A story of dark secrets.....
Riley doesn’t want her mom to know that she’s been seeing her newly discovered family, the Corisi clan. Riley’s biological father made her mother’s life hell, and even though he’s dead, her fear of anyone who shares his last name lives on.

After attending two funerals, Gavin’s father has decided Gavin needs a wife and children to be happy. Rather than inheriting his family’s company, Gavin now must earn his way back into his father’s good graces by producing a fiancée.

Everything with Riley would have gone easier if he had just lied to her about his meeting with her brother Dominic. The truth would have hurt her, and that was the last thing he wanted.

He never wanted a relationship, but when he is forced to choose between business or a future with her, he realizes he’ll choose her every time.

The running theme of The Lost Corisis is what makes a family. Is it love? Is it blood? Or is it hope? Cardello pulls emotions into the creation of a family that's been years in the making. Dominic Corisi continues to make for compelling storytelling and this time around, his long lost family takes center stage. He Said Never is a love story drowning in family chaos. Caught in the middle of it all is Riley. With an overbearing brother, A wary mother and a family history that continues to haunt her present happiness, it's hard to guess if a happy ending waits on the horizon. Cardello keeps getting better.

So excited for Riley’s story! After getting to know Riley in the previous book in this series, I was very interested to see what would happen with her. Riley has such an optimistic outlook towards life and what has happened over the years to not only her but her family. She takes every opportunity as experience, and when she finds out she has more siblings, she jumps at the chance to get to know them, whereas her brother and mother are not happy about it and extremely reserved on the topic. Feeling like she is living two lives, she has her life with her mother and her childhood neighborhood, but then also has a penthouse in the city from her new brother where she spends time with those siblings. Gavin has been very jaded in regard to love and a relationship, and when his father has a new outlook on life and demands he find love in order to take control of the family business, he is furious. When he meets Riley, he decides to proposition her to help fool his family, but Riley will have nothing to do with deceiving anyone, but also would appreciate his help in bridging the gap between her two lives and understanding her new brother and his financial status for her mother. I loved that these two were able to fall in love and Gavin gets to have the future that his father wanted him to finally have. I can’t wait to see who’s next in this sibling group!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Another fabulous read by Ruth Cardello with the intertwining Corisi family.
Personally; I would never go back after reading every book she had written about Dominic. He is such an Aloha male with a soft heart.

This book however revolves around two new characters. Who are being welcomed into the family. Introducing Dominic’s sister Riley and her new friend Gavin.
They meet unexpectedly and sparks fly. Dominic however us very protective of Riley and starts to interfere in his usual way.,Gavin is not one to run away though and realised he is for Riley.

With Riley’s past still in ring of her about her deceased father, and Gavins insecurity after his mother left him, the two gave many hurdles to overcome.

Fabulous read!! Ruth’s book are a delight to read and I look forward to every one she published. This one didn’t disappoint!

I loved this. From the very beginning I could feel the love within this book. Riley is such an amazing character and her Hope and positivity really draw people in. I loved how she touched all the lives of the brides she helped and how, even though she didn’t have much herself she always found a way to help those less fortunate.
Gavin is a great character too, his heart is there from the start and I love how he learns who he really is throughout this book. I loved reading the scenes with his dad and the banter they developed. Such a wonderful relationship built from love and respect. Riley’s mom Farra is an amazing character and I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of her but I’m sure her life has taken a turn for the better, no more fear just love and happiness.

Another great book in this series I can’t wait to see who’s next.

Enjoyable continuation of a series- can be read alone but I think best if you read others first. Author has a knack for pulling you in for the journey as she weaves her story telling- some romance, some spice, and a lot of fun reading!

Another installment in the Corisi saga, this one focuses on Riley and Gavin.Riley has discovered her connection to the Corisi family and in navigating the path to a relationship with the family, catches and holds the attention of Gavin. While the initial meeting was somewhat antagonistic and unusual, they fall into a tenuous relationship of sorts peppered with some witty repartee and overshadowed by her brother's overprotective, unapologetic interferences. The spark between them was electric from the first meet and was evidenced repeatedly as the story progressed and as they acknowledge the commonalities in their backgrounds.Gavin's brash "take no prisoner" personality and Riley's sassy "no shrinking violet" verbal comebacks made for a captivating, jocular read. I thoroughly relished this one and highly recommend it as a light ,relaxing way to pass the time. Netgalley provided this ARC for my free ,honest review.

Ruth has a way of making me fall in love with her writing over and over again with each book! Her writing is so unique and each book it feel like I’m reading her for the first time!

He Said Never is a very original story! Yes some points of the plot are your typical enemies to lovers but so much of it was very differently executed! Riley and Gavin may seem the same but Riley is new to his world and is trying to find her place! After some unexpected run ins these two foes decide maybe friendship can be attainable! As they get to truly know one another their bond morphs into something more but both have to decide if they can fight for what is right!

I loved Riley’s openness to the world! She has such an amazing view of people and the world around her! So open to the possibilities of love and life! But she is also unsure of herself and some of the people around her! Gavin was a good balance to her outlook and even though he is more cynical than she together they help each other to see things in a different and better light!

