I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Gosh, You could say I'm devastated, and even that is an understatement. After finishing this book, I'm torn between being happy with how it concluded and sad. This one must be read in one session because it is so emotionally intense.
I will say that I appreciate the dual points of view and the fact that the story is primarily from the perspective of the guy who is torn between two loves rather than the girl specifically. Without a doubt, Chloe is still struggling with her relationship with Will in the past.
I firmly think that a person can experience two loves, and even as I write this review a day later, my ex-lover is still tormenting me. Even though I have the ending in my head in a different manner, I will admit that I do adore that it is more realistic to match real-life relationships in the end.
I think Fail to Fight may have destroyed me, so I'm hoping Fail to Love leaves me, shall we say, in a loving disposition. Although I'm certain that tale will make us cringe a few times. This author has a fan who will read all of her other books after reading this one, even though this is her first novel. emotional and frantic...you might just need that shot of tequila after completing this novel, and that's only a mild way to describe the love moments.

Unfortunately, this didn’t really click with me! I found I had some issues with the pacing of this novel and I wasn’t really invested in the narrative or any of the characters.

Fail to fight is Chole and Will's 2nd chance romance who was ready to get married and something awful was happening. This narrative begins in the past with the beginning and what happens. 10 years later, today, how they can overcome each other and how one night everything can change.

So let me tell this story to have a hard time. When a couple of times, I nearly DNF. I didn't because I did not want to conclude it with an eArc
After what happened in the past, she gave him a breath and everything was wonderful, I couldn't get behind any of these stories. I all hope he won't tell you how it will finish again. I have to say all I have to say.
I won't continue this narrative. It was a huge fat nay. It's only a no.

Thank you NetGaley in return for my honest review for giving me an early copy!

Fail to Fight is a 2nd chance romance about Chole and Will who was about to get married and something horrible happen and Will Ran and hasn't see Chole in 10 years. This story starts in the past talking about the start of the relationship and what happen. To present day 10 years later how they cant get over each other and how one night could change everything.

So let me say I had a hard time with this story. I almost DNF if a few times. I didnt because I had gotten a eArc and didnt not want to finish it.
I cant say anything about this book without giving away spoilers. So here is your warning!!!

<spoiler>
Lets start from the beginning I feel like it wasn't fully explained why she strayed with one of his best friends and why his friends would go after her. AND why he would do it in the further with his wife but actually getting her pregnant. But Will finds out that they kissed and maybe sleep together so instead of talking to her or him he hit her. and not just in smacked her hit or to the point of putting her into the hospital. They didnt go into details but I dont need them. Once I knew he hit her I was OVER it.

Then we go into the present time line and he just cant let her go after 10 years and not talking to her and did I mention he is married soon after he left? No well he is they are all of a sudden having problems he left her hasnt talked t0 her and she told him not to come back until he sees chole.

Okay fine we will go with it. He calls her and finally she answers she is upset but agrees to meet up with him. He arrives after her and she's talking to a guy so he gets mad and stands her up. Then followers her home tells her he's made she was with another guy AFTER 10 YEARS. But no matter she has been pinning for him all this time as well and she lets him in explains he was just a guy she meet while waiting for him then he says I'm sorry she accepts and then they spend the night having sex. she has closure and can move on and she leaves him and he tracks her down again and tells her he isn't letting her go he's leaving his wife for her he loves her she gets so happy says yes and he goes to end almost 10 yr marriage and finds out she had a baby with Jamie from 10 years ago. I'm guessing he did it to fuck with him. Whatever long story short he moves to Choles town and buys a penthouse for them and they start there happily ever after..... </spoiler>

If you read my spoilers I break it down for you. but I couldn't get behind any of this story after what happen in the past she forgave him in a breath and everything was great. All I have to say I hope he doesn't do it again no telling how it will end for you.

This was a big fat no and I will no be continuing this story. It was just a no.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with an early copy in exchange for my honest review!

