face during their lifetime. It goes into detail about setting boundaries and reaching your goals. The most remarkable section for me was the section about self-love and everything that comes with it.

The last thing I feel like is definitely worth mentioning is how beautiful and peaceful this journal is to look at. You can en will want to look at it all day long!
Thank you to NetGalley and Chartwell Books for this ARC which I read in exchange for an honest review.

Did I have high hopes for this one? Yeah, kinda.

Was I disappointed by Self Care? Definitely.

The prompts aren’t really new, there aren’t a lot of different ones.

The bullet journal community and/or journal community offers a bigger variety of prompts to be honest. Throw in the shadow work and witchcraft communities and you’ll have a huge pot to chose journaling prompts from and actually learn about manifesting.

I don’t know if you’re just starting out with journaling it might be a book for you but it still isn’t enough for a beginner in my eyes.

Overall, this is just a wonderful book to have around to remind yourself how important it is to take time for yourself. I am so glad I got the opportunity to read it.

A very much needed self-care journal specially for working moms and the caretakers everywhere!

It's time to realise how much we neglect ourselves in the process of taking care of others. We need to take care of ourselves too. More often we tend to forget this.

And what's better than a self-care journal like this which wouldn't require much effort to work with but which will make us reflect and actually make us work towards a better relaxing lives for ourselves.

The theme of this journal is based on our basic senses (sight, sound, smell, touch and taste) and be more mindful towards them; identify our boundaries (safe and unsafe), define our personal goals, time management, creating a vision for ourselves and celebrate our efforts and successes in the process.

The pages are spacious yet organised with subtle art and writing spaces which look pretty simple and convenient to fill up easily. I really appreciate the details.

Go for this without thinking twice.

Thank you publisher for the advance reading copy.

Just a lovely journal for self care. It’s wonderful for anyone that wants to really take care of themselves and not just in a physical way. This will give you a chance at examine your true thoughts.

I want to start by saying I am not really big into self help books. But the fact that this was a journal caught my attention. I like that not only is there space to write directly into the book there are multiple copies of pages so you can do the exercises more than once. Most of the exercises are ones that I would use, which is saying a lot because I tend to think journaling exercises are cheesy.

This wasn’t what I was expecting it to be if I’m honest, I was expecting more of a non fiction self help book. This was a surprise but it was quite nice. It has various prompts for you to be able to journal your thoughts, dreams, past trauma etc. The prompts are useful if you are new to self help or just need some help getting started. It’s all set out very well and is easy to follow.

At first, I would like to thank Netgalley and Chartwell Books for allowing me to review this book. Keep in mind that my review, however, is my true opinion on this book.

“Self Care - A Journal to Reclaim Your Time to Rest and Rejuvenate”. The title says itself. It is a lovely book about time management, self love and self care.

In the book, there are some different exercises, in which you can learn to love yourself more. There are spaces in the book, where you can write your answers to the asked questions. You are also given examples to help you begin your journey to a more loving self.

You are also given tips on how to manage your time and a template, where you can write your own plan for the day or week. It is simple, but it works pretty well.

You are taught how to replace your negative thoughts with positive thoughts and you are furthermore given an easy way and help to do that.

The design of the book is very cute! The same goes for the templates, which are minimalistic, simple and absolutely gorgeous.

If you are ready to do self care, this is your best guide to do so!

I love the colour of the book it’s a lovely vibrant blue all through the book which is quite relaxing to the eyes.
I like how there are different things to write down in the journal and there a few pages to write down for different days. I will definitely have a go at these tasks and I like how the book explains each task and gives you example to get you started. I find it easy to read and easy to follow.
Thank you NetGalley for letting me read this book.

This book isn't at all what I expected. I really thought it would be more of a self help non fiction book, but the book just has prompts for you to journal. I usually enjoy these style of prompt journals but this book was just all over the place. Was it about self care? Was it about therapy? Was it about manifesting? Just a bit unsure. The prompts were too vast, and the book covered too many different thinks. I think it would have been better to focus solely one one thing/one element of self care.
