Fabius Bile remains one of the more interesting characters in WH40k, and it's great to get to really *try* to understand his motivations - it helps that Josh Reynolds writes well and really embraces his subject, rather than trying to shoehorn Bile into the story Reynolds wanted to write. Definitely one for any fan of reading about the exploits of the other side of the WH40k universe.

Thank you to netgalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to have access to an eARC for this book in return for an honest review.

Apologies for taking so long with the feedback.

I have read some epic fantasy that put me off the genre but I gave a chance to this book and I fell in love with the authors writing style and the world building in this book which is amazing and I liked the characters in the book and would love to read more from this author

Continuing on my journey to explore and familiarize myself with the Warhammer series. This one was very good! Lot of action, great universe of course and a solid plot. It can be intimidating to deep dive into these with all those books and massive universe, but it's worth it and easier to get into that I thought it would be! I recommend reading it!

You either love him or hate (I probably do a bit of both) but one thing you never do is ignore Fabius, and certainly not on this book which is very well written and well told, it’s not pleasant reading but this is the grim dark future after all
