Isn’t It Bromantic is the fourth in the series of The Bromance Bookclub, I really enjoyed this, it had lots of laugh out loud moments, it also dealt issues and difficult topics with sensitivity, I can definitely recommend this

I've kind of jumped into this series in the wrong order since this is the first one I've read in The Bromance Bookclub series.

Ah, well, it didn't stop me from enjoying it any less.

Such a wonderful, lighthearted read with a fantastic cast of characters. I loved the idea of the bromance book club and add in some humour and it made for a perfect read.

The fourth in the series, Isn’t it Bromantic? tells The Russian (Vlad) and Elena’s story and I think it’s my favourite of the lot (and I’ve read all five so far). We have seen Vlad in earlier books and I was looking forward to his story! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Vlad has such a soft, pining side and I was really glad that he wasn’t viewed as comic relief here like he has been in other books.

As the book has been out for sometime I won’t rehash the plot so I will just say that I also loved that we saw the rest of the group a great deal as well as getting our introduction to the Cheese Man. The Cheese Man with his mysterious rare cheeses definitely needs a book.

I also enjoyed the development of Vlad and Elena’s relationship (from estrangement to love), although I do wish they had got a bit more time together. I thought Elena’s return to his life worked well too.

(As an aside, in the world of fictional Russian ice hockey players Vlad is definitely up there but he obviously doesn’t top Ilya, because how could anyone really?!)

I liked Vlad's point of view a lot but sadly I was so annoyed and frustrated at Elena.
I really wanted to like this book but it just wasn’t for me.

Ok, I'm finally at the end of my journey with this series. I am one of the few people who did not enjoy the first book... I gave the second book a chance, and it was better, but still not great. And finally, this book. This series is NOT for me, and now I know!

This was hilarious, I loved this read so much!! This is easily a favourite series of mine and I will be so sad when it ends.

How I love this series, and it seems to get better and better with each book.

We finally get to know more about Vlad, the Russian than in the previous books and the truth about his marriage to Elena.

And once again the men of the book club are on hand to intervene and get the course of true love running smoother!

I was very happy to see that the one aspect of Vlad's character I wasn't keen on in the previous books has now been fixed by way of his new diet, and as a result I couldn't help falling for him a bit myself.

Well after wanting to hit him and Elena for their ease of managing to avoid conversations that may actually improve their lives.

And the whole finale of the book I adored, it was action packed, and I was on the edge of my seat.

This was s sheer joy to read and I really hope to see more from the Bro's as soon as possible.

Wonderful, insightful romantic and full of ridiculously emotionally intelligent men! Loved it.

This I think was my favourite of the series. Vlad is a sweetie. I wish men were like this IRL. I love the way Lyssa Kay Adams inserts so many truths about relationships, gender roles and how we should behave with one another into her books, without them feeling preachy or judgemental. They are fun, a little silly and a convey a lot of relevant and timely truths.

Vlad is pining for his wife, his childhood friend, who found refuge and affection at his home when he Dad was busy being an investigative journalist, he has always looked out for and loved Elena. He marries Elena to save her from the shady people pursuing her in Russia because her journalist father had kicked a hornet's nest, and was killed for his trouble. She has been busy studying in America, and Vlad has concentrated on his career and the Bromance Book Club to distract himself from his feelings.

When Elena comes to Vlad to tell him she wants a divorce and to go back to Russia and look into her father's death, Vlad is badly injured in a game, and Elena stays to look after him.

As Elena works through her feelings and allows herself to grow up, Vlad is determined to be noble and let her go, but his buddies and the book club and The Loners, a group of widowed women Vlad has made friends with, won't let Vlad deal with this n his own. His Bro's are determined to help him work thorough his feelings and communication with Elena, and his writer's block. Cue a funny, heartfelt second chance romance and lots and lots of feels. The Russian trafficking subplot was probably a little too drawn out for my taste, but I absolutely loved this book, mainly for the wonderful hero Vlad, and the laugh out loud interactions with his crew and the cheese jokes.

A fun and heartwarming book. A pleasure to read.
Despite having not read the previous books in this series I could still enjoy is as a standalone.
I will however go and read the others now though, as I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

I love that each are from different characters views but I think this is my favourite one so far. Anyone who hasn’t read this series yet, needs to. All of them.

