A big thank you to NetGalley and Whistle Oak Publishing for the audio ARC. This is a children's book. I think everyone would enjoy listening to it. I found the narrator to be fabulous! I loved the idea of the book-to simply write a nice letter to the mice and telling them of a better place than yours. Fun and whimsical. Finn and Mr. and Mrs. Mouse have quite a time. You 'll giggle inside!! 4 stars very well done.

Everyone should read children’s books, however old. It is the best way to connect with your inner child, rediscover how amazing children’s writing is and go off on an adventure.
I listened to ‘Out Mouse’ on audiobook. It is an absolute delight. This is the story of Finn who finds a pair of mice in his home. Finn wants the mice to leave and so seeks some advice about how to achieve this. The advice is to write the mice a letter. There follows a series of letters written by Finn to the mice as he suggests alternatives home to them.
This is a delightful comic and simple little story and it was narrated absolutely beautifully by Paul Collins who totally conjured up the character of Finn for me.
Having been a teacher I could imagine this book being a fantastic resource in the classroom - it has some beautiful messages about how we communicate with people, some great discussion on letter writing which would be fantastic for creative writing, and the kind of repetitive action that children adore.
Thank you so much to Netgalley and publisher for a digital copy of this delightful audiobook.

This is a funny children's book about a man called Finn who has two mice living in his house. A professor tells him that if he writes a polite letter to the mice, they might find another place to live. He tries this many times, but did the mice take his advice? I enjoyed this book, which was quirky, fun and uplifting.

The audiobook narrator did a great job and was perfect for the story.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and Net Galley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The was a funny and entertaining little book for children. My granddaughters loved it! I had to get used to the narrators accent at first but then it really fit with the story.
Who would of thought to write letters to get mice to move! The thought of writing letters to mice really got my granddaughters laughing and entertained.

Mouse Problems? Professor Dunderbutt advises writing a polite letter to the mice suggesting a better place to live. If the first letter doesn't work, try again. And again. His method NEVER fails. But....the two mice in Finn's cottage are fussy. They expect indoor plumbing. A library. Raisin scones. Finn searches the Irish countryside for a house that will please his unwelcome guests. He writes polite letters. Will the professor's advice work?

Based on an Irish folk belief, Out, Mouse! is a humorous early chapter book for children 6-9. 13 chapters, 78 pages (print version). Recommend for children. Lovely audiobook

This is a short, sweet tale with a lyrical narrator, and I believe it would be very appealing to young children. I was a little worried that many of my students wouldn’t understand because of the thick accent, but I think you quickly can become attuned to the words because the voice actor speaks so clearly and slowly and really enunciates. I volunteer in a first grade class sometimes, and I can see the kids giggling while listening, and then smacking their heads at the end. Because this is an audiobook, I would love to ask the kids to make illustrations that they think could accompany the story. I think they would enjoy it, and come up with some imaginative pictures! I would also love to ask them to write a final letter from Finn, after he realizes that the mice have followed him, or to draw his face when he sees them at the new house.

What a nice children's tale that was! I'm sure younger children would find this very interesting and entertaining. "Out, Mouse!" is a story about Professor Dunderbutt, who has mice in his house. And how can he get rid of the mice? He writes them polite letters and suggests to them where they should go. But nothing is as easy as it first seems.

The narration is a bit different, but it suits the story, and I liked it. An excellent audiobook for children that will make them laugh.

Thanks to the publisher Whistle Oak for the opportunity to listen to this! All opinions are my own.

Funny story about a man who doesn't understand why the mice don't like the other living opportunities he proposes to them.
I had to get used to the narrator in the first chapter and liked him after that.

My daughter and I read this together, she is almost 8. We both thought it was funny and cute. I had never heard that you should write letters to get rid of mice! Next time I spot one I’ll have to try that 😂 there is an interesting bit about adding your own illustrations for kids and the end, but I would’ve liked the book to be illustrated. It is very simple to follow (easy enough for my 4 year old as well) but not terribly repetitive. The audio was easy to understand, and made a lovely companion to the book for when you want to read and follow along with the words or to listen before bedtime.

This was a really entertaining and fun story!
It's great for teaching persuasive writing whilst being enjoyable for both children and adults.
The narration was clear and engaging and I adored that the narrator did different voices for all the characters, had so much fun with this one and would definitely recommend it!
