This book is pitched perfectly for the teen audience and could fit all high school year groups. The experience drawn upon for the book makes it incredibly special and Acho speaks truthfully, which I think will shine through to audiences. Pupils in schools want to talk about the issues presented in this book, and the book will enable conversations and make change. I can’t wait to recommend it to my pupils.

This is a follow up text to 'Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man', adapted for a younger audience but still based on Acho's viral anti-racism video series.
Although focused on the American narrative, Acho tackles universal issues such as systematic racism, cultural appropriation and white privilege. It definitely gets 'uncomfortable' at times, but as we've all seen, this a conversation much needed with all generations given recent events.
Whilst parts could be selected carefully for use at primary level, it sits best at secondary and above. Educational, insightful and honest for adults and teens alike.
