I really liked No Exit so had high hopes for this one. It was a quick read, told from three different viewpoints. It was entertaining, but not riveting. The twists fell flat and some you saw coming. I’m really not a fan of books written about twins, and had I know that was the case here I wouldn’t have bothered I find them to be cliché and rather boring. That was seen throughout this book as well.
I didn’t find this book to be much of a thriller, rather a domestic drama or revenge book. We follow the story of Cambry’s death that her twin, Lena knows wasn’t a suicide. Lena travels to where her sister has supposedly committed suicide and seeks to learn the real truth.
The book is one dimensional and lacks any depth. I give it 2.5 out of 5 stars.

First, thank you to the publishers at Joffe Books and Netgalley for this e-ARC of Hairpin Bridge.
I’ve been trying (and failing) to win this book on Goodreads for months, and when I saw it as a Read Now on Netgalley, I had to have it! I read No Exit earlier this year and loved it, so I knew I’d enjoy this story as well.
Well, I wasn’t disappointed! With so many different viewpoints and plenty of action to go around, Hairpin Bridge will leave you breathless. I felt like I was there amongst the action the whole time, and that ending was a real tear jerker.
Cambry, Lena’s twin, committed suicide in the middle of nowhere Montana, but Lena isn’t buying it. Determined to bring justice to her sister’s killer, she heads out to Hairpin Bridge in her sister’s Toyota Corolla no less to confront the state trooper she feels is to blame. Is she right, is she wrong? The story weaves in and out in such a way that will have you wondering what’s truth and what’s fiction.
While I didn’t feel completely surprised by the ending, mainly because of the information given throughout the story, the epilogue had me in tears. Hairpin Bridge is a fast paced thriller with action, gore, murder, and revenge, all amid an impending forest fire. You’ll find yourself both rooting for Lena and wondering if, maybe, just maybe, she needs to be a little nicer to Raycevic.
5 stars for me!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A huge thank you to Netgalley & William Morrow for this advanced copy to read & review! This book hits the shelves, June 15.. and believe me, you wanna get this one preordered or reserved at your library because this was fantastic!
Taylor Adams hit this one out of the park on the suspense scale. I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end, I couldn’t put it down. It was atmospheric, very well detailed & cinematic to read.
Our story is about twins, who are somewhat estranged, when one of the twins dies suddenly, from an alleged suicide off of a “haunted” rundown bridge. All the while, there is a forest fire raging in the distance. I loved that I couldn’t decide who or what to believe while I was reading this, it made it all such a mystery to read.
Get your hands on this June 15, trust me, you’ll be thinking about this one nonstop, even after you finish it! I can’t wait to see more from this author!

The book No Exit by this same author stuck with me for a while after reading it, just because some of it had felt so disturbing. I was expecting more from Hairpin Bridge, and while I liked it overall, it felt a bit repetitive while also being unbelievable in the middle. I also didn't like that it felt more like the story was being told to me (especially during scenes from the past) instead of it playing out naturally, if that makes sense.
Kindly received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book. This was my most anticipated book of 2021 as Adams' debut "No Exit" is one of my most recommended books. This one is one of the most emotional rollercoasters ever! Lena seeks revenge for her twin sister Cambry, but no one could've predicted this journey. There were so many twists I swear I have whiplash. This one was a little bit darker than I expected, but it lended itself to the story. Adams' is a true master of suspense. Definitely recommend. Out Jun 15, 2021.

If you’re a fan of Taylor Adams “No Exit” and you like the fast pace of a thriller, this book is for you. Adams’ writing style keeps you on the edge of your seat, plugs you right into the story, and takes you on a thrilling ride from start to finish. There were some difficult family dynamics in play involving mental illness, deceit and betrayal. Fair warning: This book also dealt with suicide and had a plenty of violence in it too. But it was quite a good read!
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with the opportunity to read and review this book.

I had read no exit by Taylor Adams and liked it a lot so I figured I'd give hairpin bridge a try. I'm glad I did because it was really a decent thriller. The gist of the story is a sister goes to wear her twin supposedly jumped off a bridge and committed suicide and meets the police officer that was at the scene and tries to find out what really happened. I don't want to give too much away but there is definitely twists and turns I didn't see coming, it was a easy fast read, I definitely recommend. Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for an arc in exchange for a honest review

Lena’s twin sister Cambry commits suicide by jumping off a bridge in remote Montana. However, Lena feels there’s more to the story, and sets off for Hairpin Bridge to seek answers. That’s the premise for Taylor Adams newest novel, and this one is intense from the very start. The tension never lets up as Lena confronts the truth about what happened to her sister. Cleverly told through snippets of Lena’s blog, alternating with real-time events, keeps the reader totally engrossed. You’ll find yourself rooting hard for Lena in this suspense filled novel. Loved it! I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to preview Hairpin Bridge. Taylor Adams has returned with a fast paced novel that will have you turning each page while holding your breath.
I thought No Exit could not be topped - EYESHOT was a tour-de-force - but Hairpin Bridge is another book that can be brought to the screen.
A young woman seeks revenge for her sister's death - it appears her sister committed suicide, but that story does
n't fit because a text was sent and there's a clue that things are not what they appear.
She sets out on a campaign to find the truth - and she gets more than she bargained for on The Hairpin Bridge.
5 stars - EXCELLENT - Recommend.

Well, it’s fast paced. And that’s about the only positive thing I can think of to say about this book. If you choose to read this, you’ll spend the majority of it screaming “why the heck did you do that?” at every single character. The plot is just ridiculous and implausible.

