Seduced by the Dragon Lord is a action packed paranormal romance that you won’t want to put down. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review after reading this arc.

This book is really great. As a vacation read, it saved my rainy afternoon.
With a different setting than most fantasy nocels and great, strong-willed characters, this is an exciting novel that lacks nothing in wit, action and romance, as well as a little eroticism.

Steamy and surprisingly endearing dragon shifter romance! Also, way more action packed than I was expecting!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me an aARC in exchange for an honest review.

I went in to this book fresh in a massive reading slump after the previous book I read and was thinking this might be a quick easy read that would be just fun. But MAN, I was wrong! This was actually really interesting straight out the gate and I was hooked! I read it all basically in one sitting, I only stopped to eat, and I genuinely had a great time with this book. The chemistry between the characters is so good! This is what I want in romance! Bring 👏 me 👏 the 👏 steam 👏

All that aside, this novel follows Jessie, a human woman who was abducted from earth for unknown purposes and Orik, a dragon shifter ordered with her protection while on this alien world, and these two are instantly feeling each other. Trouble is, they both have some baggage and a slew of reasons to mistrust one another, and so the enemies to lovers banter starts. Honestly Jessie was so fun, I felt that her “not like other girls” persona was a bit much at some points, but overall she was fun and spunky. Orik is stoik and stern, but with a soft heart and a bit of a kinky side. I really wanna read the first book in the series now because I feel like it might fill in some of the things I don’t understand here, but I still had an awesome time with this book. Do recommend!

This is the first book I have read in this series but it will not be the last. I loved the story and how it draws you in and keeps your attention. The story revolves around dragons and the dangers that witches presents to them. The two main characters, Jessie and Orik are equally strong in their own way but together they are explosive. There is a lot happening in this story that kept my interested until the very end. This is a great book and I would highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book. Definitely more than the first installment in the series.

The world felt richer and the lore got deeper. We were told more about what's going on as well as focusing on our main couple.

I adored Jessie. She was so funny and independent, I loved how she always stood up for herself and demanded her worth. But also was still so open and honest, so willing to take the plunge and give chances to those who deserve it.

Her wild and curious nature was wonderful to read. I know it was because of her that we got to see more of the world in this book. Jessie is so intune with nature and discovering this new world with her was amazing.

Orik, our love interest, was a suitably gruff and buff dragon with a heart of gold. I enjoyed their romance. Though they had their issues, they seemed well thought out and not something trivial. Their problems were real but they came through them together.

They both saw the errors of their ways in learning to listen to each other and move forward. A wonderfully satisfying ending.

The only thing that brought the story down for me was the epilogue. They're usually just a tidbid of fluff of where the couple are 'x' amount of time down the road, but we didn't get that. It was so very clearly a set up for the next book. It came out of nowhere which characters we'd never seen before, a whole different storyline. It seemed so out of place and just didn't sit right. Really flipped me out of my trance in reading this book (read in only a couple days!).

I don't think that was thought out well. It should have been weaved into story with more thought or better yet, just leave it to the next one. I was quite disappointed in the ending.

But other than that, I really enjoyed the story and definitely interested in reading more about these dragons.

Ps. I'm picturing Phoenix as some cute little creature but I'm sure she looks actually horrific if someone were to draw her 😂

This was just a great book. I enjoyed all of these characters and their internal struggles . The love scenes are sexy and I enjoyed that she was definitely not a damsel in distress. Maybe his acceptance of her was a little easier then it should have been but the the author knows what she’s doing and the storyline flowed well. Definitely must keep reading this series.

I really love books like this one! I felt the romance was very compelling and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Spice and romance, with a hot Dragon Lord. What more can you want? Will be checking out more from this author in the future!

This was such a fun, sexy read! I'm glad I didn't need to read book one to understand what was happening but it's so good that it makes me want to go back and read it -- and keep up with the entire series!

Instant attraction, dragon shifters, hot sex, and making sure a female partner gets off? YES PLEASE! Give me more!

This was such a fun read that I didn't notice anything to really be critical about. The only minor thing was a few typos in the review copy. But that didn't take away from the experience for me at all!

Dragons in Space..... I REPEAT..... Dragons in Space

Kiersten Fey has given readers another wild ride!

Jessie Knight has been abducted and crashlands onto Orik's homeland. I loved how sassy Jessie's inner monologue was and her outrageous one-liners had me rolling with laughter. Orik on the other hand is of the King's Guard and is extremely uptight. To say it's a case of opposites attract is putting it mildly. I enjoyed learning about Orik's history and especially his past with witches, especially as Jessie begins developing some very strange abilities. Their chemistry is explosive and I enjoyed that while certain instances demanded a hot and heavy session, there were also moments of tenderness, affection, and romance.

I enjoyed seeing June and Tristan from the first book of the series, especially as she navigates not only life as royalty but as a dragon. I loved that their mom was able to make cameos throughout with her perky upbeat personality that offsets all the male testosterone. She ties their quirky unconventional family together and cements the role of the family as a central theme within this series.

The world-building within this series continues to astound me as the author weaves a story fraught with conflict and distrust. This morphs into anarchy and as the threats begin to build we see it isn't only Jessie and Orik in danger but also the crown. To say I was left speechless at some of the revelations is an understatement!

