In the shadow of Mount Hood, sixteen-year-old Tennant is checking rabbit traps with her eight-year-old sister Sophie when the girls are suddenly overcome by a strange vibration rising out of the forest, building in intensity until it sounds like a deafening crescendo of screams. From out of nowhere, their father sweeps them up and drops them through a trapdoor into a storm cellar. But the sound only gets worse . . .
I did enjoy this but I thought as JD Barker (of whom I am a huge fan) was a co author this would have been a more gripping story. It was good but not memorable as far as I am concerned. I found that I was not really attached to the characters but in saying that I did finish the book and would give it a three star rating. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of the book.

A suspenseful, disturbing thriller which will have you reading all night.

A different type of book from James Patterson usual fare, but still a great read.
