Praise again to Heather Morris for another great, touching and enthralling story!
I particularly liked that Three Sisters continued the story after the war to include how life went for the sisters beyond The Holocaust.
My thanks to NetGalley and Bonnier Books UK for granting me a digital copy to review.

Heather Morris' storytelling is well researched, emotive and compelling. I have read the whole series and this title, especially, had me gripped. Naturally a sad tale but told with sincerity and detail. Highly recommended.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

The 3rd book from the tattoo of auschwitz - following three Slovakian sisters, Livia, Magda and Cibi and discussing their real live encounters and experiences in Auschwitz / Birkenau.

Heather Morris was able to speak to these 3 sisters about their lives before and after the holocaust and also the unforgettable experiences they had in the concentration camps. In 1924 Livia and Cibi were captured and taken to Auscwitz whilst their middle sister Magda was in hospital. During their last year at the camp, Livia and Cibi are joined by their sister Magda and also their mother and grandfather.

The contents of this book is so valuable to history and the harrowing experiences these 3 'survivors' shared about their fight for survival is truly overwhelming. The fact that they felt guilt for surviving when so many others did not is truly heartbreaking and you cannot truly comprehend what it must have been like for them not only during, but also having to try and live a normal life after experiencing something like that.

I cannot give this book anything less than 5 stars.

“I promise to look after my sisters- I won't let anyone hurt them".

Three Sisters by @heathermorrisauthor is a captivating historical novel based on the true story of three sisters, who were incarcerated in Auschwitz during World War II. The book delves into the horrors of the concentration camps, as well as the bonds of family and the resilience of the human spirit. Each sister copes with the horrors of the camps in her own way, and their individual stories weave together to form a powerful narrative.

There are not many books that make me think “wow” and alter my brain chemistry, but all three books by @heathermorrisauthor have done that and will continue to impact my life going forward. I have been to Auschwitz and seen the horror of what occurred and the results left behind. I have read lots of stories since visiting and have a different mindset reading these now. It is now 2023 and each time I read a book about this point in history, I am always transported back to when I first visited Auschwitz and I am always just as shocked reading the details every time. I believe it is always important to remember this point in history. Hence, we know what extreme hate looks like, what humanity is capable of, what humans are capable of and how we can avoid this ever happening again.

By far, this is going to be one of my favourite books of 2023 and I just learnt that a new book called “Sisters Under The Rising Sun” will be released later this year by @bonnierbooks_uk and I’m sure that will be added to my favourite books of the year.

“We are here, they are not”

Heather Morris has a beautiful ability of carefully telling the stories of survivors of the most heinous crimes known to man. I am baffled how Morris has been able to find these families so interwoven with one another this many years later but it truly tells the story of the power of humanity. Nobody would’ve thought less of the victims if they had simply given up but their endurance is something to be respected and admired. I cannot fathom the sheer mental determination to keep one another alive.

I always find these book’s about the holocaust and WW2 so hard to write, it’s not something you can describe light, let alone absorb or take in the terrible and horrific events and so recent in time. Heather Morris brings to life with great sensitivity the terrible events that these women had to endure abc I’m so glad I read these women’s stories because they are so important, must be told and burnt into our conscious so that we fight the denials, fight back fascism and refuse to let this happen again.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Three Sisters" by Heather Morris is a deeply moving and emotionally resonant novel that explores the unbreakable bonds of sisterhood amidst the backdrop of World War II. Inspired by true events, Morris crafts a story that delves into the lives of three remarkable Jewish sisters who are determined to survive the horrors of Auschwitz. Through their unwavering love, resilience, and sacrifices for one another, the characters come alive on the pages, leaving a lasting impact on the reader. With poignant prose and meticulous research, Morris honors the strength and spirit of these extraordinary women, creating a powerful testament to the indomitable human spirit.
It is harrowing and thought-provoking and it did take me a long time to read, just because of the effect that it had on me as a reader. However, it is a must read for those that are interested in novels set in this period.

