Another tense and gripping story from this author, I have read all her previous books, all excellent and this one was just as good.
It was a great page turner, brilliantly addictive with great characters and I just loved every page.
I can definitely recommend this book a 5* plus read for me and thank you to Netgalley and Hera Books for giving me the opportunity to read it.
It took me a while to get into this one, but once I had it was a fast paced journey right the way through to the end. Packed full of suspense, nail biting angst & drama, this is one you definitely don't want to miss!

Gemma Adams & her handsome husband Nick have it all, or at least thats what it looks like from the outside looking in. When their newborn son Thomas is taken, she will stop at nothing to get him back!

This suspenseful book was so well written....I've never read anything by Ruby Speechley this was my first book! But it won't be my last! I loved her way of writing. Amazing!
Thank you NetGalley and Hera Books for this awesome advanced ebook!
Wow this book was amazing!! So many different stories all rolled into one. It does have elements of abuse and control so know that going into it. Definitely one to check out if you like the family, twisted, people get what they deserve in the end kind of book.

A fun read.
Gemma Adams, a happy wife, Online, people only see her picture-perfect home, her handsome husband, Nick, and her beautiful baby, Thomas. They donโt see the real Gemma Adams. They donโt see my past, the dark secrets Iโm hiding in my marriage. They donโt see the fear I live in every single day.
But she knows someone is watching her And now, theyโve taken Thomas. She just donโt know why. But she's going to stop at nothing to get her baby back.
Is she hiding something? Who took her baby and why?
I was wondering what would happen next. This is so addictive writing.
Definitely recommend it.
Thanks to NetGalley and Hera Books for giving me an advanced copy.
I wasnโt sure what to expect with this book but it absolutely was amazing. Tense and scary at parts. I couldnโt wait to find out the solution to this mystery.
I received The Face at the Window as part of a NetGalley giveaway.
Gemma Adams is determined to present to the world an Instagram-perfect life despite the deep instability at the heart of her marriage. When her newborn son Thomas disappears during a supermarket trip at the hands of one of her employees, she descends into a despair that must force her to confront dark truths about her life and relationship.
This was certainly a twisty novel one that I gobbled up in the course of a day. That said, for as gripping as it was, there are significant parts of the story I struggle with. First, I feel like Scarlett's participation in the kidnapping portion was handwaved away. She was certainly a victim, but she also seemed seriously unstable--at the very least, I certainly would have mandated serious therapy. Even her reasoning post-kidnapping was nonsensical ("Gemma knows I have him!" Yes, she thought you were watching him for a couple minutes while she paid for her groceries, not that you were going to disappear without a trace. Two VERY different things.). Additionally, the weird twist at the end concerning Scarlett's father seemed crammed in, arbitrary, and was impossible to resolve in any meaningful way. It was an interesting read, but not without flaws.
