This was a great romance that had some marvelous representation of autism. I found this to be a lighthearted, but also very deep, romance between two characters who are madly in love but don't always know how to confess their feelings. Axel and Rooney hold a special place in my heart now. Thank you for the e-arc.

Chloe Liese is officially on my “must read authors” list. I adored “Always Only You” so when I got the chance to review this next book in the Bergman Brothers series I was thrilled.

This book delivered 100%!

A modern take on the “marriage of convenience” trope, this book tackles issues of mental health, chronic illness and neurodivergence gracefully and kindly all while creating a scorchingly romantic story. The backdrop of a loving and caring family, funny while supportive friends and a cast of clever animals helps temper the “tragic backstory” aspects. A plot where the protagonists have real-world struggles that are handled practically and not used as a substitute for character development is such a refreshing experience.

I could write about how great this book is forever, so to avoid spoilers: just add it to your TBR list right now!

Not my favorite of the series, but I did enjoy it. I really like when author's address real world issues in romcoms, because it makes them seem less idealized (though it is still a romance!). I will continue to read the series as it comes out most certainly!

🎨With You Forever- Chloe Liese

Alright, it’s no secret that I rave about Liese’s books- so when I caught wind of her fourth book in the Bergman Brothers series being available on netgalley, I requested that baby so fast!!

And of course, it was everything I was expecting and more. Be still, my heart.

Chloe Liese writes inclusive characters so well that I cry when reading her books- literally! She writes for the neurodiverse, the disabled, the lgbtq, the anxious- and does an AMAZING job tackling sometimes hard subjects to talk about. Basically, if you haven’t read one of her books yet, I strongly recommend you pick up this series. And perfect timing for #disabilitypridemonth 💖

What I liked 💕:
•the inclusive rep (as always 🥰)
•marriage of convenience trope (I mean, it gets me every time)
•a beautiful slow burn romance
•i laughed just as much as i felt deeply moved by this one
•adorable furry friends 🐈‍⬛🐾
•cozy cabin in the woods setting that made me nostalgic and wish i was a woodsman (or dating one 😏)

I’ll recommend this series until everyone gets tired of hearing me talk 😅

With You Forever comes out on 9/14 so be sure to snag it when it comes out!

Thank you to @netgalley and @chloe_liese for the #gifted e-arc in exchange for an honest review 💛

Axel and Rooney are so adorable together! I have always liked Axel's grump side, but his sweet and caring side shines through. And once again, Chloe Liese's honest portrayal of characters with chronic illnesses or mental health issues is beautifully done. Representation at it's finest.

Here are some highlights: french braiding, sensual kisses, cooking together, a puppy and a kitten, and the ever wonderful Bergman Clan.

I've said it once, but I'll say it again, I desperately want to be a part of the Bergman family! I seriously love Chloe Liese's books. They are so full of vulnerability and emotion, and I cannot get enough! In this story, we get Axel and Rooney's story. Rooney is Willa's roommate and friend from college whom we are introduced to in Willa and Ryder's story. Axel is one of the Bergman brothers, who also happens to be autistic. Rooney suffers from IBD, which she has hid from those close to her, including Willa. The characters are so real and genuine that you forget they are not real. I seriously want the Bergman family series to be made into a television series; I would watch every single episode. I am also glad that Liese scored a book deal, because that means we get more of her writing! Seriously, I cannot say enough good things about this book, this series, and Chloe Liese. All the stars for this incredible book that made me laugh and cry and gave me all the feels!

Axel and Rooney are my new favorite couple. With You Forever is tied with Always Only You as my favorite book in this series. As soon as I finished reading this book, I messaged Chloe and asked that when she finished reading the book, did she sit back and bask in the fact that she wrote yet another masterpiece for this family?

Enjoyed, loved, and consumed are words that start to describe how I felt about this story. I loved that Axel and Rooney truly grew with one another and that they had these beautiful, tender moments that only Chloe can write. Their love story has been building since book one and it culminated with this beautiful marriage of convenience, forced proximity, (eventual) friends-to-lovers romance.

The only thing missing from this book was more of the Bergman family! I missed their antics (besides a brief cameo by the hilarious, yet heartfelt Oliver and Viggo) and felt like while I understood that Axel connected with his family the least, which explains their absence, I still wanted their insights and interaction.

Thank you to Chloe Liese & NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Chloe Liese has done it again! I couldn't put down With You Forever and read the entire book in one day. Liese is a hidden gem.... and I already can't wait for the next book in the Bergman Brothers series!

