What a wonderful book! This books deals with the topic of infertility, adoption and mother and baby homes in Ireland. Although these are difficult topics the book explores them in a sensitive and sympathetic way. A story with heart that I loved!

Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. I enjoyed this book, had nice characters and a nice storyline. Not my normal type of read but this was okay.

Waiting For The Miracle is a fantastic book. I thoroughly enjoyed very page of it.
Anna writes sensitively on the plight of young mothers in Ireland who were subjected to horrendous abuse within religious institutions that should have been there to help them. Running alongside this was another unfolding story of a gathering of women who attended a group (Don't want to give any spoilers).
The 2 stories complimented each other in a way that left the reader looking for more.
A wonderful book with a fantastic storyline written from the heart.
Highly recommended.

Wow, what a book.

I have been a huge fan of Anna McPartlin ever since I read ‘The last days of Rabbit Hayes’. When I saw I had been approved for an advanced copy of this book I stopped my current read so I could start this immediately.

I raced through the book enjoying every page. The book was powerful and raw, I felt a whole range of emotions. I had complete empathy for the characters and what they had been through. My heart hurt by the end.

The author deals with difficult issues including fertility problems and loss but did so sensitively. The darker elements of the book were perfectly balanced with elements of humour, love, friendship and above all hope.

I loved it. I just wish I could give the book more than 5 stars! This is easily my favourite read of the year so far.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Having read and enjoyed this author’s previous books, I was looking forward to this one and it certainly lived up to expectations.

Miracles come in all shapes and sizes. The story follows Caroline, Janet, Hannah and Ronnie, four women who are hoping for their own kind of miracle. And then there is Catherine’s story.

I loved this book. The author tackles the difficult subject matter of infertility with warmth and sensitivity. This was an excellent read which I recommend.

Having read two other books by McPartlin,I pretty much knew what to expect.

Warmth, humour, relatable characters, and the odd occasion where the eyes become all misty.

This was exactly what I expected, and I'm so glad.
Tackling an incredibly tricky subject, with many reasons why women might he struggling to conceive.

The dual timeline worked so well, and Catherine was the absolute star of the book highlighting Ireland past, in regards to unwed mothers.

This book definitely cements McPartlin onto my auto buy list.
