This is a very heartfelt and enjoyable debut romantic comedy. It left me with feel good, happy vibes! The one night stand to lovers storyline was fun and fresh. I love that it is set in Ireland, very few of the contemporary romances I've read have been set in Ireland. An Irish wedding is an ideal and rich setting for a rom-com!

This is a very classic rom com and slightly predictable, but fun nonetheless! Fast paced and well written, with plenty of fun moments. ⭐️⭐️⭐️.75 ⁣⠀

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the mixing of the story between the USA and Ireland. There was a lot of emotional baggage going in in Sarah’s head, which she resolved in the end.

One night stands turning into something meaningful, something long-lasting, especially unexpectedly when the two bump into each other at a wedding sounds entertaining and this debut romcom does deliver. Pulled down by the emotional baggage of past relationships, the two main characters don't want to fall too fast despite the undeniable chemistry and the memories of that one magical night. The angst of it all is visible through all the banter that keeps the reader engaged, and the growth of characterization is unmissable. Maybe the self-sabotaging attitude of the characters is sometimes frustrating but viewing it as a needed conflict can help one enjoy this more. Anyway, this is fun and flirty quick read.

What can I say? I had a blast reading “One Night Only”! Admittedly, it first took me a while to get into the story and the main character’s point of view, however, once we arrived in Ireland (yes!!) and I was somewhat familiar with the characters and dynamics, I really enjoyed the book. Even though I had a rather rocky start with main character Sarah and the story sometimes felt repeatedly unnecessarily dragged out on her part, I was very pleasantly surprised by the development both characters underwent eventually. The dialogues were by far the best part – witty and smart, they definitely had me giggling a few times and delivered the chemistry between the two very well. Overall, the author managed to find a good balance between love story, side characters and friendships, and work related storylines.

Despite a few shortcomings in plot and pace, this debut novel was a very entertaining read and I am definitely going to keep an eye open for following books by Catherine Walsh!

I really really loved One Night Only. It made me laugh a lot, which I adore in books!
I finished this book in 3 days, which was fairly quickly as I was in a reading slump at the time. The pacing and the writing were just my cup of tea. I also really liked the characters. They were so realistic and real. I felt a lot of empathy towards both Sarah and Declan.
I definitely recommend this one if you’re looking for a cute and fluffy read!

After Sarah kicks her one night stand out of her house the following morning, she is appalled to find that he is not going to be out of her life as easily as she had envisaged and is actually quite an important part of her best friend’s wedding.
Which means she is forced to spend more and more time with Declan, allowing their dry wit and banter to come into its own.

It turns out Declan is not the one-night stand kind of guy that Sarah had mistaken him for, lots of will they- wont they tension.

This book was a hilarious rom-com and I loved the awkwardness of the characters keep having to spend time together.

One Night Only has all the fun you would expect from a good rom-com - including great characters, loving families and a location location location.

Sarah and Declan have a chance meeting at a bar, one night together and then part ways- or so they thought? Soon they are thrust together at an international wedding and then all sorts of chaos and complications occur all leading to a solid ending.

It was a quick read, with tons of fun and great characters

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

One Night Only was a pretty cute romcom. In it, you will meet Sarah and Declan. She's 31 and dusting off her one night stand skills due to a wedding coming up. Her best friend Annie's wedding to be exact. While she's off to Ireland to be the best maid of honor anyone has ever seen, well, she runs into one of her one night stands.

Enter Declan. The groom's brother, the best freaking man, and honestly - her worst nightmare. Let the chaos unfold ladies and gents! To make things even juicier, his mom tries to set them up. It was like the angels sighing on them from up above. Cupid aimed his arrows just right.

I was in love. They were trying very hard to not be in love. I was here for it all. Everyone had their funny moments but Annie and Mary take the cake. I loved how crazy they were because they were just being themselves. Then there's everyone else and I just fell in love with the entire book.

In the end, it was very hard to put down and I'm so very happy that I got the chance to dive into this little gem. I need more destination wedding romcom books in my future.

This was a DNF, it felt a bit slow and repetitive but I think some people may love it, it wasn’t my style and trope.

One Night Only is a funny Rom-Com about a running into your last one-night stand in an entire different county.

Declan and Sarah had tons of chemistry that made this book into the Rom-com it is. It is full of laugh out loud moments that reel you in til the end.

**Thank you NetGalley and Booktoure for my ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

One Night Only is a delightful, hilarious debut rom-com. The story stars Sarah Anderson, who lives in New York and works as an architect. She is a strong woman who, after getting hurt by her ex-boyfriend of one year, only allows first dates.

The book starts with Sarah kicking an unnamed man out of her apartment after a one night stand. She leaves NYC to go to her best friend’s wedding in Ireland, where she is the maid of honor. Much to her surprise, who is the groom’s brother? Declan, her one night stand. There’s great romantic tension and the looming question of whether this one night stand will develop into anything more.

Sarah, Declan and all of the side characters were so well developed. The plot was fun and well written. I loved the book and totally devoured it. I stayed up way too late reading it because I just had to see how it ended.

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

Catherine Walsh writes a lovely debut romance with One Night Only.

When Sarah Anderson went overseas to be her best friend’s maid of honor at her Irish wedding she never expected the groom’s brother and best man would be her latest one-night stand. It’s a bit embarrassing but mostly worrisome as she second guesses her One Night Only rule once they’re back in New York.

The writing was solid and fresh and was impressed this is the author’s first book. I was keen to read about Sarah’s adventures in Ireland. Yet I found myself frustrated and losing my patience with Sarah’s abrasive personality and missing the hero’s point of view.

Because of this, I couldn’t fully connect with the main characters and their push and pull relationship. I did however, enjoy the supporting characters’ banter which had me laughing continuously.

One Night Only is standalone romance by Catherine Walsh. It is told from the heroine’s point of view with a happy ending.

This book was a cosy read in the way of all good romcoms. A laugh here, a giggle there and it is all fun. Lovely read, and one totally recommendable!

Sarah is a one night only girl. After poor relationships in the past, both hers and others, she’s given up on finding love, and she’s perfectly happy with life the way it is. But when her one night stand is the best man at her finest friends wedding half way around the world, it turns into a two night stand, and maybe that’s too much for one night stand Sarah.

I really enjoyed he chemistry between Declan and Sarah. It felt true and real and their issues were real as well. I find some rom-com books too cheesy and over the top but his wasn’t one of them. These were true feelings I would have had, or in fact have had before.

It was lovely to watch them try to navigate their pasts and create a future.
