I enjoyed this book, I liked the characters, the setting and of course, the storyline. This would work well to be adapted to a wonderful Hallmark movie.

Why have I not read this author before?
Sweet story about two women, friendship, dreams and finding your place.
Emma has been mothering all those in her life since her mother's unexpected death - Emma was 8 and just wanted to make everything ok. Including being a mom for her younger sister, born shortly before their mother's death.
Her sister moves to Iceland. Her dad insists he is independent. All that is left is facing her poor work and engagement relationships.
Struggling with her defining her own needs, Emma liberally runs into Tia - a high school acquaintance about to start her life over. Tia wants to buy Honeymoon Station- renovate into a boutique hotel.
Emma jumps in.
Though all in the small town are not pleased with their presence, the women stride forward. As does Emma's self confidence.
Sweet story, easy read with lovely people.

I really liked this book though Tia is the most unlikeable character and no one seems to mind. The ending was ok and i do enjoy Tilly Tenents books

This book has it all - great characters, great setting, the need for change, sweet romance, cute storyline, nice chemistry. It's just what you expect from a good romance. I've read other Tilly Tennant books, and they're always enjoyable. This is definitely one I'd recommend.

This is such a wonderful book. I loved the characters. I loved the plot. It would be a great book to read on vacation or lying by the pool.

Feeling stuck in a boring job and with a dead beat boyfriend, Emma longs to break free and start living a more fulfilling life. An opportunity to move on comes with an old friend who is looking for a partner in a project to turn an old rail station into a small, boutique hotel. Moving to the lovely village of Honeymoon leaves Emma feeling that maybe she has taken on too much.

This is an overall good read and perfect for summer. An easy romantic fiction story filled with twist interns. You will not know half the time where it will end up going. The ending seems a little rushed to me but other than that, it’s a great clean story!

I started reading this a couple of days back and it started off really slow but as we read further, it caught the pace. I'm glad I didn't put it down. It was a heartwarming read about two girls who leave everything behind and work to create something.
This feel good romantic comedy will make your heart swell with happiness.

Emma and Tia are both ready for a change. Emma has dumped her useless fiancé and Tia is fresh from a divorce. Tia asks Emma if she wants to partner in the restoration of an old train station and turn it into a boutique hotel. When they arrive the amount of work needed is much more than they expected. What could go wrong?

Will they both find new lives and loves in Honeymoon?

I really enjoyed this heart warming story and hope to hear more from the village of Honeymoon.

This is a lovely warm-hearted read about Emma who never puts herself first and when she realises quite how bad her relationship with her boyfriend is takes a chance on doing something for herself and investing in a rundown railway station with her old school friend Tia. I really liked how about the first quarter of this book focussed on Emma’s life with her boyfriend and really building up her life and character before moving on to the quiet and friendly location of Honeymoon. The characters there were lovely and I liked how Emma was actually so protective of herself and her feelings. This is a really easy and relaxing read, ideal for chilling in the summer.

Oh what a treat – a new Tilly Tennant book. Tilly is one of my favourite authors and so I felt so excited to read this new book. I did have to temper myself though, and make myself read it slowly, in order to savour every moment, rather than rushing through and then feeling sad because I had finished it so quickly!

To say that I loved this book from start to finish would be an understatement – although I did find Emma’s being used by Dougie a little frustrating! This is a real ‘newfound’ story – a story of newfound friendship and newfound love, all set in a beautiful Dorset village location. The descriptions of the village were such that you really felt as though you were there yourself, and the strong female lead characters were painted such that you felt as though they could be amongst your closest friends. This is a story about two women triumphing over adversity in the most spectacular way.

Emma is torn between being thrilled for her little Sister and sad at losing her to a new job for a year, studying volcanoes in Iceland. She feels as though she needs a new challenge in her life, now that her baby Sister has gone. She’s fed up with being walked all over at work and at home, by her erstwhile fiancé, Dougie.

In Emma,the author has created a very likeable, selfless character. The way that she gets something new in her life, in the form of bringing the Honeymoon Hotel back to life, is inspiring to all women. Her friendship with Tia is a bit of a tease; at first I thought Tia might have been a former school bully – but she actually comes across as an entirely genuine young woman and the way these two women share their hotel dream is delightful. Just add a bit of romance to the plot, in the form of the builder Brothers Blake and Aiden, and you have the perfect story to while away an afternoon.

Since her mom died when she was 8 Emma has always felt that it was her responsibility to look after everyone while neglecting herself. A dead beat boyfriend and a job she hates life isn't good for Emma but after being let down one too many times she decides things have to change. Then a chance meeting with an old school friend sparks a chance too good to miss. A really enjoyable story about renovation, romance and reawakening. Set in a small enticing sounding village a book I would love there to be a sequal to. Totally recommend

What a wonderful read of self discovery, friendship and love. I could identify with Emma straight away. She couldn’t see her own self worth and was unhappy but really didn’t believe she could do any better. I loved that she took that leap of faith, that she had people around her that were supporting her even if she didn’t realise it.
Watching her confidence grow, and her happiness blossom was beautiful. It was obvious from early on that Aiden liked her and she him, but it was nice how he didn’t push her, she got to the conclusion all on her own, she realised her feelings, she told her story and she did it on her terms. Aiden quietly supported her, encouraged her and loved her while creating a solid equal friendship. It was lovely and a little but emotional at times.
An absolutely brilliant read.

This story is less about the romance and more about Emma getting to value herself again and feel needed and valued. It’s a charming read set in the picturesque village - an enjoyable read!

This was a lovely light read, with easy to like characters (even grumpy Sid who wants the girls out of town!) I've never read anything by this author before, but will be sure to find more now!

A sweet story about a neurotic girl named Emma who ended an unhappy relationship and left everything and everyone she knew to travel across the country and convert an abandoned train station into a boutique hotel with an old school friend. There they meet two brothers who work on hotel and the rest you need to read!

The characters were warm and comforting and the writing really transported me to Dorset and the sweet town of Honeymoon, The friendship between Emma and Tia was real and while fractured at times was incredibly sweet and supportive. I absolutely loved the building of Honeymoon Station in the story as it seemed to reflect the building of a relationship between our hero and heroine. Aidan and Emma’s adventures and the “tragic tales” were brilliant!

My only criticisms are really that the majority of the first part of the book until Emma’s decision to go to Honeymoon was really unnecessary to the storyline. It really slowed the book down and was really showcasing a very toxic relationship. We also saw more of the relationship between Tia and Blake than what we did of Emma and Aidan. There also wasn’t as much chemistry/passion shown between them either which is something I really missed. I did not enjoy all the time being skipped towards the end as I really wanted to glimpse more of the Emma and Aidan relationship.

Whilst I didn’t love this book I did love the writing and I can’t wait to read more from Tilly Tennant!

So she packs up and travels hundreds of miles to the Village of Honeymoon in the Dorset Countryside.

She arrives to find that Tia was not quite honest about the condition of the train station. She had planned on living at the station while they get it ready to open in a few months. She discovers that the property is a disaster and that she must find someplace to live while they work on the property. Tia and Emma rent a small cottage in the town. They immediately meet two handsome men that live in the village that have a construction company. These local men are hired to do the work instead of the original company that they hired. A number of mishaps and adventures happen in the village but the girls continue on their mission. This is a fun story with romance to spice things up. I enjoyed this book.
