My favorite Prescott out of all the brothers. Lucian was the oldest of Prescott and closed book to everyone until this book. He was more than just CEO of restaurants, clubs, he had dark side where he dealt with Italian/Irish Mafia and his own group. He was peace keeper until Olivia changes everything.
On Olivia's 21st birthday, she saw Lucian and she couldn't get him off her mind ever since. She wanted to get closer but he would always push her away or doesn't seem that interested in her. Maybe because her father is biggest investor for Lucian and he is much older than her (about 18 years senior.) He seem like the one person she couldn't get close too until her past brings them together.
Lucian and Olivia are perfect for each other. Lucian's brooding personality blossoms only for her and she calms him in a way nobody ever did. She makes him smile and looking forward to the future and it won't be easy until everything is neutralized.
Lucian's story wrapped up nicely with all of his brothers. He is older but he was sexy and perfect gentleman. I couldn't put it down once i started. If you are into brooding, dark hero then this is great book.
Thanks to Netgalley and author for this ARC. I can't wait to read rest of Prescott's.

I enjoyed this book immensely, and I’m excited to read more of Tara Wyatt’s work. Especially now that I know The Kings of Hell’s Kitchen are getting their own series. I sure hope Ryu gets his own book, because him arriving at the mansion on his bike really made me weak in the knees.

Lucian is one of those mysterious members of the Prescott family that you want to learn the story of since the very first book.

It feels right that this is an age-gap romance with a woman almost twenty years younger than him. It gives the forbidden vibe and coupled with an is-he-or-is-he-not-a-mobster makes it even more delicious.

It was a chef’s kiss kind of book!

5 stars.

Book Review: ****/5

I really enjoyed this book. I liked that while the story was starting, we were able to flash back to each person's point of view into their past together. I loved the female character so much and felt like the male character was just trying to do the best that he could to be a good person.

Lucian is a successful businessman, but he keeps the mobs of Manhattan from fighting with each other secretly. When he finds himself in love with his investor's daughter, he does everything he can to protect her without becoming unprofessional. Olive has found herself in a bad situation when one of her ex's seems to be stalking her. While Lucian tries to protect her lines begin to get crossed.

I think Tara Wyatt did such a good job on this story. I do need to warn it is an erotica, so if that isn't something you are okay with reading then don't pick up this book. The plot is well developed.

Lucian Prescott has grown up protecting others, ensuring his siblings still had elements of a normal childhood around dysfunctional parents. As well as stepping in to solve troubles and issues as they have gotten older, Now all of his siblings are partnered up, happy and in love. Lucian is very aware that he is the remaining Prescott sibling that is single. However, his tricky balance between the mob world and businessman leaves him to believe that it is safer for him to forgo love in his life.
Gripping sexy read.

I have been waiting for Lucian's story and it did not disappoint. I loved him and I loved Olivia and I loved them together. I was on the edge of my seat and couldn't put it down. I definitely recommend it!

It is finally here! Lucian Prescott gets his turn at love and once again the story far exceeded my expectations. It was great to find out more about his “mob-adjacent” life and meet the woman that he falls for.

This novel has definite suspense romance vibes with a mob/mafioso storyline that I usually stay away from. However, I was excited to read Lucian’s story and in this author’s hands I knew these tropes would be done well. I am officially a Tara Wyatt enthusiast because she has turned more of my least favorite romance tropes into pure gold.

Recommended for: romance readers that like slow-burn, steamy love stories

Content warning: very dirty talk & a bloody rescue hostage situation

I received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

BAD INTENTIONS is the fourth instalment in Tara Wyatt’s contemporary, adult THE PRESCOTTS erotic, Mafia, crime-world series focusing on the Prescott family. This is forty-five year old, CEO of the Prescott Group and head of the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen Lucian Prescott, and twenty-six year old, interior designer Olivia Walsh’s story line. BAD INTENTIONS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Lucian and Olivia) using present day and memories from the past, BAD INTENTIONS follows the forbidden, older man /younger woman romance and relationship between forty-five year old, CEO of the Prescott Group and head of the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen Lucian Prescott, and twenty-six year old, interior designer Olivia Walsh. Approximately five years earlier, Lucian Prescott fell in love with his business partner’s daughter, a woman eighteen years his junior, and thusly off limits. Over the next five years, Julian and Olivia would randomly meet at parties and get togethers but it is not until her father asks a favor does Julian know Olivia is now his for the claiming. But…when Olivia’s ex-boyfriend begins to demand everything and more, Julian becomes guardian and protector of the woman that calls to his heart. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Julian and Olivia, and the potential fall-out when an assassin sets his sights on our story line heroine.