I really enjoyed this story, it wasn’t your typical romance storyline which I found refreshing. One massive mistake caused by a huge misunderstanding leaves a young couple broken hearted and separated for years. This story took a look at true love and how sometimes we are either meant to be or maybe everything does happen for a reason!
I love a little steam in my romance and Maci certainly delivered! Looking forward to reading the next book about Raven!

Okay, I don't totally know where to begin. I thought the book was a little too all over the place and I honestly found it confusing. I didn't really understand the positions of either of main characters and it didn't come together until a little too late in the book. I was really in a romance mood but this was just blah.

There are some aspects of this book that are really engaging and sucked me in but overall, I never was able to get past what Will did. The why was never really was explained very well and it was obviously pretty devastating and physically damaging. That’s more, to me, than an accident or mistake even if he was sorry it happened. I also do not understand why Chloe wasn’t honest with him about what else happened after he left. That seems like an issue? It was definitely important info. In many ways their story was passionate and interesting but I was stuck on those two issues.

A big thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This was not a book that I liked very much. I wanted to like Will but I don't know something felt messed up. I wouldn't have taken him back. He didn't even care enough about Chloe to ensure she was ok in the past. He just walked away. This is barely a 3 for me.

I just finished reading "Fail to Fight" by Maci Dillon. It is not my usual go to genre of book. I prefer mystery thrillers over romance but I thought I would give it a try. I want to thank Net Galley for a copy of the book and congratulate the author on what I believe is her first book.
This book is about unrequited love and the need to get closure on a relationship gone bad. It has been ten years since Chloe and Will broke up and they both have trouble forgetting eachother. They meet up for one last time to see if they can get closure on what happened between them and..... read the book to find out what happened. This is obviously turning into a series, and it was clear when other characters came into the scene. So if you like this book, then there will be others of the same writing style
Like I said, this is not my usual genre of book, so I was a little surprised, first by the strong language, and second by the way the main character was referred to by her ex lover. She was referred to as "little one", which to me does not sit right. I appreciate the passion and lust, but I wasn't completely convinced. I also didn't like that Will is filthy rich, and Chloe is so young. This type of story line seems somewhat overdone. I couldn't reconcile what Will did to Chloe to break them up, and therefore, thought that their love is more lust and codependence than anything. The ending was too quick and easy. Without giving too much away, there could have been much more drama with his ex-wife and his ex-friend which would have made this a more compelling read.
All in all, it was short and entertainig enought, but not my cup of tea.

This book was a hard no for me. The characters were unrealistic most times and just a pain to follow. A decade and a wife? Come on.

First Love - Second Chances.

***SPOILERS***

I really loved this book! I specifically fell in love with Chloe and Will's initial relationship which seemed loving and spicy. However, I struggle to get passed the fact that Will literally physically abused Chloe and how she never even contemplated not being with him over it. No matter what Chloe did, she never deserved to be physically abused. I think it may have been better if he had pushed her and she lost consciousness due to an accident like hitting her head after the push, rather than literally being punched by her fiancee. Also, I disliked that Will married someone else so quickly. Other than that, the book was amazing. It had me on the verge of tears in several spots and I was definitely still rooting for Chloe and Will to get back together. Additionally, the sex scenes were very interesting and not cringey like you sometimes see. I was hoping to see more of Will and Chloe's relationship at the end. I would love a second book with them!

I struggled with this book but persevered, the early relationship between Chloe and Will was overrated, if he loved her so much, why react as he did, marry someone else, then wait ten years and only when nudged by his wife get back in touch with Chloe. Not even a phone call to check on her care after leaving her in an unconscious state, yet go full on when they did meet.. Not a book for me.

A fast-paced, gripping and thoroughly amazing second chance romance with lots of emotions; be prepared to be laughing out loud and some ugly crying too.

Chloe and Will were destined to live happily ever after until Will knocked her right out, sending her to hospital. A two year restraining order prohibits Will from making contact with Chloe.

They both get on with their lives and on the surface everything seems to be fine, but the reality is different. As so many times in life, communication is key and ten years later they finally have their chance to talk...

... and some steamy sex.