Rooney is sick. Her intestines are a mess, she's taken a semester off law school and is determined to relax. She has to prioritize her health or the outcome could be severe. Her best friend Willa loaned her the Bergman family cabin, and it sounds like the perfect solution to Rooney's problems.

Rooney's world comes crashing down around her with she pulls up to the cabin and spots Axel. Willa's brother is too hot to handle but wants nothing to do with her after their kiss at last family's Thanksgiving.

An emergency lands Rooney at Axel's cabin and the two settle into something more than either thought was ever possible. A marriage of convenience, a construction project, and a new kitten lead Rooney and Axel on the journey of a lifetime.

A slow burn, own voices romance- Liese's books are hot hot hot! Preorder this one today!

Chloe Liese does it once again!

With You Forever has managed to work its way to the top for my favorite Bergman Brothers book. I feel like I say this every time a new one comes out, but I feel like this one will definitely be hard to beat!

The tropes in this!

The fake marrige! The forced proximity! The mutual pining! The grump-sunshine dynamic! The "we can totally just screw this out of our systems" mindset!

Axel and Rooney had me grinning and literally laughing out loud at some of their banter but then would have me almost in tears when they would open up to each other. I personally do not have Autism or IBS so I can't say one way or another on how those were portrayed but I'm just so glad these Bergman Brothers books makes these things more accessible to those that do so that there's books where they can feel seen as well!

Chloe always knocks it out of the park and I honestly cannot wait for this book to be available to the public so that everyone can experience this wonderful piece!!

I'm never going to get enough of this series! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

First of all, THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO MUCH NetGalley for the ARC of this book. I couldn't believe that I got an early read of this beautiful story. So thank you! 🙈❤🥺

Now let's come to this story, this beautiful beautiful series that I have fallen in love with and don't get enough of it.
Axel and Rooney's story is as beautiful as the first ray of sunrise and dusk of the dawn. ❤

Without giving any spoilers I want to list some of my most favorite scenes from this story that's going to stay in my heart and mind for years to come.

The French braid scene and the story behind it 🥺
The cat scenes 😍
The not-my-dog scenes 🤭❤
The storm scene 🥰💕
The wedding scene💜
The wedding gift of Axel💝
And the list goes on and on...

I don't know how Miss Chloe does this but she writes the best scenes and best stories that I have ever read. I have said this before and I will say it again her stories are the fresh air of an ocean and I just want to keep on breathing it.

𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲:

👉🏾 "Absence has presence. Abstraction is representational."

👉🏾I want every day, cramming as many lifetimes as possible into the one we’ve been given because finding you thirty years into my existence and only getting one chance to love you isn’t nearly enough.”

And to all the people who wants to read this but not sure about it, I just want to say this:
👉🏾“Reading a book is just like opening your heart to someone. You won’t know if you’ll connect until you try.”

This quote is from this book only.

The thing that got me was the intensity of the yearning that Rooney and Axel have for each other. The reader knows from the jump they are both batshit crazy for each other. Like 90% of the time I was caught up in the swoon of it all and the other 10% I was like “JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER ABOUT IT ALREADY! YOU FEEL THE SAME WAY!”

But these Bergmans, they are magic. I have never wanted to be part of a fictional literary family more. I can’t wait to read Oliver’s story next year (and I desperately hope we also get stories for Viggo and Ziggy at some point too! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼).

And a girl can dream, I also wanted an epilogue that told me what happened on the other side of that A-Frame door after the resolution curtain call happened … because that was certain to be wild and joyful.

Some definite mixed feelings about this one.

She’s looking for a place to stay and he’s looking for a wife. So a marriage of convenience is obviously the only answer.

Okay okay
Now I adore adore this series
And was so looking forward to this one, a grumpy/ sunshine pairing with a marriage of convenience literally cannot get any better in my eyes
But in some parts, it just fell a little bit short of what I was expecting
That’s not to say i didn’t enjoy it I loved it there were just a few things I felt it was missing

Namely the fact that they never even told his family that they were married?? I felt like I was waiting the whole book for that and they just never told them or her best friend which honestly really disappointed me.

There was also just a general lack of the family in general which the family aspect is one of my favourite parts of this series and it was just lacking here.

I did adore Axel and Roony as characters and loved the dynamic that they had.

Overall whilst I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and loved the characters I just felt the whole time I was waiting for something more that just never happened.

