I liked where this story was heading. but the characters lack of awareness annoyed me at times. I enjoyed the second chance at life she was getting, but she could've been more likeable!

a little bit cheesy but ok overall!! some funny parts, lots of nyc cliché moments at times "Amelia" came as insufferable/ whiney

This was the first book I've read from this author and I really enjoyed it. The story was different from anything I've read recently and really captured my attention.

A traditional rom-com book for those who really enjoy rom-com books. I will say this was an easy read, but I just felt like it was extremely predictable.

I love the concept of a romance with a grown woman as protagonist. I do wish she was more representative of her age.

Unfortunately this just fell flat for me, I didn’t enjoy it, it just seemed slow and I couldn’t care about the characters or the plot. I’m sure plenty others will enjoy, just not me

I'm afraid this did not work for me. It was poorly edited and definitely needed another look over, which took away a lot of enjoyment for me. I also struggled to associate with Amelia, who I found rather immature and gullible. Unfortunately I DNF'd this book.

i really liked this book. This was a pleasant book to read and I will read more from her. Liked it all. from start to finish. pure enjoyment.

I wasn't able to read this book prior to it's pub date due to unforeseen circumstances in my personal life. I regret that I was not able to do this, but I want to let the publisher and Netgalley know that I did not simply ignore this responsibility. I could NOT get through this book. I tried, and failed. The characters didn't feel likable to me, and the entire story took way too long to get going.

As rom-com -this book gives the laugh out loud, Bridget Jones-esq humour, mixing in the naivety of hope and the strength of friendships. I think this book is best read with the foresight of the *spoiler* as some readers may find it difficult to feel empathy to the main character for her SOMEWHAT ignorance. Having said this, the book is fun and the 'one that's there already' romance, though cliché fits the narrative well, a light fun read.

This book is way predictable. Who is suppose to believe that the character did not know? Ma'am, stop being so gullible. You are at the age that you should know when you are getting scammed. I just cannot with this character.

I struggled a bit to get through this one as I felt the text itself needed more focus on construction and better editing so it was quite distracting. Additionally the main character was really hard to believe in or want to follow along with as it was just too 'dumb' and gullible.. It distracted me completely and I had to keep pushing myself to continue reading because of this.

I really enjoyed reading a book about an older-than-twentysomething-woman, and how she is trying to balance a job, being a single mom, and the prospect of new love. This was a fun read in a time of stress. I will definitely look up books from Helga Jensen in the future!

I really wanted to love this book but honestly struggled to get into it, I kept picking it up and putting it down over and over again. The plot is cute but very predictable and I already knew what would happen at the end before I got there. Took me over two months to finally get through the entire thing and I almost DNF. This would be great for someone who is just starting to get into the more adult books in their early 20s.

I really wanted to like this book. The synopsis sounded great but sadly this book fell short on all aspects for me.
