This book was utter perfection. We have Axel Bergman a gumpy, lumberjack hero who looks hot in glasses, reads romance novels his brother keeps throwing at him, and is an emotionally charged abstract painter.

And we have Rooney, a sunshine 24 year old law student with a chronic illness (ulcerative colitis) who has recently needed to take a leave of absence from school due to a recent, severe flare up. She needs rest and no stress so her best friend Willa offers the use of the Bergman A Frame house.

When Rooney shows up at the house, assuming it would be vacant, she is a bit shocked to see Axel there, and he's telling her no way can she stay there due to the massive repairs needed. The house isn't safe and Axel is worried how he is going to afford the work that needs to be done.

When a friend suggests he utilize the giant inheritance Axel's uncle left him he realizes it may be his only chance to save his family vacation home. There's just one catch, he must marry to receive the inheritance and here is Rooney ripe for the asking. The only problem is that he's halfway in love with her already but there's no way he can let her know that.

This book completely sucked me in from page one. It has a perfect balance of swoony romance, comedy, steam, and the great sense of family that is the Bergmans.

I ADORED watching these two fall in love and fight for their relationship to work, putting aside fears and opening up to the vulnerability that comes with realizing you are in love and that any potential pain that may bring is worth every second you get to spend with this person.

Axel is so tender with Rooney, respecting her feelings ALWAYS, and trying so hard to take care of her. I loved each tender, small scene of him at her bedside, worried and making her blanket nests. It was absolutely beautiful.

Don't miss this one. It was sweet and touching and affirms the idea that EVERYONE is worthy of love.

God, I am just floored by this. I love Chloe’s writing and I love all the Bergmans but this book was just so amazingly earnest and tender and sweet and I want to erase it from my mind just so I can read it again for the first time.

Rooney is sunshine personified and her love of Harry Styles was great. Axel is the kind of romance hero I absolutely love and seeing the two of them become even more themselves with each other just gave me so many feelings. This book left me feeling warm and fuzzy and ready for more Bergmans!

This is one of my favorite series and Chloe has become one of my favorite authors.

'With You Forever' featured one of my favorite romance tropes, marriage of convenience, as well as the most loveable protagonists.

I have to admit that I am a bit obsessed with the Bergman Brothers and was thrilled to get an opportunity to read Axel and Rooney's story.

Axel and Rooney have harbored secret crushes on one another for the past two years, but have done their best to hide their feelings. Thanks to Bergman shenanigans they find themselves stuck at the Bergman family A-frame and that's when the fun starts.

Rooney agrees to a marriage of convenience to help Axel gain access to an inheritance and obviously the pesky feelings they swore to ignore start getting in the way of their non-romantic agreement.

I loved everything about this story, especially the vulnerability both Axel and Rooney demonstrated in openly discussing their personal and health challenges., Axel is autistic and Rooney deals with a chronic illness that can be debilitating. It was wonderful to read about these two falling in love.

Axel and Rooney were surrounded by other wonderful characters, Parker, Bennett and Skyler were especially lovely. I also love getting glimpses of other Bergman favorites.

Chloe Liese is a gifted writer and her characters are always wonderfully human and relatable and I cannot wait to read more of the Bergman brothers.

I loved this one! I think it's my favorite so far in this series. "With You Forever" doesn't have a lot of angst and drama, and that's refreshing. The characters are so loveable. Most of the book is just them falling in love. Even the big dramatic moment was mostly quiet and sweet, with fits Axel and Rooney perfectly.

Liese is so intentional and thoughtful about the characters and their experience and backgrounds. I'm never worried that Liese is going to throw in a curveball. I was worried about the IBS rep, it was fine and very tactful.

My main drawback was that I felt the ending as a bit rushed, and the ending felt abrupt. But maybe that's just because being with Axel and Rooney was so much fun.

I usually don't read my ARCs this far in advance, but I'd read a few duds and needed something I knew I'd enjoy. The Bergman Brothers books are the equivalent of a warm ,cozy blanket. I curl up with them and I can't stop reading until I read the end. And then I'm sad it's over and I have to take off the blanket and get chilly again.

