This would be a great book for young feminists, and could help parents initiate important conversations with their children. The short bios about important women in history were interesting, and would be fun to read in short bursts.

What a superb book to help empower our young women! It is full of quotes from powerful female role models and jam-packed with questions to help kick start discussions with friends and families that will help reveal the strengths, skills and extraordinary talents of our young people. What better way to learn self reflection and teach our young people to aim for success. The illustrations are beyond beautiful. A perfect gift. I have been reading a few pages per night with my daughters, opening the doors to rich conversation. My son loves to join in too. This would make a fabulous gift. #questionsforrebelgirls #rebelgirls #netgalley

The illustrations were all so pretty and pleasing to look at, and I really enjoyed learning about all these remarkable women who've achieved so much throughout history. My only gripe is that they've included some CEOs whose fortunes are — well, inherited — as opposed to some other women in the book who've really strived and fought for whar they've achieved.

I read the questions aloud to my sibling as we answered them together, while my dad cooked barbecue outside. If it weren't for that experience I wouldn't have loved this as much as I did, but I'll forever treasure that memorable Sunday noon of us lauging uproariously and getting heartfelt with some of our answers fondly.

We love the Rebel Girl series in our house. I have read together with both my daughter and son. My daughter is in the 5th grade and has loved every book. I give her a small section to work on during days she doesn't have homework. This helps us check off reading for the day and gives her some questions to really ponder. We love the colorful pages and diversity with the women detailed in the book.

Please keep publishing more in these series!!

I've always been a huge believer that one of the best things you can do for you children is to talk to them and to really listen to how they respond. Children need to feel heard.

Poppy and I have long been fans of the Rebel Girls books, so when I spotted the next in the installment available for review on netgalley, I pressed the request button instantly. Questions for Rebel Girls is a wonderful book full of questions that will put you directly in the shoes of some incredibly inspiring women.

While Pops and I loved reading it together and sharing out responses with each other, it is wonderfully accessible for children to read independently. We found a lot of the questions provocative, opening up dialogue that sent us on all sorts of crazy tangents. We talked, giggled, snuggled and once even cried while we learned snippets of information about amazing women from around the world, and lots about one and other too.

I don't think I can praise this book, along with the rest of the series, highly enough. Every young lady should have a Rebel Girls book in their lives.

"Questions for Rebel Girls" continues the Rebel Girls' publishing tradition of powerfully written and stunningly illustrated biographies of girls and women. The format of this book is designed to be interactive. In addition to short biographical information about a multitude of female role models, every page has questions designed to encourage reflectivity, curiosity, and personal growth. Some of the questions are in a "would you rather" choice format; other questions are more open ended. Many of the questions prompt the reader to celebrate the acccomplishments of others and imagine a world of possibilitites for themselves. The women profiled are from a wide range of disciplines, such as journalism, politics, science, activism, sports, and the performing arts. I particularly like the inclusion of many young people, like poet Amanda Gorman, tennis player Naomi Osaka, and climate activist Xiye Bastida. This book would be a wonderful addition to upper elementary, middle school, and high school libraries.

Questions are powerful because they are the catalyst for change. “Questions for Rebel Girls” (a new addition to the Rebel Girls series) taps on the potential of inquiry, leading the reader to toy with ideas and form their own convictions. These questions are sparked by real women from various walks of life who rebelled for a cause – from Jane Goodall to Jacinda Ardern – encouraging the reader to imagine themselves in certain situations. The thought-provoking questions are preceded by very short write-ups on the rebel idols, hooking the reader with the right balance of information and reflection. A must-read for boys and girls alike! Book releases on 19 October 2021.

PS. I was truly impressed with the diversity of real rebel women featured – it even includes Lakshmi Bai (or Laxmi Bai), the queen of Jhansi who fought against the British in India to oppose the ‘Doctrine of Lapse’.

A wonderful string of thought-provoking questions for the female leaders of tomorrow! Women all over the world-- from world leaders to immigrant restaurant owners-- are showcased here, and it truly shows "rebel girls" how to make change, regardless of how small, in their communities and beyond.

Questions for Rebel Girls is a good for school libraries. It is great for home libraries too. There are so many strong females with wonderful stories to tell ,and while I confess, there were many I did not know about, reading this book has given me insight to these wonderful people. I think if I was giving this book to a tween or teenager, I would also give them a journal. The chosen people ask credible and worthy questions, encouraging readers to think about some serious issues. For example, Rachel Carson, an environmental pioneer asks readers to consider what roles "humans play in taking care of the environment?" Or consider the Prime minister of New Zealand (the country where I live), asking us how "people can put more kindness in the world."
The questions are worth considering, and writing the answers in a journal would be a wonderful place to keep those records.
A good and worthy read.

I just adore this series. It's so great that the authors are putting together a collection that highlights strong women for little girls to look up to.

In this newest installment, there are questions for little girls such as "If you could have any super power, what would you choose?" and "If you could meet any woman from any country and in any time in history, who would you choose?" These questions are designed to get little minds thinking, while still educating them about the inspirational women featured in the book.

My thirteen year old daughter loves the other books of this series, but she was not excited about this book.

The short bios of the popular women were interesting, but the questions were not her style.

Girls who do the tests in magazines will be very interested in this book.

I have always been a fan of the Rebel Girls books, as they fill a much needed role in introducing children to important women. However, Questions for Rebel Girls falls short of the quality previously seen in most of the Rebel Girls books. Questions are sprinkled throughout the pages in an attempt to get kids conversing about their thoughts regarding various topics related to various important women. However, those questions are often not accompanied with any information about the person in question. Random facts appear on pages with no context. The book has very little content compared with other Rebel Girls books.

𝑄𝑢𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑅𝑒𝑏𝑒𝑙 𝐺𝑖𝑟𝑙𝑠 from the Rebel Girls series is very different from any other of the books I have been lucky to read but that is far from a criticism.

Unlike the others, 𝑄𝑢𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑅𝑒𝑏𝑒𝑙 𝐺𝑖𝑟𝑙𝑠 focuses more on getting the reader to think about what they would thanks to questions posed by the Rebel Girls team, and readers of the previous books. I love that it encourages the reader to imagine themselves in certain situations, given opportunities in life etcetera. I strongly believe that these books belong in every school and personal library (and not just for girls) but this particular book would be ideal for such things as 'Big Reads' that are done in schools etcetera.

If you want your child to learn about various famous women in history and there is a diversity in these books that I haven't seen anywhere else, then these are for you. 𝑄𝑢𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑅𝑒𝑏𝑒𝑙 𝐺𝑖𝑟𝑙𝑠 will encourage conversation between the readers and those around them and encourage as always, for the reader to be their true self and strive for the best against prejudice, disability, age, gender etcetera.

Thank you as always to Rebel Girls for the advanced copy - they have created a fantastic series that is needed for all children.
