I really love this authors writing a lot and have not read a book of hers in a few years. This book was awesome. It was hot, fun and had a really orginal plot and I adored Liam and Trudy. At first Liam is such a jerk to Trudy but as soon as we get in his head we find out why and it was a really awesome reason. Yes they have sorta history. I don't want to spoil too much but this story was so much fun I could not put it down.

I have read quite a few books from author Abigail Strom and liked them very much. Her latest offering, True, is an entertaining narrative with a plot that is most definitely replete with originality. If you enjoy the idea of space travel combined with some sizzling romance, then this book is for you.

Both Trudy and Liam work for NASA. Trudy is a talented public affairs officer and Liam is an adventurous astronaut. Trudy is a NASA newbie and is looking forward to a long and prosperous career. Liam can't wait to return to space. They share an amazing sexual chemistry that cannot be denied. Unfortunately, Liam is harboring an old secret that has the potential to ruin their blooming relationship. As they get to know each other, they fall into lust and love.

I enjoyed this book. As Trudy and Liam evolve their relationship, they slowly let go of their insecurities and realize that loving each other is what they need for a happy life. Overall, this is a well written romance with great characters and an engaging plot.

I haven’t read an Abigail Strom book in a bit, but I always love her stories. This one is no exception. Trudy and Liam stole my heart.

I’m not a fan of one main character keeping a secret from the other. I have to admit, in this story the secret Liam keeps makes sense at first. Even later, I totally understood why he kept the information to himself. Trudy was adamant that they keep thing professional, that she doesn’t date coworkers, that she has no desire to even be more friendly than work/professional friends. Of course, with the connection these two have, things don’t stay that way. By the time Liam realizes he has to come clean, it’s too late for Liam to get a jump on things.

The premise the author used in this story is quite interesting. While the author didn’t do a deep dive on astronauts and NASA, she peppered little factoids throughout that kept things fun. The history of both Trudy and Liam really added a lot to this story. They both have their own demons and family issues to deal with. They’ve always dealt with such things on their own. Neither really confide in others, preferring to deal with things themselves. That makes it hard to open up to each other and accept that they can lean on the other.

Once Liam and Trudy start to better understand themselves, they can better admit what they really want and need in their lives. There is a lot happening with them both toward the end of this story. Things they both needed to do in order to have their eyes opened. Once they stop lying to themselves, it’s a beautiful thing.

Trudy and Liam work together at NASA- Liam is an astronaut and Trudy a public relations officer. This is a good slow burn office romance...Trudy doesn't realize that Liam actually has been thinking of her for quite some time. They discover that they have much in common in terms of family background and sibling relationships. There's great pining and longing. The "relationship problem" moment is a bit predictable, but still- those looking for romances especially in STEM fields will enjoy this one.

I have a list of authors whose new releases I keep an eye out for. Abigail Strom went on that list when I read Show Me back in 2018 - a book that went on my Best Books of 2018 list. So I was really excited to finally see a new book from her on NetGalley last month! But my excitement was kinda short lived.

Trudy has finally landed her dream job as a public affairs officer for NASA. When she gets paired with astronaut Liam for a project narrating a documentary, she’s equal parts excited and nervous. Especially since Liam seems to dislike her for some reason - even though they’ve only ever exchanged pleasantries.

Liam isn’t happy about his new assignment and even less so about who he will be working with. And it’s not that he doesn’t like Trudy, but he has his reasons for being unfriendly towards her. But the more time he spends with her and realizes they share common family issues, the more he can’t deny his feelings for her.

The writing in this book is the same excellent writing I enjoyed in Ms. Strom’s Me series, with great dialogue and witty banter. It was great to see Trudy and Liam’s relationship develop organically as they work together to prepare for their project and then travel to Mexico to record the documentary. I didn’t even mind Trudy’s minor overreactions to Liam’s missteps (of which there were several).

But what left me wanting more in this story is the last part of the book. They’ve had another of their miscommunication issues, Trudy has pushed Liam away...again...and they aren’t talking when Liam gets chosen to go on a months-long mission to the International Space Station. And we get nothing about them during that time while he's away. One chapter Liam is heading into space and the next chapter is a couple months later, right before he’s supposed to return to earth. When Liam makes it back to earth Trudy has worked out all her issues in her head (we’re left to assume...since it didn’t appear they had any communication whatsoever while they were separated) and they have their happily ever after.

It seemed like so much of the book was building, building, building to something big. But then nothing really all that big happened.

Still, the writing was good, I liked the characters. The bones of the storyline were good. I just had high expectations and wanted more. I will absolutely watch for more Abigail Strom books. But this story was just okay to me.

A past she doesn't know about.

OMG, I immediately got sucked into this book?
Why? Because at first, Liam is such a jerk to Trudy. But as soon as we get into Liam's POV, you just have to fall for him. Yes, he's the by the book astronaut with a military background. He's focused but lacks PR skills. Oh, and he''s mad about Trudy. From like, way back. He started a chain reaction that may or may not have led to a scar that marks her face.

Trudy is his opposite, rumpled, good at communication (its her job). They truly are opposites but are working together on a Nova project in Mexico. There's so many good things to love about this book: Nasa, Nova, and two interesting characters.
Recommend.

This was a great and interesting contemporary romance. Liam and Trudy both work for NASA, Liam is an astronaut and Trudy is in public affairs. Liam has always been cold to Trudy, but there's a secret Liam is keeping. When they work together on an assignment, their chemistry crazy. I enjoyed reading about space, the Mayans and descriptions of food. There are also some really poignant storylines with both Trudy and Liam having brothers struggling with addiction. Trudy is also learning more about her family history and some important conversations between Trudy and Liam where they learn to communicate with each other to find a way to be together.

I really enjoyed this story and look forward to more by this author. I received an ARC, via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

This book perfectly captured everything I love in a romance novel. Trudy and Liam both have their flaws, but help bring out the best in each other. There are cliché moments but in the best way and the side stories of their family issues and struggles were really well written.
