This is Woods’s memoir of falling for the wrong man, one who will make your worst hook-up look good. Woods is am intelligent woman who finds herself quickly taken in by Mark Conway, a man who proclaims to be both a wealthy banker and a spy. And while the claims seem preposterous from this angle, Conway manages to charm and seduce his way into Woods’s life and her mind. By the time she discovers that the only thing real about her lover is his wealth, it’s too late. This is an intense look at how easy it can be to lose yourself in someone else’s lies

A little unbelievable even though it is a true account of events, written by the person they happened to.

I did find this audiobook interesting, it was well narrated and adequately paced but I found it rather unbelievable and unconvincing. I didn’t really connect with Caroline and found her to be a little aloof at times.

I did, however, feel that what happened was awful and a truly horrible experience.

Many thanks to the author and NetGalley for gifting me this arc in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

This was BRILLIANT as an audiobook. I read as an ebook and really enjoyed it but the audio version really adds an extra dimension. Highly recommended

Thank you so much NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me an audiobook of sleeping with a psychopath. I also received a kindle copy and left my review previously under that.