Julian Prescott is the head of a group known as the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen, a well connected group of former members of organized crime who act as go-betweens when the criminal underworld take aim at one another but Julian will quickly discover Olivia’s ex is as dangerous as they come, and Julian is no longer satisfied to sit back and wait for someone else to take control. Olivia Walsh has known since the first time she laid eyes on Julian Prescott, that he would one day be her man but Olivia’s business is about to take off, and if not for her ex on the constant prowl, everything about her life would be perfect. When the threats against Olivia become more dangerous and dark, Julian calls in help from the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen but even they are not infallible when someone else is determined to take back what doesn’t belong

The relationship between Julian and Olivia is older man/younger woman (May-December romance) wherein five years of lusting after one another finally comes to fruition. Olivia’s father is not impressed with Olivia’s choice in men but Julian is the perfect foil for the man that is targeting our story line heroine. Julian has always believed he would never settle down but when threats against Olivia bring Julian front and center, Julian knows that it is only a matter of time before he claims Olivia as his own. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including all of the previous story lines couples, as well as the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen:Luca Romano, Ryu Shiroda, Killian Byrne and Sasha Petrov. We are introduced to Olivia’s father Gavin Walsh, several of our heroine’s BFFs, Olivia’s ex Massimo Greco, and Julian’s cousins Noah, Hudson and Levi.

BAD INTENTIONS is a story of family, friendships, relationships and love; a story of betrayal and vengeance, obsession and retribution, power and control. The fast paced premise is gritty and captivating; the romance is spicy and provocative; the characters are energetic, powerful and determined. BAD INTENTIONS is my first story by Tara Wyatt, but it definitely won’t be my last- I am going to have to go back to the beginning, where it all began.

Was given this doc for an honest review.

Waiting for this book to finally come out and after reading it I have gotten so far behind on reviews it is a shame. I really liked the story of Lucian, the oldest brother. Here you get his back story and the side of him working with the mob. You also see his inner workings as well.
While this is going on you are also given the story of how Olivia came into his life, how he wants to be with her and though she thinks it is because of their age difference at first. It really is about her father being an investor in one of his companies. This goes on for years until she is the interior decorator for a new nightclub he is opening and she also needs help from an ex she dated for just a short time. That man who works for the mob is now stalking her and Lucian must decide now what to do. He chooses her even if it means losing a mentor and starting a war.
I found this to be everything I was looking for and more. A very good story with many good characters which I wanted to know more about, maybe later? Very much worth the read.

⭐⭐⭐

Bad Intentions is the story of Lucian and Olivia. Both are attracted to each other for five years now. Despite the age gap they have, Olivia wants him and she doesn't shy away from telling him that. Lucian thinks that he's too old for her and dangerous so he never pursued her in 5 years. But circumstances bring them together and now Lucian doesn't think he can stop his feelings for her. And when he got to know that Olivia is in danger all dam broke. He will do anything to protect her. Even though he is involved in dangerous business and wants Olivia to stay away from it.

This story has its moments, some funny, some thrilling, some loving, many steamy.

Even though I'm not a great fan of age gap troops I still gave this book a try because I found the blurb of the story interesting. But the age gap was mentioned way too many times for my liking. And it also felt repetitive in some places.

Despite all this, I did enjoyed the story. I would be definitely reading more books from this author, Tara Wyatt. I'm curious about Lucian's brother's stories and they're already published under this series.

She has hinted many more stories for Lucian's three cousins and the member of The Hell's Kitchen and I'm looking forward to those too. 😊

Thank you, NetGalley, the publisher, and author for providing me an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review. 🙏🏾❤

This is the fourth book in a series, The Prescott's, and I hadn't read the first three but it wasn't a problem since it's a stand alone.

I rarely encounter a romance where the age gap is so big as it's here. Olivia is 18 years younger than Lucian, which is a lot. I was curious to see how the author would handle this and I can say she did it with excellence.

Lucian doesn't belong to the mob in New York but he works with them and therefore he tries to stay away from Olivia, not just the age gap is a reason to stay away. Apparently he's not successful 😂

It's a lot of steam here 🔥 so maybe you should avoid this one if it's not your thing.

Bad Intentions is the fourth book in The Prescotts series by Tara Wyatt. You do not need to read them as a series, but having some prior knowledge about the characters makes the read more engaging.

Everyone in Manhattan thinks they know everything there is to know about Lucian Prescott. In his mid-forties, he’s a successful businessman, the founder and CEO of one of Manhattan’s largest hospitality companies, the Prescott Group. He’s also the head of the Kings of Hell’s Kitchen, a small, elite group of former mob members who are the lynchpin in Manhattan’s underground organized crime scene. But Lucian has more secrets than just his criminal ties—like the fact that he’s been in love with Olivia Walsh for the past five years. Olivia, who is eighteen years younger than him and happens to be the daughter of Prescott Group’s biggest, most important investor. She’s completely off-limits, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting her. In his arms. His bed. His life. He knows he needs to stay away from her, no matter how he feels about her—or how she feels about him. But staying away becomes impossible when Olivia’s ex—a man almost as dangerous as Lucian—begins stalking her, and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe. He’ll burn down the entire city to protect the only woman he’s ever loved.

