Swim right into this colorful, informative book and discover the fascinating world of coral reefs. I’m a bit prejudiced because coral reefs are my favorite places on the planet. Anyone can be enraptured by turning the gorgeous double spread pages of Erin Spencer’s book with illustrations by Alexandria Neonakis. You will sink into an exiting and diverse world swirling with different animals. By exploring the reef you will learn how they are made, grow, what lives there, and sadly, how they die. You will also find out what we can do to save them. The book has a glossary and a bonus section on, ways you can get more information. An excellent book for inquiring minds of most any age. Get the children learning about the ocean, its creatures and all the wonders it holds.

They can then appreciate the diversity in the waters of our oceans and learn to be more respectful of our environmental climate and the nature and creatures it supports..

The World of Coral Reefs is a fantastic book with so much interesting information and facts that I as an adult learnt alot from it. I also read it to my 4 year old son who is younger than the target audience for this book but he loved it. He really loves the oceans and seas in general and found this book fascinating and we have gone on to have further conversations about Coral Reefs.
The illustrations in the book are also fantastic as they are so colourful and striking.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my ARC.

The World of Coral Reefs was a informative and inviting in its approach to explaining coral reefs to the reader. I loved how the author broke down every detail about coral reefs, including, but not limited too, where they are found in the world, what animals inhabit them, and the different types. The pictures make this book accessible to all readers. I learned a great deal about coral reefs from this book. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

This is one of the best books I have read about the ocean and the wonderful beings who live there. This book specifically looks at coral and coral reefs, but it also shows other sea creatures too and how they relate to the coral. The book is superb, with amazing graphics and it is very educational, so it would be perfect in a school library. My daughter and I read this book together and we both loved it. I highly recommend this book for any adult or child. It is suitable for all ages and it is packed with a lot of interesting information, which is easy to read and absorb, due to the layout of the book. At the end of the book, it showed a link for Monterey Bay Aquarium live cams, so we had a look at them and they were very interesting.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and Net Galley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

In the World of Coral Reefs, you can get an up close and personal look at the different marine life and items that can make up a coral reef. Additionally, you can learn what damages a reef, and what you can do to help maintain and promote better growth of the coral reefs.

I enjoyed reading through this book. The images were stunning, and the information provided was not hard to understand, giving kids a better idea of what can help or hurt a coral reef.

This book, The World of Coral Reefs, will be an excellent addition to my non-fiction section in the classroom library. The details and diagrams are very good and appropriate for a third/fourth grade classroom. There's plenty of information for students to learn and the diagrams help them with comprehension of the material. Not to mention the fact the this book has all of the non-fiction elements we teach: ToC, Glossary, diagrams, headings, etc. Well done on this one!

In lower elementary school, most kids, if not all, are very enthusiastic marine biologists, marine creature enthusiasts and oceanographers. They want to make their mark, save the planet and the ocean. What a perfect book to increase their background knowledge about the role of coral reefs in conserving our oceans. This book is a must read for all school kids.

This book is not only full of colorful realistic illustrations, but it also contains information about the coral reef. I really enjoyed the creation story from Hawaii. The order of this information is key, and I think it is laid out nicely. Covering all the background information before getting into how the reef helps people and some of the challenges the reef now faces is a wonderful lead in to how everything is connected and how science is helping the reef. This might inspire some people to get involved and take action. I can't wait to see this book in person.

Bella (7) really enjoyed this book, she was able to read it independently and found it easy to follow and engaging. She would recommend to her friends!

This is such a fun and beautiful book, it’s digital format does not do it justice, the formatting of the text and images is garbled and doesn’t make for a good reading experience visually. I’d love the physical copy because I think it’s so important to have books like this that teach us about the ocean and it’s inhabitants. Really informative and lovely. The language is easy to follow along with and has just the right amount of science.

I have been looking for a good reference book on coral reefs for my class for a while now and this certainly ticks all the boxes. It is packed with loads of information about coral reefs and the underwater life that depends on them. It also has a strong environmental message telling the children how important coral reefs are and how easily they are being damaged. The illustrations are brilliantly clear and complement the text beautifully. I am really looking forward to being able to buy a copy of this when it is actually published.
Thank you Net Galley and Storey Publishing for letting me read this in exchange for an honest review.

The World of Coral Reefs is a beautifully illustrated reference book for children. Each section provides facts and anecdotes about reefs, their importance, and place in the world's ecosystems. This would be wonderful for children in early elementary school.

This is the kind of book that my children will pick up again and again: it contains beautiful, colourful illustrations, clear graphics, and a wealth of information about the world’s coral reefs.

The book covers topics such as the types of reefs and corals, the different creatures who make their homes on coral reefs, and how humans benefit from reefs. It shows how the coral reef exists as a balanced ecosystem, and addresses the environmental threats faced by reefs due to pollution and climate change. It’s a book that should be on the shelves of any young nature!

Thanks to NetGalley and Storey Publishing for the eARC of this beautiful book.

Thank you to #NetGalley for the Ebook ARC of The World of Coral.

I love books that allow me to learn as I read. The World of Coral Reefs is a wonderful nonfiction work about the coral reefs from creation, purpose, animals that live in the reefs, and how we can save them. This work covers it all. In many ways, it made me want to hop a plane for the nearest reef. Great information highlighted with wonderful illustrations. I highly recommend this book and will most likely purchase copies for my nieces and nephews.

My children have been obsessed with the ocean and all of its inhabitants since they were toddlers, so when I saw this book I knew I had to get it. We read it together and they were completely enthralled. I loved how the book covered ways to help the ocean from your home, and the kids have already started implementing the ideas. Such a great book with great illustrations and the perfect amount of information!

Thanks for the ARC @netgalley!
