Glitter was a regency romance with a touch of comedy. A unique blend of Ms Glines style with the traditional narrative of a historical romance.

I would definitely read more from this author.

This was a great read, the wait for this book was long, but it was so worth it. Lies, secrets, heart ache, lots of love and passion also.

This is a bit different from other Abbi books. This is time where young women are sent to balls in the hopes of finding a well-to-do husband. Miriam did not want to marry, but it was what she had to do. Miriam was a bit of a diamond in the rough, oh she was beautiful, but unlike the other demure young ladies, Miriam didn't shy away or flirt, she was blunt and honest. I adore the Miriam character, I believe her and I could be great friends.
This story had many emotions triggered for me. Anger towards the childhood of Miriam. Respect for what she was willing give up. Heartache for Whitney and for Miriam (towards the end). I absolutely adore the final few pages. All the questions were answered. The heartbreaking Compton's where explained. It has a fitting happily ever after. Any Abbi Glines fan will luv this book. Any romance fan would luv this book!

I love that Abbi Glines really tried something outside of what she's known for--you can tell that she respects the historical romance genre in the way that she attempts writing it in Glitter. Parts of it worked for me and parts of it just felt like it was trying too hard. Overall, I appreciated the effort but it wasn't my favorite Glines novel.

Glitter by Abbi Glines is not your typical historical romance and I enjoyed it all the more! The characters are perfectly flawed. The chemistry is palpable. Loved it!

Late getting this review posted, but this book was a refreshingly fresh take on the standard Ton novel. The characters were unique and Glines provided a satisfyingly, quick read. If you are a fan of non-cookie cutter Regencies--Glitter is totally worth your time.

So I walked into this a huge Abbi Glines fan--I think I've read just about every series she's released...did I know what to expect in this venture to dabble in regency romance? No way. The most regency I've gotten are the classics. Did I absolutely love this take on it? Definitely. Maybe because we're fresh off the heels of bingeing Bridgerton on Netflix but this takes you through the drama, the romance, the scandals, the feelings--ohhhh the feelings.

So Miriam is this fantastic heroine who is willing to give up anything and everything for her younger sister's well-being and happiness in life. A very noble, non-sensical girl, she's not your average, tame society girl. A breath of fresh air with the striking beauty to pack a punch. Add this to your battling brothers, the broody Hugh and charming Nathanial, who both fall for her and you've got the right amount of drama, emotional intensity and all the swoony Mr. Darcy moments.

I loved the writing, it was very time-period-esque but not so much that you it would make it hard for a first timer to get through. The only thing I didn't love was how rushed the ending felt. Maybe because I was hoping it would draw on a lot longer but it didn't and ended too abruptly for my liking! Overall, a must read this summer!

An absolutely enchanting story that will make you fall in love with historical romance. Abby Glines does a magnificent job of transporting you back in time as Miriam does everything she can to save her family. An absolute must read.

First, Abbi Glines is amazing. I have read everything she has ever published so reading Glitter was a must! I personally have not read a lot of Regency Romance before, but that being said, I absolutely loved it! Abbi's ability to write in first person made this book so beautifully unique. Major keep points to take away from this book: love triangle, strong heroine, and a beautiful twist with our hero. Miriam is determined and loves her sister so incredibly much that she is willing to marry well to ensure her dear sister's well being. She is very admirable, and I absolutely loved her character. Nicholas and Lord Ashington are both very liked by the ladies, and Miriam is able to find out exactly why throughout her journey!

Unfortunately, this book wasn't for me and my tastes. This truly is a case of ‘It's not you, it's me’. I'm just not a big fan of historical romances. I thought, because of the author, I may end up liking this one. But I didn't, and I'm genuinely sorry to rate it this low.

This was different from the other Abbi Glines books I've read, but still solid. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't my favorite.

I liked this story. The writing was good. However, the set up in the beginning took to long. I felt like it took forever for the H and H to finally get together.

Glitter by Abbi Glines is a time peice romance.

If you are a fan of Pride and Prejudice, or Bridgerton, then Glitter is the book for you.

Glitter was a slow burn, YA romance.
It's was fascinating to read, and fully recommend.

Having read and enjoyed books by Abbi Glines I was worried that a slight genre switch was going to leave me disappointed. However, I needn't have worried as this was a great historical romance that was a real page turner and the characters were all so vivid and engaging that I raced through the book I was sad to be at the end!
A definite must for fans of Bridgerton and the like and don't expect it to feel to heavy on the history, this is all about these fabulous people and how they feel.

I wanted to like this book so badly. The story was just too all over the place for me, and the author kept repeating things.

I can not recommend this book enough! I read Glitter in one day. This romance book is one of best books of 2021.. I appreciate net gallery and selected publishers for this early copy

this was such an amazing book to read. i loved that it was a historical romance. it was light, had so many fulfilling moments between both characters and you couldnt help but love all of them.