Bad Intentions is a book that wraps of the romantic interests of the Prescott family nicely. Lucian has been working hard behind the scenes trying to keep the piece and help those he cares about find happiness and security. I liked the set up, and I thought Lucian was a well written character. His efforts on behalf of everyone else makes him a very sympathetic character, even as he pulls the strings between mob families. I liked seeing thing from his perspective, and from Olivia's. I thought she was a little less dynamic, but still I rooted for them both. The suspense and action of the story was very well done, and the book was very steamy. Plenty of sex on and off screen, but I did feel like the only connection between the two was lust. There was no real relationship progression that hooked me, it was more like the flip of a switch, but wondering how the danger aspect would play out kept me reading. I know part of that was because oft he way they had danced around each other for years, but I still felt like something was missing there. Honestly, at a certain point I was more interested in Lucian and his team in the Kings than in his relationship with Olivia.

Bad Intentions is a contemporary romance with high heat and suspense. A must read for fans of the series.

While Bad Intentions is the fourth book in The Prescott series, I read it as a standalone and enjoyed it! Lucian is part of the King's of Hell's Kitchen, a mafia-adjacent group that keeps all of the organized crime families in New York in order. He's in his forties and is attracted to Olivia, the 26-year-old daughter of one of his biggest investors. When she gets put in danger, he moves heaven and earth to keep her safe.

While I love a good age gap (and appreciated that Olivia wasn't a super young and naive heroine), I got slightly annoyed about being reminded of the 18-year age difference in every conversation. I thought the mob aspects were interesting and would've liked to see more of that. The epilogue was adorable and Tara Wyatt's extended epilogue was even better so that was a lovely ending to Lucian and Olivia's story.

I received an ARC from NetGalley but all opinions are my own.

For me, this story started off promising. I love the concept of this story - forbidden fruit. He wants her but thinks he’s too old for her. Plus add in who her father is… She just simply wants him. He rejects her time and time again.
But that’s where it kinda slowed down for me. I did skip through some chapters, but I was never fully able to get back into the story.

This is the first book by this author I've read. I was drawn in at the beginning and admittedly I finished it in one sitting. I liked the main characters However, I thought that as soon as they got together all the rest of the storylines disappeared. There was barely any mention of Olivia's project or her friends, or anything at all to do with any of the legitimate businesses. It was all based around the mob.

I'm sorry it took me so long to finish this book. Real life is driving me crazy.

Lucian is my favorite character in this series. Ever since his first appearance in the first book, I've always been so curious about his mysterious lifestyle.
I really love his character because he is a very loving and caring person who takes care of his beloved ones.
It really swoons me.
So I had a high expectation for this book. But turned out it wasn't like what I expected. I'm pretty disappointed actually.
First of all, I don't like the age gap between Lucian and Olivia. I mean, 18 freaking years age gap! Seriously?? It was huge.

And I can't believe I'm saying this...
But there were too many sex scenes.
And I think some of the timing was inappropriate.
I mean, do you really need to have sex every time you do something together? really?

I don't really like Olivia's character that she wasn't that memorable to me.
All I remember about her was she dated assholes guys because she couldn't have Lucian.

I don't really feel the connection between Lucian and Olivia because I feel like the story is too focused on Lucian's "secret job".
I don't even see the "awesomeness" of Olivia although she was described as a smart, talented young girl.
I don't really understand how the story went... It was too cliffy and confusing for me. I don't know how was that project Olivia was given by Lucian to decorate his new bar at the end. Because it's like the story just stopped there hanging.

After 4 books, I still don't like the author's style to end the story with 'bonus epilogue' by forcing the reader to subscribe to her mailing list.
I don't read them anyway. So for me the story just stop there as written on the book.

Thank you so much to the author, publisher and NetGalley for providing me this ARC in exchange for an honest review written above.

Bad intentions is the fourth book in a series that breaks the mold of the mafia-romance genre
.
Lucian is the oldest of his siblings and has a dark side unknown to his family. He is the head of a group called The Kings of Hells Kitchen and is in charge of keeping the peace between the different groups that cohabit in Manhattan.
Haunted by his past and with his guard up to protect his loved ones, he always kept out of women and any possibility of love until he meets the daughter of his biggest investor at her twenty-first birthday party. Both are arrowed from that moment, while Olivia tries to seduce him Lucian tries to contain himself with sufficient reasons such as the age difference and the employment relationship with her father
.
The story is steamy and it's handled so smoothly that it's excellent when it gets to the point. At first the story flows between the past, the first time they met and other past encounters, and the present where the attraction becomes impossible to handle.
.
Mafia- romance is not my trope but this book and this series is so good and well written that I will recommend it whenever I can
.
Thanks to Tara Wyatt for give me this great book in exchange for my honest review