3.5-4 stars

I loved this book so much!! Chloe Liese is wonderful at exploring the different ways people are nuerodiverse & how they each love differntly. I also really appreciated all of the information about IBD/UC as a chronic illness. The romance was sliw burn but in the best most believable way. You could see Rooney & Axel's relationship evolve and it was beautiful.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me a copy of With You Forever in exchange for my honest review.

I finally had time to sit down and read With You Forever, and wow, Chloe Liese did NOT disappoint. I loved so so so many things in this book, but here are some of my favorite:
-incredible IBD representation. Hearing Rooney voice her intestinal problems to Axel while hoping it would not make her less attractive in his eye truly touched me.
-Amazing grumpy/sunshine chemistry (one of the best I’ve ever read!)
-Long, honest talks about consent and personal tastes in bed. So often, we read books where everything magically works perfectly, but I loved how Rooney and Axel could be confident and comfortable enough to talk about it.
-Laugh-out-loud scenes (I got so many weird looks from laughing so much!)
-Awesome conversations about therapy and mental health and neurodivergence.
-the marriage of convenience because duh!

I love the Bergman family so much and as much as I try, I can’t pick a favorite because they’re all so amazing. I loved seeing snippets of other couples in this book.

Please, please, please, do yourself a favor and buy this book. You will not be disappointed!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ romance stars. Author, Chloe Liese (@chloe_liese) has written another romantic winner with her latest book, With You Forever. Roonie and Axel have been “friends” for years through family friendships and have both held serious yet secretive attractions to each other. Axel is a Bergman brother (there are many) who are all athletes and hunky outdoorsmen playing hockey and sports professionally. Alex is the lone wolf as a painter and solitary brother who likes peace since he is somewhat on the spectrum. But that doesn’t mean he can get Roonie out of his mind. Roonie is a driven female law school miles away at Stanford until her chronic health condition flares up and she has to take a semester off. The Bergstrom family offers their Seattle countryside vacation home to relax and she arrives to find Axel living in a house he built close to the vacation home which is under renovation. Ms. Liese is great at setting up a slow-burn romance and the sexual tension is heavy between these two. It takes some time for them to find their footing but circumstances bring them together and then apart and then together. It’s a cute and sweet story that comes to a climax (pun intended) in the end. I love it when a story has some romance, laughs, and heartfelt moments. This one is loaded with all three. Some steamy content but not a ton. Enjoy! This is the 4th Bergman brother book and I would advise you to read them all. Loads of fun. #love #life #laughs #trials #wedding #breakup #makeup @chloe_liese #withyouforever #family #bergmanbrothers

Alllll the stars!!! Chloe Liese is my favorite contemporary romance author and this book did not disappoint!

I have been shipping Rooney and Axel since book one of the Bergman Family series and they did not disappoint. Marriage of convenience destined to be more, and as always loads of representation. My favorite part… the open and honest communication! Even when they struggled to be open and honest they worked their way to it. Axel allows Rooney to be who she is without any of societies standards and I’m here for it! Rooney allows Axel to be who he is because she takes the time to understand him and his his mind works. Honestly it’s such a beautiful love story. Go read ASAP!

5/5 stars!

A huge thank you to NetGalley and for sending me an E-ARC for an honest review.

To say I cried while reading this book would be 100% true. But I seem to be crying every single time I pick up one of Chloe Liese’s books lately? They hit me right in the heart-strings. I have adored the last few books in this series, so I was really excited to receive an ARC of WITH YOU FOREVER. I loved seeing Rooney and Axel’s characters in the last few books so I was super excited to finally get their romance.

This book has every single thing I need in a romance: Fake-Dating/Marriage for convenience, attraction-hate-friends-love, a kick-ass female lead who excels in academia, home renovation, puppies and kittens, chronic illness rep, and a hot and beautiful male lead with own-voice Autism rep!

To say I loved this book would be an understatement. I think the only thing I disliked was the one moment that Axel said he didn’t like Harry Styles, but I have faith in my mind that Rooney will convert Axel to a Harry Styles fan sometime in the future.

As an autistic reader, Axel is one of the most relatable main characters I have ever read. I honestly cannot wait to get my hands on a physical copy of this book so that I can annotate and highlight all of my favorite lines from this book. It is so so important to see honest, accepted, well-written autism rep in books and Chloe Liese does not disappoint. I can’t even express how amazing it is to see Rooney love and accept all that Axel is. This book was healing to read, and was so so emotional for me.

I will honestly read anything that Chloe Liese writes, and I cannot wait to read more romances set around the Bergman family! I really recommend this book!