I am hooked on this series and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for spicy Sci-Fi. Thank you to the author and NetGalley for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Preface by saying I did not read the first book in the series before reading this. That said, I do not think one needs to read it to understand the main points of the book. Now that said, after reading this I want to go back and read book one and am quite excited about the next book as well! It is a paranormal romance that has this mesh of dragon and alien that is exactly what I needed! I loved the other planet which gave it this alien vibe but it was still dragons! Our heroine is feisty and I actually laughed out loud in the first few chapters. She cools down a bit as the story moves along but there were some great line still from her. She sees some of her potential on this planet that really helps the story move along. Our hero was a grumpy stoic dragon who had his own conflictions to deal with. I think there is the perfect balance of plot and romance! It moves the story along nicely but there is still the tension between the two. Great streamy scenes, not too many but the few there are, are rather explicit. The story flows and at the end of each chapter I just wanted to keep going which I think makes a great book!

I really forgot how much I enjoy these books by Kierstan Fay.

This book is the second in the series and I completely demolished it, only putting the book down at times because I had to.

Jessie is a strong independent female and was not afraid to be herself even in a strange place and always spoke her mind and never compromised who she was and what she stood for. Mean while Orik came across initially as harsh and stoic, but really he was protecting himself and his adopted family after a horrific incident in his past. They way he ended up looking after Jessie even unwittingly showed that he really does have a marshmallow centre once you managed to gain access into his inner walls.

The world building and description of the flora and fawner was brilliant and really transported me to the alien planet and the supporting characters were really well thought out.

I am really enjoying this series and cannot wait to see how the rest of the series pans out.

I'll start by saying I haven't read the first book in the series so I think I missed a lot of the lore in that respect and maybe some inside jokes as well but overall I really like this book. The writing style was really fun and engaging and who doesn't love a good steamy enemy to lovers story. I will definitely go back and read the first book though before continuing with this series.

The second book in the Dragon Lords series features Jessie, an outdoorsy, independent woman from earth and Orik, commander of the guard and royal adoptee, as they try to navigate a strong attraction marred by new-found magic powers and an intense distrust of witches.

The world-building in this series is fantastic, interlacing many planets and cultures across Fay's various series. The plot in this book however, it is a bit light. Most of the novel is comprised of thinking about sex or having sex. The royal assassination plot felt like an afterthought. If you are looking for sparks, you will find them here.

Big Thanks to Netgalley and Kiersten Fay for the ARC e book in exchange for an honest review!!

Jesse, a human who stumbles into a spacecraft on earth and is transported, unwillingly, onto a planet of witches and Dragon shifters.
Orik, a dragon shifter, is tasked with taking care of Jesse and protecting his family from the witches. Mistrusting anyone of the witch kind Orik and Jesse butt heads. Jesse needs to figure out her loyalties, and Orik must decide if he is willing to accept the witches as allies.

Overall, I'm giving it 4 stars. It was pretty decent with Dragon shifters, witches, space travel, Queens, and a touch of magic. Jesse's character seemed to flip flop between country sweet heart to a bit trashy, while Orik was the typical broody, dominant, male figure (my fav).

My thanks go to the author, to NetGalley and to the publishers for an advanced reader copy of this book in return for an honest review

I really enjoyed reading this book.

The characters were very likable, Jessie was stubborn, sassy and a witch. Orik was a typical brooding alpha male and didn't like witches. So ensues their story.

The world building was wonderful and I loved the humour that runs through the story.

Once i started this book i found it quite hard to put down. I found it very easy to read and i liked the writing style.

I would absolutely recommend this book to my friends that enjoy this genre. I can't wait for the next one!

The cover wasn’t extremely popular for me but the blurb was eye catching so I grabbed this. I’ve read from this author before and thought the book was pretty good.

What did I like? The unique written world I found myself immersed in had great vibe to it. Aliens that turn into dragon’s and there rival with witches. The author did a great job sucking me in and Jessie was a great main character. Orik was more cynical due to his hatred of witches. Still some great action scenes, some steamy romance, and a great HEA.

Would I recommend or buy? I would…. Anyone a fan of this author will love this story. I didn’t read book one so this is an easy stand alone. A great romance involving humans, witches, and dragons. Four stars of entertainment!

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review!

I think I might have liked this one even more than Tempting the Dragon King, the first book in the Dragon Lords series. That always bodes well when you’re starting a new to you series. 😉

Orik was such a broken, stubborn dragon. He had good reasons to be leery of Jessie. Reasons that went beyond his responsibility to the protect the King. It seemed way to coincidental to him that two travelers from Earth would end up in their kingdom under much the same circumstances. Plus, there was something not quite right about Jessie that made him want to keep his distance, but his attraction to her made that almost impossible.

I loved Jessie from the beginning. She was such a strong character. Most people wouldn’t have handled the situation that she was thrown into nearly as well. Not that things weren’t difficult. She understood Orik’s hesitance to trust her initially, but she also sensed that the attraction he felt was just as strong as hers was toward him.

Besides the inevitable relationship between Orik and Jessie, there was a lot more going on in Seduced by the Dragon Lord. There was a traitor in the Kingdom and would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. So, danger, betrayal, romance, suspense, humor… this story had plenty to keep the pages turning.

Dragon Lords is a spin-off series of Shadow Quest. I’ve only read The Demon’s Possession, but since characters from Shadow Quest show up in the Dragon Lords from time to time, it probably won’t be long before I pick up The Demon Slave so I can get acquainted with them all 😉

I received a copy of Seduced by the Dragon Lord (Dragon Lords Book 2) by Kiersten Fay from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This novel was okay, but I was not captivated and felt no connection to the characters or the plot. The summary seemed interesting, but the novel’s pacing was uneven and the characters rather bland. Just not my cup of tea.
