I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Just perfection! I have loved every book in this series and after the end of book 2 I was so desperate to know what was going to happen next for Mandy, sadly like the end of book two I found her behaviour childish and irresponsible, crossing personal boundaries isn’t really good for a relationship. I also wasn’t keen that the author seems to think size 14 is fat, it was still an enjoyable read, but these things did affect my enjoyment , overall if I ignore these nitpicks it is a light and enjoyable read, but it could have easily been a strong 4 stars but due to the fact it did annoy me, it’s a 3 star read.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

The characters in the book are really likeable, easy to relate to and leave you wanting to hear more about them.
I am blown away by this book, as it was a lovely easy read, set in a beautiful setting. I know need to read the other books in this series.

The main character in this acts likes a teenager rather than someone who is almost 30 and runs a business.

I also was quite unimpressed that size 14 was described as fat in the book

I love this series as it's always fun to read and escapism at high level. This novel is no exception and I was happy to catch up with the characters.
It's heartwarming, uplifting and and engrossing: the perfect read for a summer afternoon.
The author is a good storyteller, the plot flows and the characters are fleshed out.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

This is the third book in the series but I found it very easy to read as a standalone. Its one of those cute summer reads that just lifts you up. With its beautiful setting and a great cast of characters I absolutely loved being transported here to this idyllic cafe and the people who go there. Set in Scotland it was a great escape read. I loved it

I absolutely love this series and I loved being back with these characters and the Birdie and Bramble. I'm always on the lookout for this series on here and was so glad to finally read the next chapter in Maddy's life.

This was a fun and light read, with a helpful reminder of what had happened previously at the beginning. I quickly fell back in to this world that Craig has created and felt like I was welcomed back but old friends.

There were a few strands of storyline that I felt could have been developed more but otherwise it was lovely to go back and honestly the food descriptions had me craving so many new meals! The details and descriptions in Craig's books are just amazing.

A perfect summer read! I'm hoping Craig write's more in this world as I could easily read about these characters for the rest of my life ahah!

Thank you to Orion Dash and NetGalley for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest opinion.

I did not realise this was part of a series until the end and so wanted to know more about lots of the characters and still do. So will need to read the previous books and hope there are more to follow.

This is a great feel good summer read. Not everything is straightforward and happy but the characters support each other and find ways through the issues, together. It will leave you wanting to visit the area, eat the food, meet the characters, view the paintings and to find out what happens next.

Ideal holiday reading, a gentle story with a happy ending, even the token grumpy character is reformed by the end.

As the sun starts to shine it's time for Maddy and the team at The Birdie & Bramble to make some changes, but will Maddy find the strength to stand up for what she wants and discover the true nature of friends, family and love?
This is a first for me by Alison Craig so thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me read this and it definitely will not be my last! I devoured it. I loved the theme, the characters and the twists and turns. I want to eat in the restaurant and the cafe. I want to see the artwork and the gardens. But most of all I really really want a slice of cake! A very easy read with enough of a story line to keep you interested without being convoluted. I would thoroughly recommend this book

🌿Community of characters oriented with a ribbon of romance running through🍽🍷

4-4.5🌟 stars
I had been hoping that Alison Craig would continue this cozy series and was happy to see the third book in the Birdie and Bramble series arrive. It started a bit slow for me but after the first few chapters the plot settled in and concentrated on the present; then I was really engaged.

Although the female lead restaurateur, her business and love life are at the heart of the plot there are numerous subplots for her friends and colleagues that held just as much appeal. The writing is easy to follow but there were some inconsistencies like the repeated change of a side character's first name from Adrian to Parker to Peter and back to Adrian.

Despite some editing misses, this is a good, feel-good story about a supportive clique of friends and significant others who work together to make their little corner of Scotland a colorful, tasty and friendly place. If they find career fulfillment and/or romance along the way, maybe even a new bundle of joy on the way, so much the better. Even the big villain of the first book in the series has turned a new leaf and joined the collective spirit!

I will gladly return to this series if author Alison Craig has a mind to continue it. I loved the setting, the collection of characters and the promising ending (no cliffhangers here) which I hope is a HFN and not an adieu from the series.

Thanks to Orion Dash and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

As a new day dawns, and the sun is shining. Maddy and her team decide to make some changes, will Maddy, have the courage to make a stand for what she’s wanting and find the true meaning of friends, family and love? Along with the changes she’s wanting to make, her friends are facing their own changes, will she be able to help them too?

I’ve read the first two books so could easily connect to the characters. This story is an enjoyable read and a lot happening in each of the chapters.

Recommend this series.

This is the third book in the Birdie and Bramble series. I have read and enjoyed the previous two books, but this can be read as a standalone book. The first few chapters has a recap of the previous books so you could quickly understand the storyline.
I love the location of the Birdie and Bramble, Scotland is a favourite place of mine and I think that it is a lovely setting for a book.
This is a nice read and it is good to find out what happens to Maddy. This is an easy and enjoyable book.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC.

Thoroughly enjoyed the life at the birdie and bramble, felt like I was one of their friends, loved the characters and of course Maddie, loved the description of st Andrews and the village where the birdie and bramble is located

Although the third in this series, this can still be read as a standalone novel. I had not read the previous books and yet I soon discovered who was who.
Any book that kicks off with a sausage making contest is right down my street and it gave the novel a nice, lighthearted start.
This really was a book that grew on me. A lovely sense of place throughout and I found every single one of the characters to be likeable, I felt like I was new to the area and had been accepted within a close knit group of friends.
Set in St Andrews, the soft Scottish tones of the easy-going dialect were a delight.
The story had little off-shoots and I guess my only quibble, is that I would have liked a few of these to have been further developed.
The novel is charmingly light-hearted. One particular line early on when the lead character had tied her dressing gown really tight, had me roaring with laughter.
Nicely tied up at the end, there is plenty of scope for further stories in this series.
This is an easy read, perfect for a summer holiday break and is sure to put a smile on your face.

Blue Skies at the Birdie and Bramble - Alison Craig

I received an advance review copy for free thanks to NetGalley and Orion Dash and I am leaving this review voluntarily

First of all, I must start my review by stating that I have not read the first two books in the series. Due to this being the third book I failed to connect with the characters, however this is still an enjoyable read. With a fast-pace and short chapters this book is a quick read.

Rating 4/5