Thanks for reading!
Caden

“What an irony, that a loveless marriage became the safest place to build love after all.”

- with every new book chloe publishes in the bergman brother series, i begin to love each book a little more than the last one. axel and rooney were so real and honest and really just amazing characters to read about. there were so many precious scenes in the book where they didn’t need to show the love they have for each other through words, for example axel braiding her hair and rooney taking care of him. it was just SO sweet and i never wanted it to end.
- the bergman family just have my entire heart okay. they’re the best people ever and i can’t wait for ollies story next.

Rooney Sullivan and Axel Bergman have been secretly pining for each other for years. They have successfully stayed clear of each other since their an unforgettable kiss they shared a couple of years ago. With some Bergman meddling, they both end up at the Bergman vacation home in Washington at the same time. When Rooney finds out that a marriage of convenience will help Axel when she first arrives, she proposes that she be the one to help him. What the two thought would be a loveless marriage turns out to be one of mutual love that they could only hope for.

THIS BOOK!!! I was in tears for the last couple chapters of this book. The vulnerability that Axel showed to Rooney was so beautiful that it had me crying. Axel is a serious and grumpy neurodiverse man and because he has a hard time discerning his feelings and communicating them, it made his confessions of love even more heartfelt. It took a lot for him to share his fears and to put himself out there and I loved that he was able to do it so eloquently through his words and art. My heart is tremendously full from the beautiful HEA that Chloe Liese has written for Rooney and Axel.

The tension building in this book from Rooney and Axel secretly pining for each other was so yummy! I loved that when they began to be physically intimate that consent was a big part of those steamy scenes. They both were constantly checking in with each other, making sure the other was ok with what they were doing, talking openly about what they liked and it was DAMN SEXY!!!

This book is Liese's best writing to date. I loved her writing in the other books, but I feel like her writing gets more sophisticated with each new book. The characters and the story in this book had depth and layers in a way that hit me deep in my heart and gave me all the feels.

I LOVE THE BERGMANS! They are a family who knows how to love big and being in their world warms my heart. I can't wait for the next book and to see Oliver get his HEA!

⚠️: chronic illness (IBD)

“You promised, if another kiss was necessary, you were going to make it terrible.”
Air leaves him unsteadily, as he leans closer. “I’m not going to keep that promise.”

Oh my goodness with the swooning. EPIC LEVELS OF SWOONING.

This is the story of Axel and Rooney. It is sweet and emotional and chock full of all the feels. The first half of this story is a healthy dose of introspection and internal monologuing. We really get to know what is going on in everyone’s head, which makes the pace feel a little slower, but truly makes sense when you look at the protagonists. We’ve got a grumpy mountain man with autism and a people pleaser heroine who is battling chronic illness and a lot of indecision about her future.

It takes them awhile to open up communication with one another, but when they finally brave stepping away from their fear, whoo, whoo boy. This is a romance for the ages. I can totally see snuggling up with this book again and again. I adored the way they learned to open up with one another- Rooney gives the quiet and space for Axel to speak and Axel gives Rooney the unconditional care that she so desperately seeks. They seek to really *know* one another and it is so terribly touching.

It boggles my mind that these two ever thought a marriage of convenience wouldn’t lead to more. 😂 Struggling with questionable feelings from the get go, you almost want to clunk their heads together for how they skirt around their feelings with a lot of assumptions. But again- due to each persons internal battles- I just “got” it. I don’t have to love it for it to make complete sense for THEM. And, it did.

I particularly loved the drop in of the Bergman man cubs and Viggo with the romance mic drops was one of those scenes that make the romance reader in me want to fist pump and shout from the rooftops!

Chloe Liese always does such an amazing job writing with inclusivity, sensitivity, and honesty. I find my ebook coated in highlights because the way she words insights is utterly poetic. What a beautiful romance. When it ended- I felt like this story was really only the beginning. We spent so much time in their heads- there was a lot about their marriage/relationship we don’t get to- it is truly the very beginning of their relationship- I had questions, I feel like they need a follow up. I hope/suspect that their story continues to unfold in the next Bergman book. I continue to look forward to what comes next in this series!

“I watch her watching the sunrise, knowing I could do this the rest of my life: witness sunlight painting Rooney better than I ever could, the day wrapping its arms around her, illuminating what’s inside her heart- warmth, hope, a depth of joy I never thought I’d know, let alone love, yet here I am.” 💙

I received an advanced copy from
Netgalley but all opinions are my own.