A fantastic book, finishing off an amazing trilogy written by Heather Morris. Determined to not break the promise that they made to their father about sticking together, sadly the three sisters find themselves reunited in auschwitz. Amazingly they find the courage and strength to survive the brutal and barbaric behaviour by the Nazis. A truly harrowing yet amazing story, long may this tragic historical event be forever remembered in the hope that we live and learn to be better.

Like all of Heather Morris books it is a little challenging to read because of the context. This follows three sisters and what they went through in the Holocaust. Another good book from the author.

Unfortunately this book was not for me, it was a bit slower than I would like and it just didn't hold my attention. I am sure other people will love it!

In all honesty I was a little disappointed by this book.

I much preferred the last half of the book which relates more closely to the synopsis on the back…

It’s not to say the first half of the book was bad, but more similar to the authors previous two books which I felt covered the same ground.

I also found it difficult to connect with the character, which probably didn’t help.

I’ve given this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

As good as WW2 story gets really. I can't say it was enjoyable. These stories never are. But they definitely touch your heart and bring tears into your eyes, make you realise how lucky you are or if your family wasn't touched directly by holocaust, how lucky they were not to go through what these 3 sisters had to go through, and many more. Made me especially emotional as I'm from Slovakia myself

Three sisters who swore they would always look out for each other and this results in them being sent to Auschwitz.
This follows along the Lines of Heather’s previous books and for me it’s a niche I don’t really feel can be classed as amazing reads as the situation is harrowing.
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙗𝙮 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙨

As a huge fan of Morris’ previous books, I was so excited to have the opportunity to read this- (if you haven’t read THE TATTOOIST OF AUSCHWITZ and CILKA'S JOURNEY, I highly recommend ordering them immediately!) My words are really not going to do this book justice.

Heather Morris has (not surprisingly) delivered yet another deeply moving story of bravery, loyalty, survival and love, in defiance of the inconceivable horror and brutality faced at Auschwitz-Birkenau. A complete emotional rollercoaster, we follow sisters Cibi, Magda and Livi; their harrowing, eye opening story of resilience and strength shown throughout their journey and the story of their survival together. This reads as a stand-alone but I liked the mentions of Lale, Gita and Cilka from the previous books.

Every time I immerse myself in a book about WWII I find myself getting lost in the devastation of the story and at a complete loss for words. It doesn’t matter how many books I read about this, it’s almost impossible to wrap my head around the fact these horrific, inhuman circumstances were real and happened less than a hundred years ago. Morris brings the heart rendering events to life through exceptional description and detail, and although it sounds strange to say I “enjoy” these books, they truly put life into perspective. I feel so blessed to have heard these women’s stories because they are so incredibly important and I will continue to seek out these stories and talk about them so they are never forgotten.

A side note— please, please read the authors notes at the end. I highly recommend this to any lover of historical fiction. It’s beautifully written, it’s important and it’s impactful.

An utterly heart-breaking tale of three sisters very different experiences of Auschwitz and Birkenau and the strength they gave each other to try and survive.

I was already a massive fan of the author, despite having seen and read about the controversies surrounding her previous books and the historical inaccuracies. The author has also been very clear that, although influenced by holocaust survivors own stories and experiences, she is a fiction writer. I think she captures this horrific time of our history so well and powerfully, with this book being my favourite of her previous three that I have read.

Recommend to any who enjoy war fiction and think that all will find it a powerful, impactful read - the three sisters will stick with your afterwards.

This book is not easy to read, and nor should it be. The horrors that so many people faced and survived are truly harrowing, and I will be forever in awe of their strength. The ending to this book is hopeful and beautiful

A must read for fans of Heather Morris and previous books The Tattooist of Auswitz and Cilka's Journey. This is everything you have grown to love and expect from Morris- heartbreaking, sensitive, and rich in detail. The story follows the harrowing fight for survival of three sisters condemned to Auschwitz. Their courage, and determination to survive portrays such hope in the midst of darkness.. a breathtaking read that will stay with you. #threesisters #heathermorris #netgalley

This is a true story which tells of the harrowing events surrounding a Jewish family during the holocaust but continues to tell what happened to three sisters who survived. A really emotional read, beautifully written even though it it very difficult at times. Recommended.
