Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

This book is page-turning and uplifting.
Three different stories, which link to the same dress.

Firstly, Suzanne, whose soon to marry, she thinks, the man of her dreams. Only her friends and family have other thoughts on this. Before the big day, there’s things happening which is making her think that someone doesn’t want this wedding to go ahead, and her fiancé isn’t that bothered about these events and is holding things back, especially as his reasons for them happening, make her worry even more. So, will she find out the truth before she walks down the aisle in the dress? I tried to guess what he was hiding, only turned out it was, more than I thought.
The next story is about Bella. She suffers a tragedy, one that leaves her thinking about the future, one that she had thought would have gone differently to how it looks now, but with her determination and the help of some good friends, she gets stronger and overcomes as best she can what’s happened, and finds love and the dress, again plays a part.
Lastly, the story is about Mandy and her grandmother. She tells Mandy a secret, one which goes down like a lead balloon with her family. Mandy resolves to help her grandmother and Josie, even though it will mean going against her family. Will she succeed and what part does the dress play in her plan?

Recommend It.

Thank you NetGalley for my advance copy of this book, I love Dani’s books so I was delighted to receive an advance copy. This is different to other books by Dani as it is essentially 3 short stories all about the same wedding dress. But there are links between the stories. I particularly enjoyed Mandy’s story. This was the story which resonated with me the most. I would recommend.

Dani Atkins always writes such beautiful stories and in this we get three for the price of one! Three separate stories with one thing that links them all together - a designer wedding dress. The three brides, Suzanne, Bella and Mandy's grandmother each have a part in the history of this beautiful dress and I liked that there were three separate stories - one for each character - and yet they all tied in with one another. I especially loved Bella's story which kept me intrigued as to how things would turn out for her. Also, Mandy's grandma's story was a lovely touch to end on and had me in tears. Another nice little touch was the strict looking owner of the dress shop whose no nonsense exterior hides a heart of gold. I am still wondering what magic the dress went on to weave in the life of another future bride long after these stories have ended. Dani has a knack of writing the most tender and moving prose and I loved this book.. Another gold star offering from one of my favourite authors. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a pre-release copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

What a blubbering mess this book left me. The final story did it for me, I couldn’t stop the tears rolling down my cheeks as Mandy’s grandmother married Josie and the support they got from the home and her family, this story really touched me. I also liked how they were not just tied together by the dress, but each of the characters got a mention or played a part in the others story. Mandy mentions Suzanne’s wedding as someone who works with her dad and she sees Will and Bella in the charity shop. And the owner of the dress shop, Gwendoline is amazing, she certainly is a fairy godmother. I loved her heart and how she helped each person and it meant to much to them.

It was all simply wonderful and it really moved me, but then again it’s a given with any Dani Atkins book.

Three very delightful and very different stories that all bring something special to this wonderful book. Dani Atkins has a very emotive writing voice, and as someone who needs to feel a connection to the main characters it suited me perfectly.

As we hear more and more of Suzanne's story (#1) the reader just knows that something isn't right. So whilst the actual "secret" comes as no surprise, there is much entertainment to be found in how the author leads us to that point and how the reveal pans out is both unexpected and rather satisfying.

My only issue was why the person who revealed the secret didn't just speak face-to-face with Suzanne a little sooner. I did have to suspend my disbelief more than a little with the manner they originally chose to act. However without that delay we wouldn't have had a story.

Bella's story (#2) was spell-binding and even had me shedding the odd tear. There is almost a love triangle in this one, though definitely no cheating, in fact Bella is unaware of the true feelings of both men. I loved how the author spun the ending to this one, right until the last moment I wasn't sure who it would be, though of course it was the man who had always shown his love towards Bella. The man who had quietly shown his loyalty and devotion.

I would love this to be made into a full length book, though it would be difficult to maintain the suspense and secret of who won Bella's heart. However after the Wedding scene I would love the story to have gone back in time so we could see how and why things played out the way they did. The book deserves five stars for this short story/novella alone!

Mandy and her grandmother's story was unexpected and yet the perfect way to end the story. Whilst the story was about her gran getting married, for me this was more about the love of family and of acceptance. An entertaining and thought provoking read without being too preachy.

I definitely recommend this book.

Very easy reading as there are three stories, linked by the same wedding dress.

Suzanne, Bella and Mandy are the three main characters in each story.

Suzanne is the first bride and probably rushing a bit into getting married to someone that she definitely has a few doubts about, even if she's trying to ignore them. Until of course the 'crazy ex-girlfriend' supposedly starts leaving notes about how she shouldn't be marrying him. Is there more than just jealousy to the notes? I did think Suzanne was far too trusting of him, when he was obviously hiding things, but she figured it out in the end.

Bella's story was linked in through the accident on the roller coaster that we hear about in the news during the first story. Bella is out on a friend's hen-do and tragedy strikes on the roller-coaster, changing Bella's life forever, but also bringing a new person into it that brings her eventual happiness.

Mandy is the granddaughter of the last bride, a quite different story, but so lovely! Her grandmother is getting married again, but her son doesn't approve, so Mandy helps her organise it, and again the wedding dress, bought this time from a charity shop, features.

Very cleverly linked stories and each story was very enjoyable.

