This wasn’t the usual standard of book that I liked or have read before from this author.
I felt the characters were underdeveloped. I felt the twists weren’t as surprising as I hoped they would be.

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Being close to my own, I normally love stories about sisters, but this one didn't quite hit the spot. The story was slow to get going, and while this might work as a device to increase unease, in this case - for me - I found I lost interest pretty quickly and DNF.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Many thanks to Netgalley and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
One Good Lie is the story of two sisters, Sophie and Ruby, who are grieving the murder of their mother, Aileen by her boyfriend.
The sisters try to piece their lives back together after he is sent to prison, but another woman is murdered. She has a connection to the man who murdered their mother, and makes the sisters question everything, including each other.
I wanted so much to love this one! I struggled throughout because it was such a slow burn and unfortunately it just couldn’t hold my interest :(

A good read, quite compelling and a sense of mystery keeps it bumping along nicely. Not the biggest amount of suspense but enjoyable nonetheless.

I would rate this book 3.25 out of 5 stars.

This was an enjoyable, albeit very predictable, thriller. The story also included a very unnecessary twist.

I chose this book from the “read now” feature because I like the author but I was disappointed in this book.

Not a patch on her other books, and I was very disappointed. The plot line was weak and plodded along to an inevitable guessable ending, so not the thrills that I was expecting and hoping for.

Dark thriller that had you hooked from the off. The book was very well written. Great plot. Very exciting. Fast paced to get your heart racing. Loved this book

Thank you netgalley and publisher for opportunity to read and review this arc honestly.

This book has more of a slow burn feel to it, which isn’t primarily my favorite as I get bored easily. I stuck with it and it does eventually pick up. The story was good, interesting premise. Not an unforgettable book but I’ll definitely be willing to read another by this author.

When you have a story following 2 sisters, a death, and a secret, you already know how its going to end. For me, it came off very predictable

One Good Lie is a very slow burner. Overall a good story but it is slowly paced. I usually prefer faced paced books,

Decent. Just not my usual read. I finished it, it was okay, I didn't get anything from it except that a few hours passed

Good Premise, okay execution. This was an enjoyable read, but not one that I am likely to read again. The Story opens with two murders on the day of their (a pair of sisters) mother's wake. A young woman is murdered that night, a coincidence that throws doubt into the mind of one of the sister's concerning her mother's death.
The suspense was done well, propelling me to continue reading; I figured out who the murderer was, but not their motivation which turned out to be an intriguing twist.
70%
Oxford commas were not used which really irked me... while I know that is immaterial.

This book starts off very slow and in places was a bit repetitive. It picks up in the middle of the book and not too many suprises which makes it a bit predictable. The ending was what made the book for me.

A bit slow in spots and not terribly hard to guess the killer, but this book is a solid thriller. Pick it up for a fast read that doesn't get too deep in plot.

This was a decent thriller. It didn't blow me away, or keep me on the edge of my seat too much, but I enjoyed it. It was a fast paced, quick read. 3 stars

I have read other books by the author and have enjoyed them so was looking forward to this. It was a decent read but a little slow in places.

The author's first psychological thriller
It was interesting enough with the premise being the story of the sister and a murderer mother
Body count rose up but the story was too long and dragged on too slowly for me to get the feel of a whodunit.
Overall, it was predictable and okay.

Sorry for the delayed review (thought I had already posted it!)

Wow what a great read, kept me hooked. I did however guess the killer before it was revealed but nevertheless I enjoyed this book, I also let my sister read who enjoyed it just as much as me. A book that doesn't let you put it down!
