I'm usually up for self help books, but this one I couldn't get passed the first chapter. It just wasn't for me

I *REALLY* loved this book! It's such a positive, uplifting message and came at a time when I really needed it. It's a great confidence booster and a brilliant reminder to recognize the powerful being that you, born for success.

A self-help book on boosting confidence and success, written with some personal background of the author as well. Thanks to the author, publisher, and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review.

This was a very well done and well rounded novel. I really enjoyed the characters and the development of the plot throughout.

This was the inspirational and motivational kick in the pants I needed. I AM kind of a big deal! Confidence is something I have struggled with throughout my life. I tend toward negative self-talk and self-criticism. This book helped me recognize the negative thought patterns and work to overcome them. I highly recommend this book.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. Erin's personality and writing style is very fun. She has some great motivational/inspirational stories to share. It's definitely a great female empowerment in life, but mostly in business, book. However, it started to fizzle out about halfway through for me. I kept reading because I did truly enjoy her personality. The beginning of the book hooked me with some awesome stories right out of the gate. But, halfway through it turned into fewer stories and more advice and opinion. The stories that support the advice and opinion are what keep me engaged, so I still think the book is great but it was just a bit less engaging for the second half.

If you're looking for an inspirational business book, then this is excellent. You might do better than me at reading the sections that turn into mostly advice. I'm here for the fun personal stories.

This book is the perfect cheerleader, and a great pick me up for anyone with lower self confidence. However, I did find it a little repetitive and relying on the same points three times throughout the book.

This book touts a lot of positivity punch with several tricks for women to be their best selves. While a lot of the information contained things I was used to reading in other self-help books, King's refreshing voice was lovely. However, it became repetitive in the contents and narrative. I certainly didn't dislike it, but it wouldn't be something I would re-read either.

I really enjoyed this book and it’s energy. A few errors/oversights made me feel like it could have been better proofread. ie. referring to a book of the bible which is a letter written *to* Timothy by Paul, not by Timothy.

Erin King's self-help book challenges readers (specifically female "girl" readers) to tape into their "BDE"-inner big deal energy and "unlock inner audacity" through a series of 9 chapters, anecdotes, analogies, and diary pages all presented with a perky, positive attitude that attempts to get the reader to just trust the author and everything she has to say.

Like many books of this genre, King's work strives to convince people to believe everything is possible if you just do a "simple" something that the author explains and provides positive examples of success. King is clearly a motivational speaker and attempts to be funny and relatable while telling readers to Be Brave and make mindset changes. While I didn't wholly dislike the presentation of the information, I did find most of the information common sense (and yes, I get some people just need the opportunity to hear/read "you can do it") and after a while a bit repetitive.

*This review slipped by and I did not realize I failed to post it here last year.
Thank you, publisher and NetGalley for the dARC of this work in exchange for my honest review.

I took my time with this book as I wanted to soak in every single page. Its such an uplifting read. This book challenged me to put my best foot forward as I begin this year. I loved the conversational, easy flow of the writing style which made me feel like I was talking to a friend (a wiser one). This indeed is a gem and I intend to use some of the lessons learned moving forward. What a relatable, inspiring read.

As self-help books go, this was one of the more interesting ones however it just wasn’t for me.
I wanted to give this a go because the cover and blurb had me intrigued but it wasn’t really my cup of tea! I’m sure those who do enjoy these style of books however will thoroughly enjoy.

this one didn’t really hit the mark with me unfortunately. i was really looking forward to it. I think because it was very journalistic and not very advice based. It would be good to use as a journal and prompts rather than advice.

I really enjoyed the anecdotes about the author and her friends and how they have grown their businesses or come up with the ideas for their businesses.

I really also like the idea of Big Deal Energy. However I did get a little frustrated in certain places where the information given seemed a little repetitive and plenty of it seemed common sense.

I enjoyed reading about her failures and successes however.

I absolutely loved this book! It really bigs you up, encourages you to take positive action in acknowledging your self-worth and it is basically like having the best cheerleader ever in a book!

I’m not usually one to pick up a non-fiction book, but this one had me excited from the get go! The way Erin writes makes it feel personable to the reader and the stories she tells shows a depiction of most people’s lives. I hope I can take some of this advice and use it in my every day life.

This book does the motivation speak by telling women they can achieve anything by being brave.

I loved the conversational tone since I am a big skeptic about self help books and don't normally go for them.

Charting out her problems and how she dealt with them was how the author tries to encourage the reader to do the same.

I do wish that part was shorter since you have to read through it to get to the advice. My kind of self help books - short.

Thank you netgalley for the ARC.