Lena Nguyen sets out to find out what really happened the last night her sister Cambry was alive. Her death was ruled as a suicide by police but her sister Lena doesn't quite buy it after receiving a text from Cambry that was sent before she died. When she arrives in town, she finds the police officer's story doesn't quite add up like it should.
I found Hairpin Bridge to be a very thrilling read for me! I felt like I couldn't turn the pages quick enough. Adam's does a fantastic job at building the suspense and throwing in unexpected twists. This book will for sure get you out of a reading slump or make the perfect beach read this summer!
Thank you Netgally for providing me with an e-arc!

Why each time I read a new Taylor Adams book, my entire body hair stands up ? Brrr! I’m tenser than the relationship between Meghan Markle and Royal Place! I’m out of cushions! I bit them all! I’m spitting out feathers! It feels like rewatching Deer Hunter’s Russian Roulette scene over and over again!
This book is a long duel! A powerful revenge, a twisty cat and mouse and mind bending hunter becomes prey as prey becomes villain of the story! So mind blowing, heart throbbing, engaging, binge read worthy, extremely exciting wild ride!
The story is about estranged twin sisters: the wild one called Cambry decides to hit the road, driving through the states, stealing gas, getting odd jobs, meeting with useless dipshits as boyfriends. But three months ago, she hits the gas and drives through Hairpin Bridge: taking its name from the architectural anomaly because it looks like giant metal hairpin with its odd shape where is located outside of Missoula, Montana.
According to the police report : she stopped the car, leaving her engine running, door ajar. She walked to the bridge’s edge, she gripped the guardrail with both hands, hoisted herself from the railing one leg at a time and she jumped two hundred feet to death.
Lena, the reliable, responsible , introvert twin sister has her own doubts because getting the cryptic suicide text message from her sister before she jumps already haunted her soul! Her sister is unpredictable, suffering from mental health issues, she’s unreliable, irresponsible, restless, but she never had suicide tendencies!
Lena arranges a meeting with highway patrolman named Raymond R. Raycevic who found her sister at the scene and who also stopped her from speeding an hour ago. Cambry already made 16 calls to 911! She couldn’t connect with the officers! If a girl wants to end her life why the hell she keeps calling to the officers!
Lena knows in her guts there are so many loopholes about her sister’s suicide story. She is the one who will fill the missing pieces whether she gets herself into dangerous cat and mouse game, being chased by this highway patrolman who is hiding something from her!
Lena picks up her recorders, documenting everything, writing last moments of her sister but what if things are so different she’d ever imagined.
Get ready to be shocked and hold still because at any second the rug may be pulled out from under you! Because there’s nothing as it seems at this full throttle, breathing, high tension story! It was better than watching action packed- extremely disturbing thriller movie!
I loved No Exit! I was waiting for so long to read another brilliant, surprising, heartbreaking, psychological thriller of Taylor Adams! I’m so happy I got what I expected! Such a astonishing, earth shattering, mind bending thriller!
Special thanks to NetGalley and Joffe Books for sharing this digital reviewer copy with me in exchange my honest opinions.

Enjoyable mystery that explores mental illness and the bond between siblings.. I made it 25 % before putting this book down , the story was not clear and I didn’t like the writing style.

I have a strong feeling this will be the next “BLOCKBUSTER THRILLER”—it’s that good! I literally could not stop reading it & was on the edge of my seat, wondering what would happen next. Suspenseful and thrilling don’t seem strong enough words to describe the sheer intensity of this book. I really liked this author’s previous hit book and am so pleased that his newest is (dare I say) even better! Highly, highly recommend & am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to read this ARC!

This book is excellent, like his book no exit! It’s got many great twisty turns, is ice cold chilling, thrilling, and gasp worthy shocks! Could have been cut down a bit on its filler, but still a 5 star mind blowing story! I would highly, highly recommend this fantastic story to my fellow thriller lovers!
Will make sure buzz around platforms and use low Amazon reviewer number on release!

I just finished this nightmare of a book, and I’m pretty sure I won’t sleep well tonight night. This is a story of mental illness, suicide, deception, family, and murder. There was a large amount of descriptive violence which leads me to view this more as horror than thriller. Not recommended for the faint of heart.

Dark characters and grim situation
Twin sister they say was suicide, the facts don’t seem true to a suicide.
Her sister goes to the bridge with a cassette, and with flashback, it recounts the past. Unusual ending to surprise the reader
Given ARC by Net Galley and Joffe for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Hairpin Bridge follows Lena over the course of a few hours as she tries to find out what really happened to her twin sister Cambry. Cambry was believed to have jumped to her death on a notorious hairpin bridge, but Lena isn't so sure that's what happened.
To put my review as straightforward as possible, if you enjoyed No Exit you will enjoy Hairpin Bridge. I was one of those people. I absolutely loved No Exit, and the same goes for Hairpin Bridge. I devoured this book in one sitting on Mothers Day (Sorry, Mom). This is a super fast-paced book that you don't want to put down. I've seen some criticism about the level of believability of the book, but that's not a problem for me. I love thrillers that have just a little bit of unbelievability, and twists that keep me guessing, which is exactly what Hairpin Bridge did. This would be a perfect book to get you out of a reading slump as well!

Thank you to NetGalley and Joffe Books for providing a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Lena Nguyen is on a mission. Her twin sister, Cambry, committed suicide on Hairpin Bridge... allegedly. Unconvinced and full of vengeance, Lena sets off for Montana to confront the man who just might be Cambry's killer. This book started off strong, and there were incredible heart-racing scenes that made me eager to turn the page. As I kept reading, however, this turned out to be a miss for me. I was expecting a twisty thriller similar to No Exit, but there really weren't many twists at all. The ending made this seem like a love letter between sisters, NOT a story of revenge.
