Fizzy is a little girl who has been told that she has to go to bed, but she does everything she can to stay up late, as she isn't tired, and she wants to have a lot of fun looking after her dog, dressing up, playing, and going to Mrs Crumbleboom's party. How long will her Mum let her stay up for?

This is a really fun book, which I read with my daughter, and we both enjoyed it a lot. Every time Fizzy did something to get out of going to bed, I thought she was acting just like my daughter does at bedtime! My daughter and I were laughing all the time at Fizzy's antics. This is a great book, with lovely graphics, which I highly recommend.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is a great book for children learning to read by themselves. The story is humorous and I'm sure most children can relate to the little girl (called Poppy) who keeps trying to delay bedtime by a few more minutes!
In this story Poppy is getting ready to go to a party next door (instead of getting ready for bed) and persuades her mum to take her. She's still not tired afterwards so her mum makes her a special camp bed to sleep in.
It's always great to find reading books that also have a fun and interesting storyline. Lovely colour illustrations accompany the text make this a perfect story for the newly independent reader.