I really enjoy this series so it’s no surprise that “The Russian” ‘s book is another gem of a book. While this is part 4 of a series, you can read these books as standalones. In fact, book 3 somehow remains unread on my shelf and it didn’t hinder my enjoyment of Vlad’s book. I will be going back and reading the missed book soon!

The main character in this book is Vlad, a Russian defensive ice hockey player. He’s tough on the ice but is an absolute sweetheart and a hopeless romantic. This book discusses Vlad’s marriage of convenience to his wife of six years, Elena.

Vlad is injured and the Bromance book club guys rally around to help him. They are funny, charming, honest and have a brilliant dynamic. I also loved the Loners, Vlad’s female neighbours. I could go on but essentially Vlad is a pure soul and you can tell by how much those around him love him.

This was a fun read but I’ll stop this review here before I get over zealous and step into spoiler territory!

I have been waiting for the Russians book since book one, I've always wanted to get a more indepth look into his relationship as we all knew something wasn't right with his 'marriage', it has the usual life out loud moments with a cute and heartwarming romance.

What a lovely book! I'm not usually one for second chance romances, but this one truly stole my heart. The hockey player with a heart of gold, his childhood best friend and warrior against injustice. This story was so rich and complex, and the slow burn of their journey to each other was a joy. The lovely crowd of families, friends and animals around them only added to the mix in beautiful ways, and the angst of sports injury and crazy moments of the Russian mobster drama kept things interesting too. I'll definitely be reading the rest of this series!

Isn’t It Bromantic is the fourth instalment of The Bromance Bookclub, and while it was probably my least favourite overall, I really enjoyed the small details of the story. It had some decent laugh out loud moments, it also touched on more difficult and important topics - something Lyssa Kay Adams manages to intertwine expertly throughout this series. This one is for the fans of friends to lovers&forced proximity trope as well as relationships with a tangled past!

I only just managed to get through this unfortunately. I don't know whether I needed to have read the other three books to be invested in the characters and story but I felt like I was missing something throughout the read.

I couldn't connect with the characters and found the story a little bland

Another cracking addition to the Bromance series. I've always been intrigued about the Russian we didn't know much about his personal life untill now and I'm so glad he got a story. The book had the usual laugh out loud moments that the rest of the series have but I found this one a bit more heartwarming. Childhood friends to lovers and a marriage of convenience made for a very interesting story. I loved getting to know Vlad and Elena and there backstory. Vlad desperately wants his marriage to work but lack of communication between the pair has made the marriage very tricky. As usual the Bromance gang were brilliant. I loved the scenes with them especially the bath scene. We also get introduced to a new set of characters who I hope we will see more of. I really hope that Colton is our next Bromance book star as I can see a great story with him and Andrea.

After being in the Bromance bookclub, it was only a matter of time till Russian romantic softy Vlad attempted to write his own novel, however he needs some help from the team to write the perfect ending for the book aswell as hell with his own happily every after!

With toilet humour, friendship and love, this was a delight! However I’m slightly on the fence with the main couple! I liked Vlad, his sensitive nature and his love for animals but At times I found the couple together irritating, their miss communication and letting each other slip away however I understand this was necessary for the book 🙈

Although this is part of a series, I believe they can be read in any order as each one is about a different member however I would recommend reading The bromance Bookclub first as an introduction to all characters 💛

After lying to his friends and existing in a loveless, arranged marriage Vlad decided to take the bull by the horns and admit to his wife that he wants more from his marriage but it might already be too late as Elena plans to move back to Russia, without Vlad.

I don't know if it was the knowledge he's gotten over some of his tummy troubles or it was empathy for Colton as he suffered some of his own gastric issues but something immediately set Vlad apart from the comedic side character crown he'd earned himself in the first 3 books. It could also have had something to do with getting more than 3 words at a time

As always with this series Lyssa manages to weave such a beautiful love story between the Bromance Bookclub as she does the main characters. The camaraderie and genuine friendship between these men was exquisite. From their genuine concern to the unwavering support, I could read about this group of men forever.

You absolutely got your monies worth with this one. There's so much story. Even when I thought it was getting tied up and coming to an end then suddenly I still had 20% to go and there was still so much more story to come.

This series as whole has been such an enjoyable, easy read. Anyone who's thinking of reading: DO IT!