This is a toe curing, heart smooshing book. It's funny and serious all at once. It's sexy yet tame, which fits the characters. I especially love the role animals play in the story. They allow Axel to communicate his feelings through them, and provide comfort to both characters.

Marriage of convenience hasn't been a trope I enjoy much but it was perfect here. In agreeing to it, Axel and Rooney show each other their true selves.

As always, Chloe's writing is sharp and witty. She never gets wordy or drags scenes out. I highly recommend this series for romance readers.

A super cute and steamy slow burn marriage of convenience about characters learning to love themselves and each other😍

Ah the Bergman series is such a comfort read for me since first discovering Willa and Ryder's story! I had been reading books filled with such unlikeable characters, so it was lovely to slip back into this world of loveable characters. With You Forever was such a soft and gentle book, and was just what I needed! After reading Ryder and Willa's, Ren and Frankie's, and Freya and Aidan's stories, I was excited to jump into Axel and Rooney' story. They had been crossing paths for years, and after that game of charades, I was desperate to find out what happened between them, and inhaled this book way too fast! I will at some point reread it whilst listening to the play list on Spotify.

WYF was so sweet, funny and hot. And mostly set in the Bergman's a-frame in the woods (I want).

As always Chloe Liese shone a spotlight on underrepresented issues. She's the queen of handling underrepresented characters sensitively. And why not?! All everyone deserves to be loved and to feel seen!

Axel oh Axel you sweet, gentle giant! This guy who doesn't think he's good enough for his family or for a relationship, just showed his love in unconventional ways, through food and fixing things. His glasses, his not dog, his gentlemanly ways.. Sigh. I loved how he learnt to recognise and express his love. I loved how Chloe Liese showed a character on the Austustic spectrum with different needs, triggers and behaviours to Frankie and Ziggy. It's such a wide spectrum, and not everyone understands that! 👏

Rooney. I always loved her, since the first book, and have so much respect for her. Rooney had been hiding a huge secret from everyone, that she suffers from the chronic illness IBD. I'm so glad Chloe included this, I know several people who suffer from conditions like this, and it isn't talked about. People are embarrassed, and they shouldn't be, it's a debilitating illness and it's tough. Seeing Rooney suffer through the food triggers, the stress and heartbreaking practicalities felt so realistic and sad.

I loved Axel and Rooney together. The chemistry and connection, the laughs, the honest, emotional conversations. They were both going through things, and helped each other heal. They were both so kind, patient understanding and accepting of each other ❤️

Other things I enjoyed included:
🐾Harry and Skugga,
🐾Nature, hiking and sunsets,
🐾New friends who were LBGT+ (possible spin off Chloe?!)
🐾STEM discussions,
🐾Cooking together,
🐾All the tropes and awkward scenes 😂
🐾The mutual pining!

The only downsides for me were that they didn't tell the rest of the Bergman family what was going on on page. I like to imagine they did, but I would've loved to read about that! I also craved more appearances from the fam! Unbelievably, I also found parts of this a bit to sugary sweet, but maybe I'm just a heartless one.. I think I just related so hard to Freya and Aidan's story, but I guess different people will relate more to different issues covered in the different books!

Overall I really loved this installment it was good for the soul. Like a love letter to everyone who feels a bit different. It will make you swoon, sigh, nod along and laugh! I can't wait to read Ollie's story 😊

🐾🐾🐾🐾Bergman stars!

Yes! The 4th installment of the Bergman Brothers series did not disappoint…
I’m this cuteness, we had the story of brooding artist Axel and struggling law student (family friend of Willa) Rooney.

When Willa sends Rooney to the A-frame for some recovery time from her health issues, she finds Axel there doing home repairs that he is hiding from the Bergman family. Grumpy as usual, he puts off Rooney. But his silent brooding and hotness are only a smoldering attraction to the pair. As they work together to each heal - they find their attraction unbearable.

Rooney is taking a break from law school and she needs a place to stay order to relax and reevaluate her life. Her friend offers her boyfriend's family cabin, seeing as she has a wonderful relationship with the and is assured that nobody will use the cabin while she stays there, she agrees.

Alex has build his home close to the cabin and while it is his turn to stay there he takes the opportunity to fix some major issues with the cabin. The problem is, that he is suffering from a painter's block and he is in need of money in order to complete the work on the cabin.

