This is a great book by this author. I am a big fan of her work. I enjoyed the characters but some were unlikeable. It was a page turner

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Another great thriller by this author which was well written with an engaging plot, this author knows how to grab the reader from the first page and not let them go until the end!

Unfortunately this book was not for me. Other readers may enjoy it more, but I could not get into it and ultimately did not finish it.

I enjoyed this one but it’s not my favourite by this author. It was well written and had a lot of thrills and twists and turns but I found the ending predictable.

I really enjoyed this one!
I have read Koomson before a few times and really enjoyed them, but this is a cracker! I see Koomson as more of a literary fiction or womens fiction author- 'goodnight, beautiful' stayed with me for years!
However, this recent foray into the thriller genre has been fantastic! Well thought out characters and plot and constant guessing to keep the reader entertained. As usual, I did get mixed up with the characters and their partners but once I had that nailed, I loved this. Some characters were annoying, but that was the juiciness of it all, the author seriously knows how to make unlikeable characters immensely readable!

I Know What You’ve Done…a very ominous title and appropriately spooky 👻 This is classic Dorothy Koomosn, interweaving genuinely serious themes and stories into a genuinely thrilling plot. By “genuinely” I mean themes that aren’t just superficially realistic but themes that really resonate with you, that really make you sympathize with the character and maybe even relate to them, if you’re unfortunate enough to do so.

I Know What You’ve Done is a whodunnit of sorts, which also focuses on the challenges faced by a small community in Brighton (I’m pretty sure it’s Brighton anyway). We’ve got the busybody who is in everyone else’s business. One day she turns up bloody after a vicious attack and gives Rae her diary. It’s up to Rae to figure out who attacked her…the dirty secrets she discovers will rock her and her neighbors to their core.

I think Koomson is incredibly skilled at creating sympathetic characters who often have very unlikeable traits. Everyone is flawed in this story. There is no true good guy.

My only criticism is that I found the many different characters/ POVs very confusing at first. I literally just couldn’t grasp who was who! But once I got to grips with it, I was fucking following that bitch 😎

So excited that I have a whole world of Koomson to explore - bring on the next one!

I am a big fan of Dorothy Koomson's books and always look forward to a new release. I Know What You've Done is another great, addictive read that combines character development with a strong element of mystery.

The residents of Acacia Villa all have their own secrets. In this novel, we mainly focus on the perspective of Rae, who lives there with her family, but we also hear the story from other perspectives including Lilly, the ex-girlfriend of Rae's husband Clark, and - through diary entries - Priscilla, a nosy older resident who has collected a diary filled with the business of her neighbours. We also get inside the heads of some other residents too which gives us more background to the type of people Priscilla was keeping tabs on...

At the start of the novel we see Priscilla collapse and give her book of secrets to Rae, who then learns that her beloved husband Clark has a secret - as do others on their street. She has her own reasons for keeping their family's business to themselves, and soon it becomes clear that someone has attacked Priscilla. But who was it?

I loved the element of mystery in this novel, with the reader slowly learning more details through the narratives of different characters and plenty of revealing diary entries written by Priscilla. We start to learn more about Rae and her family, and what drove them to move to Brighton from London. At times we also know more than Rae, because we've found out details from other characters, so at times I wanted to shout at her to not do what she was doing!

I found this novel really entertaining and raced through it. As always with Dorothy Koomson's novels, it was well-plotted, entertaining and had characters I actually wanted to read about! Definitely recommended.

I really love Dorothy Koomson's writing so was eager to request this one when I saw it! Koomson has an amazing writing style that just draws you in and has you on the edge of your seat.

This one started off so good and I found myself flying through it until around the middle of the book where I just felt that the book slowed down and somewhat dragged. I'm gutted because I really did want to love this book.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the twists and turns that came with this book but I just wish the middle part had been cut down or had more suspense.

Although I didn't enjoy this book as much as I thought I would it was still a good book and recommend to fans of mystery/thrillers. A lot of people loved this book so I think that maybe the fact that I felt like it dragged might have been a 'me' issue.

When Priscilla ends up on Rae’s doorstep wildly rambling and then disappears to be found near death, the finger is pointed at so many residents of the street.
Priscilla had given Rae a diary which gives her an insight into all the street’s residents.
Focusing on a number of individuals this is quite dark and quite brutal in parts. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

I’ve read everyone of Dorothy’s books and loved them.
And this one didn’t disappoint.
It will have you gripped from page one and you’ll not want to put it down
Can’t wait for her next book
Thanks NetGalley

A great read from Dorothy Koomson. If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind closed doors in your neighbourhood this is for you. Rae’s neighbour Priscilla watches her neighbours and collects information on them so when she calls on Rae in a bad way can anyone solve what happened to her and why did she knock on Rae’s door? Not everyone is who they seem to be at Acacia Villas.

Another fantastically written, tense thriller

I really struggled to get into this book, I tried a few times but found it just wasn’t holding my attention. I’m sure I’ll try and finish it one day.

I normally love Dorothy Koomson, but I really didn’t get along with this one. The writing was good (although the constant references to ‘the events of 2020’ without saying covid did get very repetitive and felt very daft after a while), but the plot just felt very dragged out which made it feel quite dull and hard to engage with. There was a good twist at the end, but it was a long hard slog to get there, and so ultimately for me this was one that I just can’t recommend.

Disclaimer - I was fortunate enough to be provided with an advance reading copy of this book by NetGalley. This has not affected my review in any way, and all opinions are my own.

This is not one the best books by this author. I was a little bit disappointed. The plot looked promising but it was just executed very slowly. Parts of the book really dragged. The characters were described in too much details without giving them deeper roles. It was an easy read overall.

Another cracking novel from Dorothy Koomson. Nothing is ever quite as it seems and I love that it keeps you guessing right up to the end.

I’m a huge fan of Dorothy Koomson books and the latest release does not disappoint. Following her familiar style of writing, this is a must read.

Thank you to Netgalley, Headline & Dorothy Koomson for my arc of I Know What You Did, in exchange for an honest review.

A well-written book with some great believable characters. Great plot, with plenty of thrills. Recommended.

What if all your neighbours' secrets landed in a diary on your doorstep?
What if the woman who gave it to you was murdered by one of the people in the diary?
What if the police asked if you knew anything?
Would you hand over the book of secrets?

Thank you so much to the publisher for sending me a copy of this book. This has been on my radar since I heard that Dorothy was due to release another novel.
Again thank you to the amazing Claire for yet another enjoyable buddy read. Reading is always more fun when I read the books with Claire.

I recently read All My Lies are True by Dorothy, and although I enjoyed it, it was nowhere near as good as Ice Cream Girls, so I was a little cautious when I went into this novel.
I really didn’t need to be! This book is Dorothy at her finest once again!
In this book we are introduced to the residents of the upper market, Acacia Villas and their secrets and pasts.
The book was a page turner from the beginning and I raced through the book. I did not want to put it down.
There were a few theories passed between me and Claire when reading this book, but the thing that we both loved about the book is neither of us knew where it was going or what the outcome was going to be. I was taken back at the ending and how the novel developed, as at no point did I think it was going to end as it did.
This is a great domestic thriller and is one of the author’s best.
