"Labyrinth of Lies" is a Christian romantic suspense novel. It's the second book in a new series, but it works as a stand-alone novel. The main characters were engaging, complex people who reacted realistically to events. I cared about what happened to them. The suspense was created by the increasing level of physical danger to Cate and Zeke. They shared information that each found when investigating their different cases. They both still loved each other, but Zeke had to explain why he'd chosen undercover work over marriage to Cate in the past and rebuild her trust in him. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this enjoyable, exciting novel.

The latest from Irene Hannon takes us to the Ivy Hill school where two undercover agents find each other working different cases at the present but have a past that’s unresolved. Cate is working the disappearance of a student, while Zeke is trying to sort out a drug smuggling ring. As they work together to untangle the cases, sorting through the web of hurt in their past will also take time and trust.

If you’re a fan of Irene Hannon, this suspense filled story will hit the mark.

This book was a powerful book. At times, I was a little confused about who the characters were and how they related to the story but in the end it all came together for me. There is so much suspense in the story and a little bit of romance which is perfect for me. Zeke and Cate go undercover separately in a private boarding school in order to uncover illegal activities that are happening at the school. The amount of lies and twists and turns in the story kept me looking forward to the next page.

Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

Wow! Just Wow! This book had me guessing all the way through. Full of action and twists and turns it was hard to figure out who the villain was—there were more than one, but the leader, oh my.
I can’t imagine going undercover as a teenager, but that’s what Cate is asked to do. Little does she know soon her path will cross with her lost love Zeke whose undercover as a teacher with a different agency. What could go wrong? Absolutely anything.
When their attraction rises up in the midst of their case will they be able to keep their cover? Will their case be blown sky high?
This book has it all, romance, suspense, engaging characters, and faith. Who could ask for more?
I received a copy of this book courtesy of Baker Publishing Group. This is my honest opinion of the book.

Few books keep me reading past my bedtime, but Labyrinth of Lies kept me reading late into the night as I needed to see how it ended. This is the second in the series Triple Threat by Irene Hannon and the story of Reilly sister Cate, a detective in St. Louis. She is assigned a missing person case from a local private boarding school and goes in as an undercover student. Unknown to her, her ex-boyfriend Zeke Sloan is also undercover at the same school as part of a drug investigation.
It was good to get caught up with the Reilly sisters, but this book can be a stand alone. The romance is second to the mystery of who the drug lord is. I did suspect who the drug king was as Hannon leaves good tips, but the suspense made me want to keep reading. I recommend this to all Christian fiction lovers.
I received a copy of this book through NetGalley, but all opinions are my own.

Another page turner by Irene Hannon! What I loved about this story is that I didn't guess the villian of the piece. This is the second in a series called Triple threat". The basis of the series is that the heroines are sisters. The books work best read in order but it can be read as a stand alone easily.

I received this in exchange for an honest review. This is a book which I have already mentioned to others as a book worth reading. I like that Irene Hannon writes strong female characters and includes faith. Eagerly waiting for book 3!

This was an excellent romantic suspense novel from Irene Hannon. I enjoyed it more than the first in this series, though it was also good. This series follows 3 sisters. While this book can definitely be read as a stand-alone, the characters from the last book to make an appearance in this one, so if you're going to read them all, you should probably read them in order. This book follows middle sister Cate, who is a police detective. Though she has no interest in another undercover assignment, her sense of justice prevails when it becomes evident she's the only one who can take this assignment. When she comes across an old flame, also undercover in the same place, they have to learn how to work together as it becomes more evident that their cases might be connected.

One of my general pet peeves about romantic suspense is the speed of the romance. Damsel in distress needs big strong man to come to her aid. He does, they fall in love in approximately 2 days time and are married 2 months later. It makes me roll my eyes. This one was so different from that in that Cate is not a damsel in distress, and she and Zeke have some serious history. There is some pain that needs to be overcome, but since the love grew between them years ago, it simply rekindles when they reconnect (which likely would have happened even without the suspense element). Therefore the romance moved at a good speed. They were actually mostly mature about it as well and made sure to wait to talk about "them" until after their cases were solved. The plot line of the suspense element was fast paced and well plotted. I really enjoyed the story line. The characters were also likable and relatable. The faith thread was minimal, but present as well. All in all, this was an excellent read. With good character development, a well-paced romance, a good suspense story and a nice overall balance, this is one I'd strongly recommend to fans of romantic suspense.

Special thanks to Revell and NetGalley for an advance e-copy of this book. I was under no obligation to provide a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.

4.5 stars

Labyrinth of Lies was a great sequel to Point of Danger, although I did enjoy that book just a bit more.

It didn't take long before I was completely hooked by this story. I absolutely loved the suspense and undercover aspect. It was thrilling to continue to read and wonder what dangers the main characters might encounter. There were several moments that had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't read quickly enough.

I loved the characters. I always seem to enjoy second chance romance stories and this was no different. While the romance in this one was a little bit much at times for me, I still really enjoyed it overall. The ending was satisfying and I am eager to read the third book to see what happens next.

All in all, Labyrinth of Lies was a great romantic suspense novel and I definitely recommend it. I don't think you have to read the first book, but I encourage you to as it was amazing.
