This is a gripping finale to the Sacramento series of books by Karen Rose!
The storylines were exciting and substantial, full of twists and brilliant, well crafted and sometimes creepy characters.

The final part of a sensational series this book did not disappoint. In typical Karen Rose style along with the tension, there is romance, family values and even humour. I have been waiting impatiently to see the evil cult with its narcissistic, megalomaniac pastor brought down but I'm now a little sad that the series has ended. Please, Karen, give us more of the extended Sokolov family along with the recipe for Liza's caramel dream bars. Can't wait for your next book.

Another absolutely amazing piece of writing from Karen.

I couldn’t put it down.

I’ve read all her books and find it so easy to follow the characters on they journey through life.

This book is a beautiful ending to a series.

I’ve anticipated this book since it’s announcement and now I’m set for the year!

Wonderful book Karen, you’ve outshined again!

I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the third book in the Sacramento series, and I am so happy that I was given a chance to read this one before pub day.

Karen Rose is an absolute favourite of mine and I have all her books and have re-read them many times. Each year it’s torture waiting for the next instalment – I need to know what is going on with my favourite fictional family!

All my KR reviews mention the fact that the thing that draws me in and keeps me in, is the massively complex and lovely family/friends web that she has created. The books are all intertwined throughout various families, and link to one another in some way. This new book is no exception – while being the third in the sub series for Sacramento – we go back to some favourites from earlier sub series' too.

SAY GOODBYE is Tom Hunter’s story. Tom Hunter from book one – DON’T TELL – way back when. We were introduced to him as a terrified young boy, on the run from his violent father, with his abused mother, and ending up being rescued by Max Hunter and Dana Dupinsky. SAY GOODBYE completes his storyline with Liza, his best friend of 7 years and the woman he’s loved since he met her all those years ago. She was only 17 and he 20 when they met so of course a relationship was off limits, but now they are much older, wiser and desperately in love with each other – even if neither of them know it!

The writing is fast paced, there is a lot of action, as with all KR’s books. The bad guy is really bad and from a cult called Eden. Eden has been the focus of the previous two in the series, where Mercy and Gideon escaped and we had their stories. It’s all resolved in this one and the ending is fab. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to tie it all up.

Congratulations KR on another fantastic instalment, and I am already anticipating the next… Who’s story will it be??

Do yourself a favour and pick this one up if you want action, love, family and friendship bonds like no other, and generally a heart stopping thrill ride. A bit softer on the steam this time, but it’s still there simmering away in the background. You’ll be swept up in the group dynamics and just want to be a part of this huge family KR has created.

Can’t recommend this more. Go read it. And also read all her others, in any order, but I’d recommend in order.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for inviting me to read this ARC.

Wow, I have been really looking forward to this book since finishing the previous one in the series. Did it live up to my expectations - mostly. Karen Rose certainly knows how to write a cracker of a read. I love her writing style, how her books always flow and come together so well and that the story is told through the perspectives of the different characters. She excels at this and this read is no different. There is such a lot going on in this book - you really need to read the series in order so you know of previous events, I don’t think this book can be read on it’s own. Without giving too much away there is a lot of info about Eden, how it is run, its purpose, the main characters from it and their end game. All while FBI are trying to locate it. The book was fast paced, action packed and had me on the edge of my seat at times. It raced to a very satisfying conclusion tying up all loose ends. My only gripe is that I felt Tom and Liza’s story took more of a back seat when compared to everything else going on in this book, and I would have liked their characters to have had a bigger presence here. I loved the return of the characters from the two previous books, the new ones introduced and the little glimpses of characters from other series. All in all this was still a fab read, this author never disappoints and I look forward to what she comes up with next.