I usually love a book by Dani Atkins, but not this one. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but it didn't hold me captivated like her other work has. I didn't realise this is essentially a book of three different stories. There is a tenuous link - that of the wedding dress - but it's really three separate stories. Just as you get into one, it ends, and you start all over again. The middle story was the strongest. With thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Aw, I didn’t like this book. I’ve read three of Dani Atkins books and loved all of them but this one just didn’t do it for me at all. I found all three stories to be quite slow and pretty uneventful - apart from perhaps the fairground ride scene which was quite tense and I enjoyed that. The three previous books I’ve read have been very emotional, even heart wrenching, and have most definitely had me in tears more than once. This one is very, very tame in comparison and sadly just wasn’t for me. I’m very sad about that and hope the next book will go back to ‘ugly cry’ inducing which for me is Dani’s trademark.

I’ve given 3 stars because it’s not fair to rate it less just because I was disappointed in it. I’m sure it will appeal to lots of readers, I’m not much of a romantic fiction fan which really is what this book is and much prefer sad endings to happy endings.

The Wedding dress by Dani Atkins is another life affirming story and page turner by the author.
The story is set in three parts but all about one designer wedding dress. Each story different to each other but all linked by the one dress.
The stories are both great stories with likeable characters telling us about the ups and downs of love and life. Which I really enjoyed especially the last one. We can’t help who we fall in love with. 5 stars from me.

I am not new to Dani Atkins, I love her books and she normally writes stories which are so cleverly done and this is no exception in how clever it was written but I just didn't love it. It was so different and centred around the same wedding dress. This has three different stories about three different woman. I normally struggle with short stories and maybe this was the reason that I just didn't love it
I found the story with Suzanne a bit frustrating because she was obviously being controlled by her husband to be and you can't understand why she couldn't see what was happening but we all know that this can happen in real life. I think this was the problem, it was a struggle to get through the first part. The other two stories with Bella and Mandy were completely different and I enjoyed it.
If you want a different style of book this is for you especially if you like short stories, Dani Atkins is such a clever writer and this is worth a read

1 dress, 3 brides and a scary looking bridal shop owner who has a heart of gold
1 wanted to punch the soon to be groom in the first part, loved the ending for the 2 people who met under horrible circumstances in the second part and cried ( happy tears ) with the last part
Brilliant, absolutely loved it

I’ve really enjoyed previous books by Dani Atkins so didn’t hesitate to read this, whilst I did enjoy it I did struggle to engage with the characters as well as previously, possibly because it wasn’t three interwoven stories as I’d presumed but more like three novelettes. Each story was really good in its own right and the characters were very strong with a solid concise plot. My favourite character was probably Bella as she was formidable with the challenges she faced, I found Suzanne a little too unsuspecting and teenager Mandy was well written but her story belonged more to her Gran however writing it from Mandy’s perspective did offer a different interesting viewpoint. 7/10

Suzanne is getting married soon -but as her dream day approaches it starts to feel more like a nightmare and she's running out of time to figure out what's wrong before it's too late.
Bella was happy until the Hen Party and now everythings different. Now she's very quickly got to figure out who and what she wants in life while she still can.
Mandys Grandmother is blissfully in love, although nobody else seems to be happy about it. But she's going to get married because life is far too short and now she just needs to find the perfect dress.

These three women have no reason to cross paths, nothing in common with each other at all - apart from one very special dress.

Told in three parts, The Wedding Dress tells three very different stories about love, friendship and family. I particularly enjoyed the third installment of the dresses journey although all of them had very sweet moments.

I adore Dani Atkins, I find her work always has a very certain kind of warmth to it but this time it took me a little too long to connect with the characters in a meaningful way and I found myself skimming through parts of the stories. I loved the idea and the way this book was laid out, like a journey between different lives and it definitely a sweet, heartwarming read.

A very different book for Dani, not quite what I was expecting but very well written as always. The separate stories had just enough to draw them together. A lovely book to read over your holidays!

This was my first Dani Atkins book so thanks to Head of Zeus and Netgalley for an early copy in return for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. It is effectively three short stories connected by the dress. The character that carries through the three stories is not the one that I thought it would be. The three stories are told with sensitivity, love and empathy. I wouldn't suggest its a book where you choose your favourite story, just enjoy all three.

Three women, one dress.

Suzanne - in a whirlwind, she is about to marry Darrell the love of her life. It’s all happened so quickly but it just feels right. When Gwendoline, the owner of fleurs wedding gowns had shown her the dress she immediately knew it was the one. Now she just had to convince her parents that Darrell was the one.

Bella - when she starts the day of her best friends hen do at a theme park she has no idea how that day will end or who she will end it with and the effect that day will have on the rest of her life.

Mandy - being close to her grandmother, Mandy is shocked when she is told a secret her grandmother has been keeping from the family. Mandy is stunned but is so happy for her, she also realises that when her father finds out the secret his mother’s been keeping he’ll be far from happy.

The story takes you on the journeys of three women and how a certain object brings all three women together.

This was such a great book. I love how the stories intertwined and also had separate stories of their own. There were some very emotional parts in it and one story was very reminiscent of one that was in the papers a few years ago. If your a romantic this book is definitely for you.

Another heartwarming, emotional book by Dani Atkins.

I couldn’t put this book down and thoroughly enjoyed the three mini-stories centred around one wedding dress, and how they intertwined.

Another ‘belter’ from Dani Atkins. I always enjoy her books & this one in particular was so beautifully written. It’s a tale of a wedding dress that weaves its way into three different lives in the most wonderful way.

A gem of a book!
Three intriguing very different stories, each a love story in its own right. Suzanne, Bella and Mandy tell their stories.
The only connection being a designer wedding dress from Gwendoline’s exclusive shop.
This book was very cleverly written, the stories were immensely moving and drew the reader in. I couldn’t put it down! I would highly recommend this book
