This is a really excellent cookbook because although of course it does include recipes which work for an anti-inflammatory diet, it much more importantly has a whole load of super delicious looking (and tasting) recipes. Some standout favorites are the Mexican street corn salad (simple, but with a stellar dressing), the numerous instant pot recipes, and some interesting takes on stir fry. Beware of a number of recipes that won't work for nut allergies, but this is a really great guide if you are doing an anti-inflammatory challenge diet and want some different ideas!

I started experiencing knee pain and found this book helpful in understanding how inflammation can be a cause.. I'm still trying to change my diet to accommodate these recipes.

I’ve had inflammation markers for several years and not had much success getting to the bottom of why. But this book has really helped me feel better - by eating better. Thanks to Molly for the great recipes and ideas to reduce inflammation.

As someone with an autoimmune condition who is trying to follow an anti-inflammatory diet this cookbook was really useful with some lovely recipes. This is a great book for anyone wanting to step away from ultra processed foods and I would recommend.

Several recipes looked wonderful and I made it a point to try several, comments below. Delicious!

Additionally, at the beginning of the book there is text about Anti-Inflammatory Diets. There is no one solution for everyone, something that bothers me won't bother you and vice versa. This book has icons that help you avoid triggers. What helped me the most were dieticians and doctors at the Cleveland Clinic who helped me zero in on what to avoid and what can help; all was done via Zoom and I did not personally visit OH.

Recipe 1. The Best Chicken Soup. So the seasonings used were not fresh. I didn't put in as much ginger or many other seasonings. I added some parsley. I left out the rice and the peas. (I hate it when people review recipes and then don't follow them ... like I'm doing here.) But honestly, it was probably the Best Chicken Soup that I've ever made. And it was pretty easy.

Recipe 2. Steak Stir Fry. I couldn't find flank steak at the store and bought eye of round steak. I substituted green beans for snap peas; but followed the remainder of the recipe pretty closely. The steak was a little tough, maybe because it wasn't flank steak. But the seasonings were very good; I think it could use a bit of citrus, maybe orange zest. But we would try this again. It really came together quickly and made a fast dinner. (I had left-over rice.) Most time consuming part was cutting up the veggies.

Recipe 3. Slow Cooker Pot Roast. I asked 3 people to help me find coconut aminos and found it at the third store. Used button mushrooms instead of cremini, 3/4 onion. Really delicious.

This was a great cookbook and I think I will definitely be making a lot of the recipes in here. I love that it is all about anti-inflammatory and I can incorporate these into my diet.

I enjoyed this new cookbook by Molly Thompson. The photos of each recipe was very appealing. Simple recipes with easy to find ingredients. Happy Cooking.

I really liked this book and will definitely try some recipes. I don’t think everything is for me but it’s nice to see what things can go together to maximise anti-inflammatory benefits.

Definitely interesting and some will be soon on my table
Nevertheless some are too too far for my Mediterranean tastes

Molly Thompson's book came about when she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and she needed to change to eating anti-inflammatory foods.

The recipes are easy to follow, most have pictures, and use ingredients that are readily available.

One thing to note is that the book is targeted at an American audience, hence the use of terms like broiling (grilling). One type of fish I hadn't heard of and, on investigation, found it was heavily consumed in the US, so figure you would swap in a similar type of fish available in the UK.

One ingredient Molly uses a lot is coconut aminos, which is a healthier substitute for soy sauce.

Lots of really good ideas here. I will definitely buy a copy of this book and investigate Molly's website.

Interesting read. I appreciated the information on inflammation and the dietary relations. I have tried a a few of the recipes in the book and they were good. I think this is an informative and important read. I would have liked more recipes overall.

I really appreciated the explanations on what is meant by anti-inflammatory, the foods that will reduce inflammation within the body and foods that contribute to inflammation. The writing is clear throughout and easy to understand. I loved the 'pro tips' and thought each recipe was organised and met my expectations. I would have liked more photos - as a beginner cook I find pics really helpful - and the ones included are lovely to look at. This is an accessible cookery book with the beginner/novice cook in mind.

Anyone who has battled inflammation due to dozens of medical conditions will appreciate Molly Thompson’s expertise and experience to eliminate the problem in her cookbook, The Anti-Inflammatory Diet Made Simple: Delicious Recipes to Reduce Inflammation for Lifelong Health. It turns out that food can make a big difference, and Thompson presents dozens of mouthwatering recipes that will fight inflammation.

The word “diet” here is a bit misleading, since the cookbook contains great recipes that will appeal to everyone, not just those who have an inflammation problem. In fact, no one needs to know that these recipes are for a special purpose because they are delicious, and many are even suitable for company. The recipes are written in a traditional easy-to-follow manner, so they can be prepared by anyone cooking – from beginners to advanced. There are breakfast dishes, appetizers, salads, soups, mains, vegetables and meatless dishes as well as desserts that are appealing. Although there isn’t a photograph of every recipe there are many and they are beautiful. Most are quite easy to prepare, and others have a long list of ingredients that take a little more time. Nevertheless, there is something to appeal to everyone. The ingredients are fairly standard and most can be obtained at any grocery store.

Since almost everyone has had an inflammation problem from time to time, this is an excellent cookbook to include on every cookbook shelf. It will be used over and over, and the recipes are good enough that even when there isn’t a problem, the dishes will become favorites.

A good introduction to inflammation and some recipes with lovely pictures to aid in a non medical intervention. I downloaded onto the netgalley app and sadly couldn't refresh so I was unable to finish the book.

I still find the "autoimmune protocol" vs. "anti-inflammatory diet" confusing - authors claim one or the other helped them, but they allow/disallow different foods (ex: nightshades, legumes). The things they have in common, though, are cutting out gluten and dairy. Therefore, I'm looking at recipes for both and picking and choosing the ones that sound good. This one had a few that I'm looking forward to trying, although many of the recipes used ingredients that I personally do not like (such as sausage and fish).