Neither expect to see the other in the cabin and when the first shock passes they see the hidden opportunity. Axel's uncle left him some money which he can only access when he gets married, Rooney is happy to help him and in exchange she can stay in the cabin for a few weeks.

A forced proximity turns into a marriage of convenience between a grumpy hero and a sunshine heroine and I couldn't be happier about it.

Rooney and Axel are both incredible people, they both have encountered several difficulties, they took the time to get to know and understand the other. There is some wonderful pining from both sides which made the romance even more amazing.

Very early in the book Axel made me loved him, he is very thoughtful and sweet, he may be grumpy but that only adds to his charm. He has his own unique love language which I found beautiful.

Rooney is very strong, she has a serious condition that often makes her life difficult but she is always smiling and trying to make everyone happy. I really enjoyed her character development.

One other thing I loved was the appearance of Axel's family, including some of the characters we previously met and loved and some that their stories I am looking forward to read.

*I received an ARC through Netgalley and this is my honest opinion.

With You Forever Chloe Liese

I was so in love with the idea of this book. Axel has been such a stoic, quiet character and his autism has been subtly addressed in previous books. Roonie's character was such a contrast to him, they were the epitome of sunshine and grump but their sexual chemistry has been quietly sizzling in the background till it hit these pages with a bang.

Knowing the dynamic of the Bregman brothers and their significant others I was really intrigued as to how Chloe was going to work in a marriage of convenience for this couple but it was so perfect. The reasoning behind it and how it came about was so authentic to this couple.

Axel and Roonie felt so safe. Don't mistake safe for boring because they're far from it. However their relationship and their feelings for each other is something I hope we all get to experience in our lifetime.

The setting of this one added to the cosy, heart-warming vibe. There were so many moments between Roonie and Axel that melted my heart. This book feels just as special as the three before it.

My heart was so full after finishing this. It was another amazing addition to this series. If you haven't started this series I think it's an absolute must for any romance reader.

5+
Once again I am crying after finishing book. I'm going to write an actual review for this, but I just cannot stress that this is how you do cishet books right. There's no gender norms and there's constant breaking down of toxic masculinity, there are virtually no gendered terms in regards to relationships. There is open and honest conversations about sex. There is emotional conversations about romantic versus platonic love and affirmations that you only should be in a relationship if you want to. There's no amatonormativity or heteronormativity and I just cannot get enough. Please read this freaking series.

Now to attempt an actual review. I was extremely lucky to be given an arc of this book through NetGalley and I love this book with my entire being. I really enjoyed Rooney and Axel when they were secondary characters in the past books, and so I was thrilled to see them get their own storyline. The way that chronic illness and disability and autism and anxiety are all written is so immaculate. It's going to leave you feeling connected to these wonderfully flawed characters. And they're not flawed because of their disability, they're flawed because they're written as human. They make mistakes and do the wrong thing and are constantly working to figure out the best way for them to be happy.

If I had to use just a couple words to describe this book it would be soft and gentle. It feels like a super tight warm hug and it's incredibly soothing.

Axel is up at the A-frame working on some major renovations in order to keep the Bergman family vacation home in working order. He has been struggling with painting because of his feelings for Rooney and therefore isn't able to make money off of his art at the moment. The only way that he can figure out to fund the renovations is through his inheritance, but his inheritance has a clause, a marriage clause. Except for the fact that Axel isn't into romance. He doesn't do relationships and he's not interested in them. It is not canon, but I am 100% convinced that Axel is on the aromantic spectrum and I'm running with it. I'm going to take whatever representation I can get.

Anyway he is working on convincing himself that he needs to just get married to get the money so that he can save the family home. And that's when Rooney shows up. Rooney has taken a leave of absence from law school because of her chronic illness that has been getting worse. She has IBS, ulcerative colitis, and throughout this book she works through some internalized ableism and body shaming in the ways that her body is slightly different than others. Rooney shows up because she needs vacation and her meddling best friend Willa, told her that the A-frame was empty even though she knew it was Axel's time. So as you can imagine with these two and they're weird sexual tension and mutual attraction, Rooney arrives and it is awkward. There's some conversations and some running away but they end up in a platonic marriage solely for the fact that Axel can get the money.

