Unfortunately this one wasn’t for me, I just couldn’t connect to the story or the characters, I didn’t find them very likeable, but I’m sure others will enjoy this instead.

This book is so similar to some of the books I have already read and reviewed on netgalley! Woman goes to vacation, immediately encounters a mysterious handsome stranger, investigates some family puzzles involving dead/absent parent, bonds with the mysterious handsome stranger, conflict happens between the two, some information comes to the light, the two make up, happy ending.

This book is set in Corfu which makes it a lovely read. Having been to Corfu many years ago, reading this book made me want to go back there.
A lovely romantic story.

I can see where the writing during lock down has inspired The Little Door. I can relate to Melodie . Corfu and Melodie what can I say. Within the frist chapter she was pulling at my heart strings. This book deals with alot of issues

Thankyou for giving me the chance to read and another good read indeed. Mix of love laughter and sunshine but not just the typical summer read. I felt I was able to connect with the characters more so than normal. Would highly recommend

After the COVID 19 pandemic leaves Melodie alone in the world, she visits the Greek Island of Corfu, a place she knows from childhood holidays with the grandparents who brought her up. There she meets Anton, a widowed single father, and romance blossoms between them - but that is not the only new connection that Melodie forms,..

My favourite thing about this book was that it is set in Greece - I love Greece, and I only wish I could have been sitting in a shady spot by the sea on a Greek Island while I read this. It's quite an enjoyable holiday read.

With thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

In the post-pandemic world Melodie feels lost and alone, desperate to find something to remind her of her previous life. She sets out on a trip to Corfu to reconnect with happier times, only to be haunted by memories and events from the past.

While travelling Melodie meets an intriguing and handsome man who has the potential to change her future. However, will the young girl from the plane with piercing green eyes be the one to open the door to Melodie’s fate?
Enjoyable read

Unfortunately I was unable to get into this book. I did finish it and would recommend to others. However for me it was too slow paced and I didn't engage well with it.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review

Set in beautiful Corfu, post pandemic, Melodie is looking for happier ties. Will she find what she is looking for? Loss and death feature in this slow burn story which captivates you. Characters that you can't help love. We need a sequel as you are left wanting more.

When Melodie embarks on a journey to Corfu in the attempt to remind her of happier times in her life, she has no idea how delving in to her past will evoke some rather difficult memories too.

Whilst she is traveling, Melodie meets an intriguing stranger who captures her attention entirely. Anton and his daughter play a huge role in her journey as they lead her towards someone from her past who she felt certain she would never meet again. Along with this revelation, she is constantly haunted by memories from her life here.

This is a truly unique story that captures you heart entirely from the moment you begin reading. The characters are vibrant and have many depths to their personalities which you slowly uncover as the story progresses. The dialogue between the characters is engaging and captivating and really adds some extra drive to this story.

With a wonderfully structured plot and a storyline that has you fully immersed to the very end, this was a fantastic read that I struggled to part with.

As a lover of all things Greek, I was drawn to this book by the blurb and the gorgeous cover. Be prepared to be swept along to Corfu as Melodie tries to recall happier times. The themes of loss, death, family relationships lift this book above the average beach read yet will still appeal to fans who love a slow-burn romance as they are dealt with very sensitively.

The storyline starts of slow and culminates in a memorable twist that is worth waiting for. The characters are well-developed and I loved Anton's daughter who is particularly well portrayed as a minor character. This book is an amazing debut and I am grateful to have been able to escape to my beloved Greece for a few hours at least. I am really looking forward to the next in the series.

The Little Blue Door by Francesca Catlow ⭐️⭐️⭐️

‘In the post-pandemic world Melodie feels lost and alone, desperate to find something to remind her of her previous life. She sets out on a trip to Corfu to reconnect with happier times, only to be haunted by memories and events from the past’

While there she meets the lovely Anton and his enigmatic daughter, who leads her to someone in her past who she never thought she’d see again.

I wouldn’t say this was your usual lighthearted summer romance but I enjoyed the slow burn of their relationship in such a gorgeous setting,

Absolutely loved this book. The beautiful old blue, traditional Greek door is what attracted me to the book. Set in one of my favourite locations. Nice mix of characters. The plot was nice. It played out well. The book itself was very well written. Shane I wasn’t in Corfu reading it.

I loved being transported to Corfu, the sights, sounds and smells this book brought them to me. Following Melodie through heartbreak and joy with twists and turns made for a brilliant read. I felt there was more depth than with some romantic summer reads and the characters lived on in my thoughts after I had turned the last page.
