I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

I did enjoy this book and I thought the humour was good. I also loved the Glasgow setting, but I found it to be a bit cringe in places which detracted from my enjoyment!

I did like Zara though and I was really rooting for her to succeed.

I really couldn’t get on with this one, sadly. I have seen lots of good reviews though, so it is likely just me.

The pacing was good.

A really fun and quirky read, yeah there were some cringey moments but that’s life I’ve had plenty of them dating ! I loved reading about Glasgow it’s a place I love in Scotland (well all of Scotland) that isn’t covered as much in books and it’s so nostalgic for me like I was there again. A hilarious read, so full of fun

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Lovely feel good book to read. It was a joy to read. Lovely characters. Great plot. The book was charming. Very well written. I’d definitely recommend this book

This was a cute romance, but I didn’t love it. It was funny in places, but I struggled with some of the cringier moments as well as the high number of grammatical errors. I have not reviewed on goodreads or my Instagram account, as I don’t like to publish negative reviews (What I don’t love might be someone else’s favourite! And I have no interest in tearing down indie authors).

A Glasgow Kiss is a Rom Com with some very steamy scenes!

Poor Zara really had some terrible dates and strange experiences - it was relatable to the 30 something year old woman and this is definitely what would put me off having to date again!

This is a short but sweet read full of humour and I enjoyed the use of text message conversation throughout!

I loved the main characters clumsy, loveable and hilarious traits and the events she got herself into had me in stitches! It was lovely to read about hot spots in Glasgow. I was hooked on this book and read it in one day as I was dying to find out if Zara would meet the one! The ending was the perfect round off to the book, and was extremely uplifting! I will be reading again any time I need cheering up!

Reading the blub and the fact its set in Glasgow drew me in.
There was moments that did make me giggle, but there was many uncomfortable, cringey to much detail moments that ruined the enjoyment. This also made it hard for me to stay gripped and to became a bit of a chore to finish.

The "there's nothing romantic about dating" its true for this book. As it seems to be one a-hole after enough. I get low self confidence and esteam can impact but not this much of an issue. There was just to much that irritated me.

This sadly wasn't a book for me.

Thank you to netgalley and publisher for providing me with a eARC for an honest review.

I definitely picked up this book based solely on its Glasgow setting. But I was nevertheless entertained by it. Though the plot could definitely have been tightened up in editing. It was nevertheless a fun, quick read. I have no such disastrous love life (because I have no love life), so I had a fun time reading about someone's ups and downs in this arena. The book was also surprisingly heartwarming at times.

Meet Zara Smith: 29, single and muddling her way through life as a trainee nurse in Glasgow. With 30 fast approaching, she's determined to do whatever it takes to find love - or at least someone to sext! Cheered on by best friends Ashley and Raj, Zara embarks on a string of dating escapades that are as hilarious as they are disastrous. From online dating to blind dates, hometown hook-ups to flirty bartenders, nothing is off limits.

But when Dr Tom Adams, aka Sugar Daddy, shows interest, it's a game-changing moment. Zara has had a crush on Tom since her very first day at the aesthetics clinic she works at part-time. As things heat up between them, Zara can't help but wonder: is this it? Or is it another disaster waiting to happen
Hilarious ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A decent enough read, but thats where it ends for me, I'm afraid.

Some of the plot was a little bit too dull, I really was only interested in this because it's set in Glasgow and I have much love for the place, however, this didn't really add anything to the story.

There are some confusing and strange bits in this book but mostly, I felt that it was all a bit all over the shop, the plot could have been more focused, and the writing if spent more time on could have been less choppy.

Guessing this one just didn't tick the box.

With thanks to netgalley, publishers and the author for this free arc in return for my review.

I thought this was a decent read and it kept me engaged til the end. A few reviewers said they found it a bit cringe but I thought that was intentional by the author and was done so for the narrative. I’ll definitely be recommending it to people who want a fresh contemporary read with a bit of fun thrown in.

This book follows Zara, who is sick of being single so she joins dating apps and embarks on some whirlwind experiences.