I loved how they built one another up to be better and stronger! I also really REALLY loved seeing some of my fave characters from past books! I look forward to what comes next and can’t wait to see what else is in store for this family!

A wonderful story of Riley, one of the lost Corisi's, and Gavin, the son of the CEO (who has gone off the rails since a couple friends' funerals). Riley was trying to navigate being Dominic's sister without getting overrun and also doing all that behind her mother's back. Gavin was trying to appease his father and figure out what the heck he wanted to do with his life. This was a fun read, and I got lost in the story. Always a plus!

Thanks NetGalley and publisher for this arc!
Once again Ruth Cardello knocks is out of the park with her riveting storytelling! Every book gets better than k the last! Riley and Gavin's love story was full of a few twists and turns and this book can be read as a standalone but to get the full picture you should definitely read the first book in the series. Another great addition to this interconnected Corisi series. I have loved watching this series expand while still getting a chance to see old favorites in the series as well.

This is a great book. The two main characters are Riley and Gavin. They are completely opposite. Riley trust everyone and Gavin trust no one. They work through some issues they have and true love.

Another great addition to this interconnected Corisi series. I have loved watching this series expand while still getting a chance to see old favorites in the series. Coming back to this series is like the comfort of a cup of tea and reading a book in the fall.

I loved Gavin and Riley and their interactions. At times, Gavin came off as rude or insensitive and other times Riley appeared standoffish. However, this was just miscommunication and awkwardness. I had to laugh at the antics of Dominic in this series. His attentions are always coming from a good place though. I think my favorite scenes, however, though were between Riley and Mr. Tuttle. He stole the show for me.

I struggled a little bit with the ending of this book. It was very cookie cutter and almost too perfect. Everything came together too quickly and perfectly in such a short amount of time. However, it was not enough for me to not enjoy the story.

I am looking forward to the next book from this author and this series.

Ruth Cardello never disappoints. Absolutely loved this book and would recommend it to anyone. Very well done.

This is my first book by this author, but I would happily read more. The writing was fantastic and I really liked the characters. The storyline hit all the right notes and developed nicely with moments of push and pull, but mostly it was an easy-to-read and enjoy plot line making me smile, swoon, and and kept me turning the pages. Gavin was so swoony and I loved Riley's spirit and strong sense of values.

I think if I had read more books in this world, this story would easily be a five star read for me. There are elements of this story that I have a feeling would be more endearing to me as a reader if I had full back story of the rest of the Corisi clan and Romanos mentioned. The cast of characters seemed to be quite colorful in their own rite, and there were times I felt like if I knew more about them, certain scenes would have more depth for me as a reader.

While this book can be read as a standalone, I think it's going to have more fan appeal for those that have read about this family before. The romance was solid and gave me all the tummy butterflies I need as a reader.

All that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would happily recommend it to anyone. I plan to read more books from this series, starting from the beginning, because the world seems to be one I would enjoy.

Thank you Netgalley for the advance copy.

This is my first book by this author, so I went into this not reading the first one. You can read this novel as if it is a standalone but from my understanding it is even better if you read the first one. I think that the characters were really well developed. Now that I have read this one, I am going to go back and read the first book before the next one comes out.

Thank you Ruth, Montlake and Netgalley for the digital arc of He Said Never. This book cracked me up — in the best way.

The moment I started reading, I couldn't put it down. It was like I was curiously listening to the characters in person share their cute-meet-not-expected story over coffee. From the first page till the last, the narration and scenes engrossed me completely. This romance fiction felt like I was watching a rom-com movie on Comedy Central.

To me, I see this novel as a stand-alone feel-good story. I didn't find the scenes excessively dramatic. However, as it leads on, it kind of becomes predictable. Otherwise, they are balanced perfectly. Mostly, I loved the dialogues. They seem natural, funny and engaging. I loved Gavin and Riley's simmering sexual tension. Their quirks made me laugh and thoughts about each other melted me.

This is a quick, witty and heartwarming read. I loved it. I will definitely recommend this book.

OMG, I don’t know how this author does it, but every book is just better than the last! I already loved Riley and her journey to an HEA is just wonderful and beautiful and it gave me all the feels! Gavin had me swooning, the side characters are as great as ever, and yeah, I just loved it!

This was such a fun story with great characters and witty dialogue! Gavin and Riley meet by accident but sparks fly. There are misunderstandings and confusion but they finally decide they "like" each other. She is ready for a real relationship but he advised her he "never" would settle down. Both had unfortunate incidents in their upbringing but they handled their traumas differently, setting the stage for adulthood. Finally, they both realize what is really important in life and find their way to each other. Highly recommended. #netgalley

I first discovered this author when she introduced Dominic Corisi. This latest book is about a sister that he recently discovered and her new relationship. These stories are light-hearted and have comedic moments. Overall, this is a nice beach read, but not at all close to her more in-depth storylines.

I enjoyed this book so much. I was super excited to see Riley and meet Gavin. I loved how Riley believed in wishes being shared and how she changed Gavin. The ending was definitely my favorite and I’m excited to read hopefully Kal’s story. I felt the book was written well and gripped me from the beginning and kept my attention the whole way through.