As you can probably imagine, this non-romantic purely platonic marriage between two people who have been pining over each other for years, does not stay platonic. It doesn't turn sexual until much later, but even as hard as Axel tries to remain distant, he is slowly becoming comfortable with Rooney and they become friends.

Axel is working through an autism diagnosis and learning about what he needs and how to make accommodations so that he can be at his happiest.

Axel Is my favorite type of character. He is really imposing in the fact that he's six and a half feet tall and with a perpetual grumpiness, but inside he is actually soft and sweet and loving and so empathetic. Everything that Axel does is for the people that he loves and cares about. Just love him so much.

Rooney is witty and energetic but finds solace in the quiet woodsy cabin life with Axel.

The main issue surrounding these two is that Rooney is leaving and Axel doesn't know if he can surrender himself to love if Rooney is just going to walk away.

There is a rescue dog named Harry styles and a kitten fluff ball who was rescued after Rooney almost shit her pants in a random field and there's lots of gluten-free vegetarian food. There is camping and hiking and sunsets and sunrises. Cue a dreamy sigh. I know I said it already but I'm so in love with this book. It's my favorite of the Bergman Brothers so far and I am just soft for this family. The Bergman family Is the type of close-knit, interconnected, best friend family I dream of. They are always there for each other and willing to do whatever it takes to make their family happy. They're just so great. I'd loved all of Viggo and Oliver's additions to this one and Viggo's love of historical romance novels gets me through life.

This review is a hot mess because I am still stupidly emotional over this book and instead of waiting to compile my feelings like an adult, I am gushing about this book instead. Enjoy.

You had me at “marriage of convenience” and “only one bed.”

Per usual, a cute romp from Liese, although there were a couple unresolved plot points in the ARC. I’m curious to see if these pop up in future installments.

I did not want this book to end. I couldn't get enough of Rooney and Axel. This pair had me laughing, frowning, hurting and smiling. What an incredibly well written book this was! Chloe Liese is an amazing author with a truly special gift. The way she writes such authentic characters, blows me away! The fact that many of her heroes and heroines are neurodiverse just makes the books that much more enjoyable!

Rooney and Axel were the epitome of a tantalizing, slow burn romance. The tension and chemistry between them could be cut with a knife. I think the denial of feelings made this read so much more fun because you just sat on the edge of your seat waiting for them to give in. Just waiting for them to stop lying to themselves and each other. The anticipation kept me so engaged in this story.

I can't say a single negative thing about this book. It was the perfect story. Another amazing 5 star read by this fantastic author!

With an opening note that this involved a romance between a character with ulcerative colitis and another who was on the autism spectrum, I wasn’t sure how much I would get into their romance. But I had enjoyed the earlier books about members of the Berman family and really appreciate the author’s writing and characterizations. An earlier book included a character who is autistic and the author included a note that she is also on the autism spectrum. So I really felt that readers benefit from her descriptions of what an autism person feels and how he or she experiences the world.

This book continued that tradition with Axel, the oldest Bregman brother, having to offer a home to Rooney, a friend of the family. For some unbelievable reasons, they have to get married while resisting the attraction that they feel for each other. So the novel is a bit of a slow-burn. The alternating POVs help us see how each person feels unworthy of the others and is afraid to open up. It’s an old plotline when you just read the outline, but Liese’s writing and the personalities help this rise above to be a very enjoyable read.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

I read this book so quickly! Having the two main characters each with their own challenges made this even better than I’d hoped. Axel’s autism and Rooney’s health issues were handled sensitively and realistically, their chemistry was amazing, and the slow burn kept me turning the pages. Though this book is fourth of a series, it’s good as a stand-alone also. Thank you for approving my request to read this!

Wow this was so good. I don't have any complaints. This was another beautiful and heartfelt romance by Chloe Liese. Not much really happens and it's just two characters figure out themselves and each other which is my fave type of book. Chloe Liese's writing just keeps getting better and each book keeps replacing the last as my favorite. This series is amazing and features so many different types of representation with characters that are so lovable.