This book is so fun and fresh. It's so relevant to the modern times and is so relatable!! It's not all laughs and jokes, as it zones in on Zara feeling not good enough for all these men. This is something that definitely needs more representation in current books because most books follow the perfect main character and Zara does not feel like the perfect main character. I loved this book but it was a little cringe for me in some scenes which is why I have rated it 3 stars. Can't wait to read more from this author.

‘A Glasgow Kiss’ follows the somewhat disastrous online dating life of our main character, Zara. I devoured this book in 24 hours, which was full of laugh out loud moments and inwards groans as we follow Zara on her dating journey. As a character Zara is easily relatable with her trials and tribulations of finding a suitable man in our generation where most dating appears to happen based off a swipe left or right. Zara’s somewhat turbulent dating life makes me incredibly chuffed to be happily married and not having to encounter the world of tinder in my late twenties. Having finished the book, I sought out the authors original blog (www) and I do wonder if ‘A Glasgow Kiss’ is a dating memoir, rather than a work of fiction. Sophie your blog posts are hilarious, even with the pandemic putting a lock down on your dating life.
I’m not sure I would categorise A Glasgow Kiss as a romance, purely due to the severe lack of “romantic men” that poor Zara (and possibly Sophie) dated however there’s an underlying strong tale of friendship and inoffensive sex scenes a plenty, although not in a Jilly Cooper or 50 shades manner but more of a “oh my god do men actually do that to bodysuits?!”.. I’ve heard of selling your undies on eBay but the bodysuit fascination is news to me!
Overall ‘A Glasgow Kiss’ is fun, flirty and an easy going read that will be sure to improve a rainy weekend and put a smile on a readers face. It’s not particularly emotionally in-depth, but sometimes that’s just what you need. My only gripe was what felt an unnecessary and excessive use of the C-word, it’s a personal preference but I felt the book would have been fine without it and Zara’s personality would still have shone through.

I have just finished this book after devouring it in 24 hours!

Recommended for fans of Joanna Bolouri!

To start with, the book is steamy and littered with f and c bombs. If you don’t like that, you may struggle. However, I cannot recommend this book enough. It’s not often books actually make you laugh out loud - many claim to, but don’t deliver. This book had me giggling and tittering. Some bits were so disgusting/embarrassing I had second hand cringe!!

Zara is a brilliant main character. Very normal, realistic issues and paranoias. A perfect character. I liked the supporting characters in Ashley and Raj, and did swoon over Tom. Mark was hilarious…the scene with the bodysuit at the beginning completely blindsided me.

The book was fast paced, exciting and I couldn’t put it down. I’m just gutted it’s finished.

I will definitely look out for this author in the future.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for my advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review 📚

Zara is training to be a nurse , and helps out on the reception of her friend Raj botox clinic . She also has rather a large appetite for having a lot of sex with a lot of men.
I found this to be an easy read , but was surprised at how much I enjoyed the story.

2.5 stars rounded up to 3
From the premise of this book, I thought I would enjoy reading it. But unfortunately, I didn't and I had to practically force myself to get through. I found the main character a little too shallow and the language of the book was definitely cruder than I had expected. There were parts of the book I enjoyed, but mostly, this was not such a fun read for me

What I'd hoped to be a hilarious book turned out to be cringy with an unlikable main character. I was admittedly tempted to stop reading at the first page. But for some reason I kept going and I don't know why.

Admittedly, this could be a good book, just not one that matches my sense of humour. So if you're into crude humour, this might be a great read.

I actually got to be on the book tour for this one after requesting it on here! Thank you so much to Orion!

A Glasgow Kiss is a laugh-out-loud, light-hearted read full of drama, romance and moments a lot of people can relate to! I ended up devouring this read and thoroughly enjoying the journey to love Zara goss on.

Zara was an interesting and funny character. She made mistakes, she was clumsy and at times impulsive but at lot of us will be able to see ourselves in her. Zara is trying to navigate the crazy world of dating whilst also trying to focus on her future, feeling like she's getting to the point of her life where she's running out of time for love.

If you're looking for an innocent and cute love story this summer then this one is not for you haha. A Glasgow Kiss is raunchy, hilarious, true to life and was the perfect read to help cheer me up!
