Simply loved this thriller by Jill Child’s. I let him in will draw the reader in from the first page! I picked this one from the description and cover and wow! I seem to be picking some cracking books at the moment and this one did not disappoint at all. Another fabulous novel that keeps you guessing until the last few pages with twists and turns all the way through.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An ok read
Louise is happy enough with her cramped apartment, a job that has her travelling twenty-five weeks a year and a string of not-too-serious relationships. When her latest boyfriend proposes and she breaks it off, older sister Jo worries Lou will never settle down. Lou stays silent – she wants desperately to be loved, but with the secret she’s carrying, letting someone go is safer than letting them in. Then a shocking accident leaves Lou unexpectedly housebound for months, and flashbacks from the traumatic childhood memory she’s kept buried begin to resurface, threatening her hard-won self-control. Desperate for some company, she hires Edward – a friend of a friend – to repaint her shabby living room and, hopefully, keep the ghosts at bay. But when Edward arrives – quiet, considerate and handsome – Lou feels inexplicably and powerfully drawn to him, almost like they’ve met before. Her sister Jo doesn’t trust him, but, following her instincts, Lou decides that at last she’s not going to carry her burden alone anymore.
Characters and narration were ok.
I'm doing more promotion on its release date among my fellow Authors Bloggers Family Friends and followers.

Later we see a shocking turn of events! Louise has a terrible accident and it leaves her housebound for some time!. She ends up having a series of flashbacks from her dreadful childhood she has worked hard at keeping buried for so long!.

My thoughts.....
This was a captivating, suspenseful book! The twist and turns left me intrigued and wanting more!
The characters were hmmmm, amazing! The creepiness of Edward was outstanding.
What I enjoyed most was the writing. Jill knows how to keep the attention of her reader and not let go!

All in all, this book was a fantastic read. I enjoyed the journey and everything in it. It's fast-paced, totally unpredictable, and one with a twist that will leave saying "what the neck"!

Lou is cycling back from her ex-boyfriends Toby’s place after trying to talk to him and them having a row. It's windy and raining and the next thing she knows she has been hit from behind by an unknown vehicle. When the paramedics arrive she is heard to say “ Am I going to jail”. She recovers and is allowed home on crutches due to a broken leg. Her sister Jo suggests that she get some decorating done- it will brighten the place up and also give her some company. The lady from victim support has a contact and so appears Ed on the scene who Lou instantly gets on with. Both have secrets from their past and without saying very much soon find that they relate to each other's situation. I quickly became engrossed in this. There's a tension without really knowing why along with an air of mystery about both Lou and Ed. Lou tells her secret but Ed has always said that he will never speak of his. This is cleverly written to engage the reader and as you find out a snippet there's more to come. Wow! I didn't see that ending coming! My head spun for a while and then it all made sense. Wowsers! Certainly one to remember.