WHAT I LOVED
-The cabin setting – In a lot of the books they visit the cabin, but I loved how this one was at the cabin the whole time
-Although I will say I need a visual of the cabin because they refer to it as “the A frame” but A Frame cabins are rarely big? And the entire Bergman family comes and visits at one point?
-I love how Rooney loves the Bergman family so much and how they have just sort of taken her into the fold.
-We have marriage of convivence aka one of my favorite tropes
-As always Chloe is writing neurodiverse stories that are just so good. Axel has autism and I loved how this was presented and written (I am not austic and cannot comment on the rep, but Liese is austic)
-I loved seeing Rooney’s experience with chronic illness on page and how it impacts so much of her life, but she tries to hide it.
-I loved the moment she finally tells Willa
-I don’t have a chronic illness, but I know a few people who do and the way Liese describes it matches to what a lot of them have shared.
-Chloe Liese always writes stories where you are rooting so hard for the characters to admit their feelings because their chesmistry is so appartent
-I’m pretty sure I teared up a few times
-The animals in this are so cute and so are the side characters
-Axel showing his family that he loves them through taking care of the cabin renovation was so cute and made my heart hurt.
-Fun Fact: Chloe Liese describes Axel as looking like Ben Barnes and he wears glasses so I mean that should be reason enough to read this one.

WHAT I DID NOT LOVE
Honestly I don’t love the titles because I never remember them LOL and this cover isn’t my favorite

Overall I would recommend this to anyone who likes contemporary romances. Chloe Liese’s writing just keeps getting better and better and I can’t wait to see how the next Bergman’s story pans out. I think it is Oliver’s story?

Oh guys! I have been waiting for this book since I first met Rooney in "Only When its Us" which i have read three times.

What can I say....im a whore for Chloe Liese books.

This book delivered. It was exactly wanted. Axel and Rooney are so so swoony. Look at me rhyming! I'm just so excited.

I love how Liese continues to give us real characters who love super hard but are 100% authentic. She doesn't draw out complications and is always on point with her advice.

She is simply the best. (Queue Patrick singing to David.)

The rating system is bonkers but platforms need it for books success so my rating is 4.5 rounded up. My only...only criticism is that I wanted more. I would have loved a bit more conclusion. I needed to know how the family reacted to Rooney and Axel. That is all. I wanted more. Then again...I always want more when its Chloe!

I recieved an advanced ebook copy of this book in exchange for my honest feedback. All opinions given are my own.

Thank you so much to @netgalley and for this ARC of the upcoming Bergman Brothers book from @chloe_liese !!!

This book was a payoff of four books of longing between Axel, the grumpy grunting painter brother (the Ben Barnes-y one) and Rooney, the sunshine 🌻, Willa’s super smart best friend, the law student.

The book starts out with Rooney fleeing her life in the wake of a serious flare up of her IBD, ulcerative colitis. Willa has offered the A-Frame as a hidey hole, where unbeknownst to Rooney, Axel is also residing. (Those meddling little brothers! 😍)

Rooney drops in right as Axel is assessing the serious structural damage to the A-frame that will require costly renovations. Their chemistry is incendiary, and of course that means they’re going to awkwardly deny it until it explodes. Cue some mutual pining, and a tentative friendship that explodes because Axel’s inheritance has a marriage clause and well, Rooney’s game to get married to help her family by choice, the Bergmans.

This is an own voices book, so it handles Axel’s autism with great care and understanding. He has a hard time processing feelings, whether they’re his or they’re other people’s, and a harder time verbalizing the feelings once he’s processed. Axel’s atypical processing of his love for Rooney is done so very softly and tenderly.

I love a character that really just *gets* the indignity of having to poop in a field because there isn’t another choice. Axel’s unabashed kindness and unreserved straightforwardness really shows Rooney what it’s like to be loved as a whole person. Rooney’s acceptance of Axel’s autism is equally as straightforward and loving - he is who he is, which includes autism, but isn’t only autism.

It is a slow burn and the sex is emotionally charged, with sexy consent talk. It’s not as smutty as previous books, but it’s right for the characters on the page.

I am constantly pleased with the care in which @chloe_liese gives these atypical characters and the love stories they’re allowed to have even while flawed and imperfect.

This comes out September 14 - preorder it now!!

This was my first Chloe Liese and I loved it! It’s the 4th in the series but can be read as a stand-alone.

The story follows Rooney and Axel Bergman as they navigate an awkward situation. The stress of law school is getting to Rooney so she’s taking some time away in a secluded Washington vacation home. The Bergman house is supposed to empty but Axel is the middle of fixing som big issues.

He needs money and access to an inheritance, but with a caveat: he has to get married. Rooney agrees to fake-marry him; however, they’re forced to stay in his tiny cabin on the same land. They each have a secret crush on the other and through this process, they end up falling in love.

I love that the characters are not you’re “typical” characters: Axel has autism and Rooney has ulcerative colitis. While they both have challenges from these diagnoses, neither one lets it stop them from following their dreams and finding love and acceptance. Axel is one of the sweetest make characters I’ve read in a while and I immediately liked him! Liese did a phenomenal job of portraying serious issues like toxic masculinity, autism, and IBS in way that readers can really connect to.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

4 stars

This book was a delight to read! I previously read and adored the first two books in the Bergman Brothers series, so I already went in knowing that I enjoyed Chloe’s writing style. The book was overall very sweet and heartfelt, and I loved how Rooney and Axel found love and affection for each other at their own pace.

Often contemporary romances jump right into insta-love in order to get to the spiciness, but the slow burn between Rooney and Axel was so much more believable and lovely. Both characters are dealing with their own life stresses and health-related issues, yet also are unwilling to burden their loved ones with their problems. Little do they know that a marriage-of-convenience between the two of them would be just what they need set them on the path of opening up and sharing their truths. As an OwnVoices author, Chloe also discusses Axel’s neurodivergence with care and respect, and I loved how With You Forever was so therapy-positive, which is sadly not as common as it should be.

Overall, I really liked this addition to the Bergman Brothers series, and I especially wanted to see Rooney get her happily ever after. I ended up rating With You Forever with 4 stars, mainly because I still felt that the story left something to be desired. While I really liked the main characters together, I often felt that their individual internal dialogues did way too much telling me of their desire for one other, rather than being shown through their actions and conversations. So the chemistry ended up feeling a bit forced in the beginning and sort of pushed upon me as the reader. Another reason behind my rating was due to the climax of the story, where things tend to go wrong, being far too close to the end of the book for my liking, and because of this, I felt the resolution was a bit too quick and cleanly wrapped up to be realistic.

Please pick up With Your Forever by Chloe Liese and give it a shot, because I guarantee you will laugh and probably shed a few tears along the way!

Chloe Liese is the voice I want to be highlighted as the future of romance. I cannot tell you why I waited until June to read the previous three Bergman brother's stories, but after I flew through them in nearly a weekend I knew that I needed to get my hands on Axel and Rooney's grump/sunshine love story!

This book is EVERYTHING. RUN, DON'T WALK! Liese writes amazing, swoony romances, however, it is so much more than that because she is actively inclusive. She has this uncanny talent for writing books that straddle the line of perfectly including voices that we don't always get to see while still giving us a great romance book that doesn't rob the characters of just being them and falling in love. Sounds simple enough, I know, but we sadly just do not see it enough.

Rooney is a sunshine filled woman who is an incredible friend, a scholar, and someone who is suffering from chronic IBD. Axel is a shy, grumpy guy who would rather stay in the woods and work on his art while also coming to understand being on the autism spectrum in his adult years.

The chemistry is off the charts and Liese really builds it up in this slow burn book full of sweet and steamy moments! I love these two so much and I love this story, it easily fits in my top 5 of the year. In all fairness I will say my one complaint is that I love the Bergman family so much that I was missing them a little in the first two-thirds of this book while they were tucked away at the A-frame, but I know that was probably very helpful in order for Axel and Rooney to build their relationship.

I truly cannot wait for everyone to get their hands on this book and I will be screaming from the rooftops how much of a must read this is! I cried a little at how honored and seen I felt while reading about Rooney's chronic illness and how it did not get in the way of her happily ever after AND it was not made to be a joke. Chloe Liese's work is as important as it is exceptional. Again run, don't walk people!
